Chapter 32 - A Living Saint

After being called by Kintoki I decided to head back to the shop to see what was happening, soon enough I appeared with Kintoki leaning over the form of a woman who was heavily injured.

Her body was covered in bone deep slash marks across her body along with massive puncture holes that appear to have been from massive high caliber weapons.

But the amount of life force in her body was astonishingly high, these wounds would kill a normal person but for her was nothing more than a hindrance.

Though they were severe enough that she couldn't keep herself conscious from her wounds, "Let's bring her over to the resting area." I say lifting her up along with Kintoki as the resting area changed from a lounge to a medical bed instead.

"Boss that sword she has, it crazy powerful, like I can feel divine power flowing through it but not like the Christian Gods power even though she looks like an angel." Kintoki says as the woman keeps clutching her radiant sword tightly and not letting it go even in her current state.

"No she's not an Angel Kintoki as her powers don't come from the Biblical God but from her God Emperor." I say as I see who she really is.

Name: Celestine

Title: The Living Saint

Universe: Warhammer 40k

*********

Saint Celestine, the Living Saint of the Warhammer Universe and the divine authority of her God Emperors Judgement.

"She comes from a Universe that knows only War, and because of her total faith in the Emperor of Mankind who has risen to deity status through worship, unless her emperor wills it she can never die." I say to him as he scratches the back of his head.

"Well…. Do we have to worry about her wrecking the place then?" Kintoki asks but I shake my head.

"Besides the divinity that is healing her body she won't be able to use any of her divine might to attack us even if she tried, besides in here she is cut off from her Emperors light so using up all the divinity she has will only be enough to heal her wounds, but I'll handle this Kintoki, from now on I'll deal with first time customers but if old customers come back I'll leave it to you to deal with them, unless they want to talk to me specifically." I tell him.

Hearing that he shrugs as it gave him more time to working on his Bear(Bike), so he soon left leaving me here with the unconscious Saint.

"I have a feeling I'm not going to profit from this encounter but maybe I could make something from this." I mutter to myself as I went behind the counter and pulled out my phone to scroll and read stories on.

..

.

About two hours later the Saint Began to stir from her sleep, "Ugh…. What in the Emperors name?…. Where am I?" She started to say as she looked around seeing herself still clad in armor and her sword, The Ardent Blade, still in her hand.

"Your in a Place between Time and Space Saint Celestine." I say to her as she pulls herself off from her bed looking at her now fully healed body.

Hearing my voice she looked towards me, but her training and caution put her on edge as she held her sword tightly before pointing it at me.

"Is this somewhere within the Warp? What follower of the chaos gods are you to speak so plainly to me?" She says with an air of authority to her voice.

"Chaos gods? Haha, those beings can't even reach here unless I let them, this isn't the Warp Celestine, this isn't even the universe you call home, so I am by no means needed to worship any gods from your universe, neither your God Emperor nor the Chaos gods or any gods from your Universe for that matter, your universe is nothing but a book, a time for me to read at my pleasure." I explain to her but she doesn't quite believe me.

"Don't believe me? Then try and call upon the divinity given to you by the emperor, after all no matter where you are in your universe so long as you are there you should have that connection to him right?" I ask her.

Hearing this she pauses before giving a silent prayer to prove this heretic in her eyes wrong, but then nothing, only silence fills the air, her connection to her god is gone, not even when she was lost in the depths of the warp was her connection severed from her emperor.

Her eyes widen before she falls to a knee while her psychic powered angel wings finally disappear, signaling to her that in this place her god really can't reach her.

"Do you believe it now Celestine? In here your god has no power over this place as even his reach can not grasp this place, all he is to me is a rotting corpse sitting a golden throne feeding on the life of his subjects to survive like a leech who won't stay dead." I say the brutal truth of the matter as she grits her teeth.

She wants to get up and use her sword to smite me down, but all the strength she wants for battle just evaporates before she could even hold her weapon.

"But you know this shop that exists beyond time and space sells anything and when I say anything I really do mean anying" I say to her making her pause from hearing that.

"Like say if humanity wanted to revive that rotting corpse and bring back your emperor to life then I have it right here for sale, but you don't have anything worth of worth to trade in order for me to do that." I say to her as the thought of bringing back the emperor from the abyss brings her nothing but hope at the thought.

"Speak, what would you require of me to do this transaction of yours." She asks me as if the humanity was returned to the Emperor then mankind could finally rule the galaxy like during the days of the great crusade.

"You will need to do two thing for me" I say as I pulled out 4 empty crystal decanters that were covered in many different seals and runes with their lids left open.

"These a Evil Containment Decanters, their job is to seal away anything and everything that is evil, your mission is this, you or those with you must slay 4 traitor Primarch and seal their souls within these Decanters, and the second thing is to travel the warp in search of the one Known as the Star Child, that being is the remains of your Emperors cast of humanity, only by the power of the Star Child will it be even remotely possible to revive your emperor." I explain to her.

"Bring me the four souls and using them with trade I shall give you an item that will save your emperor from his slow and agonizing death that will claim him at the latest a few centuries, or at the earliest another decade or two at this rate." I say to her as she comes before these decanters that were radiating a divine aura off of them.

"And you, a merchant, would give these to me for free?" She asks confused as any merchant she has ever known would never give away something for free, but I just shake my head.

"Sometimes giving something away will get me more back in capital when you return, as those Primarch souls will easily pay off for everyone of these decanters." I explain to her, not mentioning they are at the 75% discount for me in the first place so these were barely a drop in the bucket.

"And while that sword is powerful it would have a hard time slaying those Fallen Primarchs, here let me empower it for you even more so than it already is." I say to her as I hold out my hand.

She looks at her sword whose blazing heat has died with no power to it anymore, anyone but her that would touch it would be burned to ash, but when she placed it in my hands it did nothing, solidifying this place was well beyond her emperors light.

Holding her long sword on it I pulled up a list of holy items before stopping on one, which was a small chalice filled with red blood, the Blood of Christ itself which I let sink onto the blade before me as I began to pull up a verse from the bible that I remembered by heart.

"He said to me: It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega. The Beginning and the End. To the Thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life." I say as the blade drinks up every last drop of blood before it glows in an even holier light to it than ever before.

I then hand it back to her, "There, this blade will have the strength for you to do what needs to be done in your hour of need, and here a way for you to come back here when the Deed is done." I say handing her a brass orb allowing her to return.

She takes her blade and feeling the new divinity, a divine and ancient power that precedes even the Emperor himself along with the small bronze orb that could let her come back here when the time is right.

"Thank you merchant, for letting me heal my wounds and empowering my blade, I know not how long it will take for my return but I will complete this mission to bring back the emperor to life." She says clasping the blade tightly in her hand while the four decanters were holstered to her hips.

"Then I wish you the best of luck in your future battles, after all this quest is going to be a long and arduous one, oh and if you are to tell of this to anyone only bring it up with any of the remaining Loyal Primarchs still alive and if they don't believe you let them come here to see the truth." I say to her as she nods and heads for the door.

Then she pauses and turns to look at me, "I never got your name Merchant." She asked me to which I smiled slightly.

"You may call me Orion, now may we meet again after one of the Fallen Primarchs has been defeated by you Saint Celestine." I say to her.

"Orion, I will remember that, farewell." She says justly before opening the door and stepping on through leaving me alone once again inside of my shop.

"A few thousand credits for the potential profits in the billions? Yeah I would say a deal like that is quite worth it, now all I have to do is wait, wonder how long it shall be before she or the Primarchs come to my shop?" I asked myself before shaking my head.

That's for the future to deal with as I got up from my chair and returned to my throne room as I sat while planning the layout of my City.

"I wonder who will win the competition?" I said to myself as I went to work before waiting for the good news.
