I felt more than a little offended by the rudeness of Kael's father, but I realised that some things needed to remain within the family, so I had withdrawn from his office just as he had asked. Besides, the darkness that glinted within his eyes was more than a little intimidating. Once outside the office, I was uncertain of how long Kael planned to be. So, I lingered upon the hallway for a short time, but Kael did not come. I decided that he may need some time with his father, and I wandered through the hallways of the packhouse until I reached one of the smaller lounges. I say down, and my mind wandered to Kael, and all that he had told me. Seemed he had secrets of his own, just as I had. We weren't so different after all...
