Chapter 83 - Chapter 83. Out of the Meta

"Momo, look at this girl. Isn't she the white-haired girl we saw a few days ago?" Looking at the photo that had just been sent to her phone, Kamanato almost instantly remembered where she had seen the girl in the picture.

White hair, red eyes, and such a beautiful face—it was definitely that girl, no mistake about it.

A girl like her was definitely one of a kind.

"Let me see. Oh, it really is her! Is she the Yuna you mentioned?" Momo leaned over to take a look and was also certain that this white-haired girl was the same one from the restaurant.

It had only been a few days since they saw her, so the impression was still fresh.

Kamanato shook her head. "No, this is York Rose."

Although she really wanted to complain about why Yuna didn't send a photo of herself but sent one of York Rose instead, Kamanato quickly convinced herself.

It was probably because York Rose was more recognizable. After all, being a white-haired girl, she was bound to be quite conspicuous in a crowd.

As for Yuna... Kamanato had already guessed.

The cute girl who was sitting next to York Rose that day and whispering to her must have been Yuna.

"And she said she wasn't pretty, yet both of them are such dangerous beauties." The gray-haired girl sighed and reached out to put an arm around Momo's shoulder. "Come on, give me a smile."

"Huh?" Momo was a bit puzzled, but out of trust for Kamanato, she still gave a very standard smile.

With a click, Kamanato finished the selfie.

After lightly touching up the photo with the phone's built-in beauty app, she sent the group photo to Leticia.

"The one with gray hair is me, and the one with black hair is my friend Momo."

..."Oh, the Guild Leader replied to me." Leticia looked at the message notification that suddenly appeared on her phone and quickly switched to the chat app.

On the chat page with the Guild Leader, a photo and a sentence had now been added.

At first glance, Leticia felt that the two people in the photo looked familiar.

"Those two... do we know them?" Leticia asked Melanie, somewhat unable to believe it.

Melanie decisively took the opportunity to lean close to Leticia. After seeing the photo on the phone screen, she quickly provided the answer.

"They're the people we beat up last week."

"I remember seeing them when we were eating last time, too. My god, is this world really that small?" Leticia was truly surprised; she had actually beaten up her own dear Guild Leader without knowing it.

This was truly tragic; the Guild Leader was Leticia's best friend, after all.

Knowing that Melanie had only paid a tiny price to have Leticia beat her own best friend into the hospital, Leticia immediately felt a sense of unfairness.

"You, surnamed York, it's all your fault! You actually made me beat the Guild Leader into the hospital!"

"You seemed pretty happy when you were hitting them." Melanie indicated that she couldn't be blamed for this; Leticia had been quite cheerful while fighting that day.

"I don't care. The Guild Leader is my best friend. You tricked me into hitting my best friend, so you have to pay extra!" Leticia huffed.

"Don't be silly. You didn't hit the Guild Leader; the one who hit her was Haruno." Melanie had recently learned Leticia's skill of lying through her teeth. For instance, right now, she claimed without any psychological burden that it wasn't her and Leticia who had acted.

The ones who acted were York Rose and Haruno, right? What did that have to do with Melanie and Leticia?

Leticia gave Melanie a very surprised look; the speed of this person's change could truly be described as a thousand miles a day.

She had only been back for a few days, and her tongue was already so sharp. What would happen in the future?

This child will surely become a great threat in the future; she must not be allowed to remain... Ah, wrong script.

"Anyway, the Guild Leader doesn't know it was the two of us. As long as you don't say anything and I don't say anything, who would guess that the two people that night were us?" Melanie said it wasn't a big deal; the Guild Leader couldn't possibly know this secret.

"I hope so. I don't want to be questioned by the Guild Leader later about why I hit her so hard." Leticia curled her lip. She wasn't actually worried about it; she was mainly just trying to annoy Melanie.

However, judging by the result, Leticia's calculations had missed the mark.

"The Guild Leader is very pretty. I thought she was as ordinary-looking as I am."

"This behavior of yours seems to be called humblebragging." Watching Leticia send the previous message, York Ling whispered a complaint from the side.

If Leticia's looks could be considered mediocre, then 99.9% of the people in this world could only be given the evaluation of 'just go and reroll your life.'

In any case, in York Ling's impression, Leticia was in a league of her own.

Even Leticia's younger sister, Ohara, had some slight deficiencies in comparison.

York Ling's opinion was completely in line with the Guild Leader's. Looking at the message Leticia sent, the Guild Leader, sitting on the bus, burst out laughing.

"This Ohara is too much. If she's considered 'ordinary,' then the two of us are ugly beyond belief."

"Is this girl named Ohara always like this?" Leticia, on the other hand, felt a slight sense of dissatisfaction toward Leticia.

After all, she knew how beautiful the other girl was. In Leticia's view, there was always a bit of a hidden meaning in this kind of reply.

"Yes, this girl just loves doing things like this to satisfy her little ego." Sayo nodded. Having spent many years with Leticia, she knew exactly what kind of person the girl was.

"She... doesn't have many friends, does she?"

"Yeah, besides me and Leticia, she probably doesn't have any others." Sayo was also very familiar with Leticia's interpersonal relationships. "She usually only plays online with people from the guild. I'm not sure about other games, but in this one, there are only a few people on her friends list."

Sayo had the account and password for Leticia's game account; similarly, Leticia had the Guild Leader's.

Sometimes they would help each other do daily tasks or grind for equipment and such.

So Sayo knew very well that Leticia wasn't a very popular presence even in the game.

Unlike her own packed friends list, Leticia's friends were just the Guild Leader and a few others Leticia felt she got along with.

"I guess only someone with a good temper like yours could put up with her."

"That's not it. Once you've spent enough time with Ohara, you'll find that the girl is actually very warm-hearted. She'll say 'no, no' with her mouth, but her actions are faster than anyone else's." Sayo said with a giggle, "She's very sincere toward her friends."

"But most people would be driven away by her attitude, wouldn't they?"

"Yeah, which is why tsunderes have fallen out of the meta. In today's society, who still likes that kind of hot-and-cold behavior?" Sayo remarked that it was lucky it was her; otherwise, her cute tsundere guild member would probably still be all alone today.
