Some truths don't just break hearts… they destroy everything.
Roshni stood in the middle of the dark room, her heart pounding wildly inside her chest—fear, anger, and something she couldn't name.
"You don't know the truth…"
Rayan said slowly, his eyes burning with a cold intensity.
Roshni clenched her jaw.
"Then tell me. I don't want to hear any more lies."
Silence filled the room.
Then Rayan stepped closer. Very close.
Close enough for her to feel his breath.
"Your father's death… wasn't an accident."
Roshni froze.
"What are you saying…?"
Rayan didn't look away.
"It was murder."
The air turned cold.
"Who… who did it?"
Her voice trembled.
Rayan paused… then said,
"My family."
Everything inside her shattered.
"You knew?"
Her eyes filled with tears, but she refused to cry.
Rayan whispered,
"I couldn't stop them…"
Roshni stepped back.
"Then why did you hide it from me?"
Rayan grabbed her hand tightly.
"Because I didn't want to lose you."
"Lose me?"
She let out a sharp, broken laugh.
"You already lost me."
She pulled her hand away.
But Rayan didn't let her go.
He pinned her against the wall, his presence overwhelming.
"You can hate me…"
he said in a low voice,
"but you can't walk away from me."
"Why…?"
Roshni whispered.
Rayan leaned closer to her ear.
"Because you belong to me."
For a moment, time stopped.
Roshni closed her eyes…
then pushed him away.
"I'm not yours,"
she said coldly.
She walked toward the door… but paused.
Behind her, Rayan spoke—
"Truth hurts, Roshni… but it binds us."
She didn't turn back.
A silent tear slipped down her cheek.
