Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 part 1

As everything settled, Adrian and Elena found themselves standing in a vast white space.

It stretched endlessly in every direction, as if the world itself had been erased. Beneath their feet, a circular pattern of faint glowing lines slowly faded, the last traces of the teleportation disappearing.

Without much concern, Adrian opened his bag, stuffed the snacks inside, and slung it over his shoulder.

They weren't alone.

At the center of the space, a woman sat casually beside a low table covered with snack bags and drink cans, as if she had been spending a quiet evening there. Long pink hair fell loosely over her shoulders, and even while sitting, it was obvious she possessed an otherworldly beauty.

Elena's eyes immediately fixed on her, her posture shifting into a guarded stance, ready to react if necessary.

Adrian noticed it—but his attention quickly drifted to the television beside the table.

The screen was on, and it wasn't showing some random movie.

Instead, it was showing his room.

For a moment, Adrian stared at the screen in silence. Then, as if reaching a conclusion, he spoke.

"…So we have a peeping god."

Hearing him, Elena followed his gaze toward the television. The moment she recognized the familiar room, her expression tightened.

A brief silence followed.

Then—

"Peeping?"

The pink-haired woman had already set the remote aside, her eyes now fixed on Adrian. There was a faint smile on her lips, though it didn't quite reach her eyes.

"That's not how you describe a god," she said while looking at them.

"I'm not expecting you to worship me, but a little consideration wouldn't be unreasonable, don't you think?"

Adrian didn't reply.

Seraphine's smile softened, though something playful lingered beneath it.

"And if you can't do that," she continued lightly, "I don't mind making your nights more interesting."

Her gaze lingered on him.

"For example, I can make every guy in your world deeply in love with you. Every night, one of them appears in your bedroom."

A small pause followed.

"With their help, it wouldn't take much time for your preferences to change."

Elena stepped forward immediately.

"I apologize on his behalf," she said, lowering her head slightly. "The situation is still confusing, and he may not have chosen his words carefully."

She straightened, her expression serious as she looked directly at the goddess.

"Could you tell us why we are here?"

Seraphine's attention shifted to her. For a moment, she simply watched Elena, a faintly pleased smile forming on her face.

"I've been watching him for quite some time," she said. "It was quite fun to watch you two getting together."

Her gaze briefly flicked toward Adrian.

"But from what I've seen recently, things are starting to go in the wrong direction. Instead of ending up with you, he may end up surrounded by a bunch of other girls, which I cannot accept."

Elena frowned, clearly unconvinced.

"That doesn't make sense," she said calmly. "There's no reason for us to separate. And even if he tried to run…"

Her gaze shifted toward Adrian, steady and unhurried.

"it wouldn't really change anything. As I just have to catch him back."

Adrian blinked. For a moment, he wasn't sure how to respond to that.

"That sounds like yandere," he muttered. There was a clear worry on his face as he didn't like that Idea.

For the first time, Seraphine's expression shifted slightly.

"That… might be my fault," she admitted after a brief pause. "I've been watching him a little too closely, and yesterday I may have given him more love-related blessings than intended."

The silence that followed grew heavier.

Elena stared at her.

"You did what?"

"It was an accident," Seraphine replied quickly, raising her hands slightly. "And your 'breakup' has nothing to do with my blessing. That would simply be the result of misunderstandings."

She paused, then spoke again in an assured voice.

"Besides, with me here, there's no need to worry. As the goddess of love and life, I can make sure the two of you still end up together."

Adrian finally spoke.

"So you can just make people fall in love?"

Seraphine looked at him, her expression steady.

"No. I don't control people like that. I only make it easier for those who already have feelings for each other… just a small push, so they can become a happy couple."

Adrian remained silent, watching her as her words settled in his mind. Only for people who already have feelings… His gaze drifted briefly toward Elena, and for a moment, doubt surfaced. Did I misunderstand something?

The thought didn't last as he looked back at Seraphine.

No… that doesn't change anything. She might be the kind of goddess who supports transgender people. After all, even her threat was about making all men fall in love with him.

The thought loop didn't last forever.

When Adrian finally came out of it, he blinked once and looked up.

At some point, things had already changed.

Seraphine and Elena were now sitting across from each other by the table, casually eating snacks as they spoke in low voices. The tone was relaxed—almost familiar—like two people who had already moved past formalities and were sharing something quietly between themselves.

Adrian stared at them for a moment.

Did I miss something?

Seraphine noticed him looking.

She raised a hand slightly, gesturing toward them as if inviting him to join, a faint smile on her lips.

"You think too much," she said lightly. "So I figured I'd use the time to give her a bit of advice. It seemed more productive."

Adrian paused for a moment, glancing between the two of them. Whatever they had been talking about, it clearly wasn't something they wanted him to hear.

"So now these two are friends," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

He walked over and took a seat.

"If all you wanted was for us to become a couple," Adrian said calmly, "I guess you could have just used more blessings."

His eyes settled on her.

"You already said you can push things in that direction, so there was no need to summon us here."

Inside, Adrian felt a quiet sense of satisfaction. At least he had avoided saying what he was really thinking.

"You're not wrong," Seraphine said calmly. "If it were only about the two of you, I wouldn't have needed to bring you here."

She leaned back slightly, her tone still light. "The truth is, both worlds are going to face problems sooner or later, so I chose someone who could move between them and act on my behalf."

Her gaze settled on him.

"I've been watching you for a while, and you fit what I needed." A faint smile followed. "As for the two of you becoming a couple… that's just something I like to see."

Adrian and Elena exchanged a brief glance, the meaning settling in.

"You said both worlds are going to face problems," Elena said slowly. "What exactly does that mean?"

Adrian frowned slightly. "How serious are we talking?"

"Not as dramatic as you're imagining," Seraphine said lightly. "At least, not yet."

She picked up a snack, as if the topic didn't require urgency.

"Small things, for now. Creatures appearing where they shouldn't. They're weak at the start—most of them don't even last long. Some get killed before anyone notices… animals, usually."

She shrugged.

"There are changes in the environment as well, but nothing obvious enough for people to pay attention to yet."

Her gaze returned to them.

"But if it follows the same pattern as my world, they won't stay weak for long. Eventually, stronger ones will appear… and that's when it becomes a problem."

A brief pause.
