Chapter 9 - Ch.8 Where is Jay???

Author's POV ✍️

Nobody knew exactly when it happened.

One moment Jay was hugging the Snorlax tightly like a koala 🐨 completely unbothered by the fact that there was an actual human being inside that costume.

And the next moment —

The Snorlax spoke. 😶

"You know—" A voice came from somewhere inside the giant green costume. Muffled. But very clearly male. And very clearly enjoying this situation entirely too much. 😏 "You are honestly the cutest person who has ever hugged me in this entire park."

Complete silence from everyone watching. 😶

Jay pulled back slightly and looked at the Snorlax. 👀

"I have been standing here for four hours." The voice continued completely unbothered. 😏 "And nobody — NOBODY — has ever made me feel this appreciated."

Jay blinked.

"You hug really well." The Snorlax added. 😏

And then —

Jay blushed. 🍅

Not because of the man.

Definitely not because of the man.

Because it was a SNORLAX. 🟢🥺

And the Snorlax was saying she hugged it the best and that was honestly the most touching thing anyone had said to her all week and she did not care about the human being inside because in her mind it was just —

Snorlax. 🥺🤩

"Thank you." She said quietly still slightly pink. 😊

"No—" The Snorlax leaned forward slightly. 😏 "Thank YOU. Seriously. You are something else entirely."

Jay smiled again. 🥺😊

The Snorlax — feeling very encouraged by this — opened his arms slightly wider. 😏

"One more hug??" 😏

Jay's eyes lit up. ✨

"OKAY THAT IS ENOUGH." 😤

Aries stepped forward immediately planting himself directly between Jay and the Snorlax with an expression that said he was done with this entire situation and had been done for approximately five minutes. 😤😡

"Jay." He said very tightly. "Step away from the Snorlax."

"Aries—" 😭

"NOW Jay." 😤

"But he said one more—" 😭

"I HEARD WHAT HE SAID." 😤😤

Percy appeared smoothly on Jay's other side placing himself between Jay and the Snorlax with that pleasant smile that was approximately zero percent pleasant. 😏😤

"Baby sister."

He said very warmly. "Come with us." 😊

"Percy he just wants one more hug—" 😭

"He wants considerably more than one more hug." Percy said still smiling. 😏😤

"And that is exactly why we are leaving."

"YOU DON'T KNOW THAT—" 😤😭

"Jay." Aries grabbed her arm firmly. 😤

"I am not done—" 😭

"YOU ARE DONE." 😤

The two of them started pulling Jay away from the Snorlax one on each arm.

Jay pulled BACK. 😤😭

"ARIES LET GO—" 😤

"JAY COME—" 😤

"PERCY STOP PULLING—" 😤

"WE ARE NOT STOPPING—" 😤

It was — not an easy process. 😂💀

Jay was surprisingly strong for someone with an injured leg and the Snorlax was not helping matters by standing there looking at Jay with those big round Snorlax eyes 👀 which Jay kept looking back at over her shoulder every three seconds with the most devastated expression. 😭🥺

"He is still there—" Jay said. 😭

"DO NOT LOOK BACK." Aries said. 😤

"But—" 😭

"JAY." 😤

The Snorlax waved. 👋😏

Jay's whole face lit up. ✨😍

"HE WAVED—" 😍

"I SAW." Aries said through gritted teeth still pulling. 😤

"STOP WAVING BACK JAY—" Percy said because Jay had started waving back enthusiastically. 😤😂

"HE WAVED FIRST—" 😤😭

"IT DOES NOT MATTER

WHO WAVED FIRST—" 😤

Meanwhile.

Section E had formed a very deliberate very strategic human barrier around Kiefer. 😂💀

Felix on the left. 💀

Calix on the right. 💀

Blaster directly in front. 💀

David quietly on the side. 🥺

Eren filming absolutely everything. 📱😂

Eman eating ice cream completely unbothered. 🍦😁

Kiefer was watching the Snorlax.

The Snorlax who had just waved at Jay.

Who Jay had enthusiastically waved back at.

Who had called Jay cute.

Who had asked for one more hug.

Who was now

Still waving. 😤

Something in Kiefer's chest that had been burning steadily for the past several minutes reached a temperature that could no longer be described as controlled. 😤🔥

He started walking forward. 😤🤬😡😠👿☠️💀👽

"Kiefer—" Felix grabbed his arm immediately. 😱

"Let go." 😤

"Kiefer it is a MASCOT—"

Calix grabbed the other arm. 😱

"There is a MAN inside that mascot." 😤🔥

"We know but—" 😶

"A man who called my Jay cute." 😤🔥

"Technically he called the hug—" Blaster started.

One look from Kiefer and Blaster immediately stopped talking. 💀

"A man—" Kiefer continued very quietly 😤 "who asked her for ONE MORE HUG." 😤🔥

"Okay yes that was a bit—" Felix started. 😶

"Let. Go." 😡

"KIEFER—" 😱

He shook them off and walked forward. 😤🔥

Straight towards the Snorlax.

The Snorlax saw him coming. 😶

The Snorlax took one step back. 😶

Kiefer kept walking. 😤

"SHE."

He said when he was close enough.

His voice came out very quiet and very clear and very dangerous. 😤🔥 "Is MINE."

The Snorlax said nothing. 😶

Probably because there were no words. 😂💀

"You do not call her cute." 😤

"You do not ask her for hugs." 😤

"You do not wave at her." 😤

"And you absolutely do not—" 😡🤬

"Kiefer."

He stopped.

Jay was standing right there. 😶

Aries and Percy had finally successfully extracted her from the situation and she was standing between them looking at Kiefer with those eyes. 👀

Those eyes.

"Kiefer." She said again very softly. 🥺

And then she did it.

The puppy eyes. 🥺👁️👁️

Full power. Complete devastation. Those eyes that made everything in his chest go completely quiet against his will. 🥺

"Please don't punch the Snorlax." 🥺😭

She said very quietly.

Kiefer looked at her.

Then at the Snorlax.

Then back at Jay.

"Jay—" 😤

"Please." 🥺 She said again. Still those eyes.

Still that voice. Still completely and utterly devastating. 🥺😭

The fist that had been forming at his side very slowly unclenched. 😤

He exhaled.🙄😮‍💨

"..." 😤

"Fine." 😤

He said it like it cost him something.

Because it did. 😤

From behind him he heard the entire Section E exhale simultaneously. 😂💀

"I thought he was going to punch a Snorlax."

Eren whispered still filming. 📱😂

"He almost punched a Snorlax." Blaster whispered back. 😂💀

"Nobody would have believed us without the video." Eren said. 📱😂

"Nobody is going to believe us WITH the video." Felix said. 💀😂

Yuri stood slightly apart from everyone saying nothing. 😶

Just looking at the Snorlax with that frozen expression. 🧊

The Snorlax — very wisely — had stopped waving. 😂💀

And had taken approximately four more steps backwards. 😂

Jay looked at Kiefer.

Kiefer looked at Jay.

"Ice cream."

He said simply handing her the cone. 🍦😤

Their fingers touched for exactly one second. 👀

Jay looked away immediately. 🍅

"...Thank you." She said very quietly. 🥺

Kiefer said nothing. 😏

But the corner of his mouth did something that was almost a smile. 😏🥺

From somewhere behind them Cin made that sound. 😂

The Snorlax had retreated. 😂

Quietly. Wisely. Several steps backwards and then around a corner and then presumably into a different dimension entirely where Kiefer Watson could not find him. 💀😂

Jay watched the Snorlax go.

With the most heartbroken expression anyone had ever seen on her face. 😭🥺

Like she had just lost something very important.

Like the world had personally wronged her.

Like—

Percy stepped forward. 😊

He crouched slightly to Jay's eye level with that warm easy smile and looked at her very gently. 😊

"Baby sister." He said softly. 😊

Jay looked at him. 😭

"Don't worry."

He said. "I will buy you a Snorlax.

How many ever you want. Any size. Big small giant — you name it I'll get it." 😊🥺

Jay's expression flickered slightly. 🥺

"BUT—" Percy's voice stayed warm but became very firm. 😊😤

"Don't you EVER do that again." 😤 "There was a literal man inside that costume baby sister." 😤

"A LITERAL man." 😤 "Who was LITERALLY flirting with you." 😤 "And you were standing there smiling at him like—" 😤

"IT WAS A SNORLAX—" Jay started. 😤

"IT WAS A MAN IN A SNORLAX COSTUME—" 😤

"SAME THING—" 😤

"IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE SAME THING JAY—" 😤

"KOKEY." 😡😮‍💨

Aries stepped forward. 😤

Everyone went slightly quiet. 😶

Aries looked at Jay with that expression — the older brother expression that was simultaneously furious and relieved and deeply deeply tired. 😤

"Can you PLEASE." He said very tightly. 😤

"Use your brain." 😤 "For ONE second." 😤 "There was a MAN." 😤 "Inside that costume." 😤 "And you were literally—" He gestured vaguely at the space where the Snorlax had been standing. 😤 "FALLING on him." 😤 "While he was flirting with you." 😤

"OPENLY." 😤 "In front of everyone." 😤 "Did you not NOTICE??" 😤

U re brain is literally filled with only with food no brain in it and flickered her head softly🤨🥺

Jay opened her mouth.

"HE WAS A SNORLAX ARIES—" 😤😭😣

"HE WAS NOT A SNORLAX JAY HE WAS A MAN—" 😤

"IN A SNORLAX COSTUME—" 😤😭

"THAT IS MY ENTIRE POINT—" 😤

From the side Section E started chiming in simultaneously. 😂

"Jay he was literally asking for more hugs—" Felix said shaking his head. 😤

"He called you cute THREE times—" Calix pointed out. 😤

"He WAVED at you—" Blaster added. 😤

"And you WAVED BACK—" Eren said still filming. 📱😤

"While being DRAGGED AWAY—" 😂 Eman added helpfully between bites of his ice cream. 🍦😂

"You literally looked back at him FOUR TIMES—" Drew said. 😤

"FIVE times." Blaster corrected. 😤

"I counted four—" Drew said.

"I have it on video."

Eren said. 📱 "It was five." 😂

Jay looked at all of them.

One by one.

Her expression shifted. 😶

The defensiveness faded. 😶

And then —

Her face crumpled. 😭

Not crying. Not quite. But that specific Jay expression that was SO CLOSE to crying that it was essentially the same thing. 😭🥺

The bottom lip. 😭

The eyes going slightly glassy. 😭🥺

The whole face doing that thing that said she was trying very hard not to look as upset as she felt. 🥺😥

The entire group went silent. 😶

Immediately. Completely. Like someone had pressed a mute button on the whole amusement park. 😶

Aries stopped talking. 😟

Percy stopped talking. 😶

Section E stopped talking. 😶

Everyone just — looked at Jay's face. 😶

And felt immediately terrible. 😶

"Jay—" Aries started his voice completely different now. 😶

"I just—" Jay said very quietly. 😭 "really liked the Snorlax." 😭🥺

Silence. 😶

The most guilty silence in the history of the amusement park. 😶💀

Then —

"Okay OKAY." Cin stepped forward immediately with his hands up and that expression he got when he had decided it was his personal mission to fix the emotional temperature of the room. 😊

He looked at Jay very seriously.

"Don't worry." He said solemnly. 😊

Jay looked at him. 😭

"I." Cin pointed at himself. "Will become a Snorlax." 😊

"For you." 😊

"If you want." 😊🥰

"I will find a costume." 😊

"I will stand in this park." 😊

"And you can hug me as many times as you want." 😊

😉☺

A beat of silence. 😶

Jay blinked. 😶

Then David stepped forward quietly. 🥺

"We would." He said simply with that small gentle smile. 🥺😊

"If it makes you feel better." 🥺

And that was when it happened.

Every single head in the group turned.

Slowly.

To look at David. 👀

Percy looked at David. 😤😮‍💨

Aries looked at David. 😤🤨

Yuri looked at David. 😤😠👿

Section E looked at David. 😶

And Kiefer —

Kiefer looked at David with an expression that could most accurately be described as: 😤🔥 🤬😡

Absolutely. Not. 😡

The combined weight of approximately six simultaneous glares landed on David at exactly the same moment. 😤😤😤😤😤😤

David felt it immediately. 😶

He looked around at all the faces looking at him.

"...I just meant—" He started quietly. 😶

"We know what you meant." Kiefer said very quietly. 😤😡

"I was just trying to—" 😶😥

"We know." Percy said pleasantly. 😏😤

"I only—" 😶

"David." Aries said simply. 😤

David closed his mouth. 🥺

Cin who had started this entire thing looked between David and the six people glaring at David and then very slowly took one small step away from David. 😂💀

"I feel like—" Cin said very quietly to Eren beside him. 😂

"Don't." Eren said still filming. 📱😂

"I was just going to say—" 😂

"Cin." 😤

Cin also closed his mouth. 💀😂

Jay looked at all of them.

At Cin's solemn Snorlax offer. 🥺

At David's glared-into-silence expression. 🥺

At everyone's guilty faces. 😶

At Kiefer standing slightly apart with that expression. 😤🥺

And slowly —

Very slowly —

The crumpled expression started to ease. 🥺

The bottom lip stopped doing that thing. 🥺

And something that was almost — almost — a smile started at the corner of her mouth. 🥺😊

"You would really become a Snorlax??" She said to Cin very quietly. 🥺

"I would find the biggest costume available." Cin said completely seriously. 😊🥰🤩

Jay looked at him.

"...You are so stupid." She said.😅

But she was smiling. 😊🥺😚

Cin pumped his fist. 🎉😂

And the entire group exhaled simultaneously. 😂💀

Kiefer looked at Jay's smile.

And looked away immediately before anyone could see his expression. 😏🥺😳

Jay's POV

Jay shifted slightly, the noise around her fading.

"I'll just go to the washroom and come," she said casually 🙂

"Yeah, okay." 👍

"Don't disappear." 😒

She rolled her eyes and walked away. 🚶‍♀️

At first, everything felt normal

Lights. Voices. Laughter. 🌃🎶

But the moment she stepped out of the washroom—

Something felt… wrong. 😶

A presence. 👤

Not seen.

Felt.

Jay slowed down. 🚶‍♀️⬇️

There was a shadow behind her. Dark. Close. Too close. 🌑

Her breath hitched 😰 as she turned back—

Nothing

Empty. 🚫👀

Her heartbeat started racing. 💓💓

Stop overthinking, she told herself.

Still… her steps got faster. 🚶‍♀️➡️🏃‍♀️

One step.

Two.

Three—

And then—

A sudden удар 💥

Pain shot through her head. 🤕

Her vision blurred instantly.

The world tilted. 🌍

Voices disappeared. 🔇

Her knees gave in.

And the last thing she saw—

The sky. 🌌

Dark. Spinning.

Then nothing. 🖤

Kiefer's POV

Kiefer frowned. 😐

Something wasn't right.

He looked around—

Cin laughing 😂

Percy eating 🍟

Aries arguing 😤

Useless.

"Where is Jay?" Kiefer cut in, voice sharp ⚡

They paused.

"She went to the washroom," Percy said casually. "Relax." 😌

Kiefer's jaw tightened. 😑

"It's been too long." ⏳

That shifted the mood.

Aries stopped. 😶

"…Yeah."

Percy frowned now. "Maybe she's just coming—" 🤷‍♂️

"No." Aries cut him off. ❌

"She doesn't take this long."

Silence. 😶‍🌫️

Real silence

The kind that feels wrong. 😰

Kiefer stood up immediately. 🚶‍♂️

"We're not waiting."

Now everyone was serious. 😠

No jokes.

No distractions.

Just tension. ⚠️

"Spread out," Kiefer ordered. 🧭

"Check everywhere."

They moved instantly. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

The group split.

Searching. 🔍

Because now—

Something was definitely wrong. 🚨

So, yeah sorry guys for uploading late I m busy actually I am also a studying I am studying for competitive exams so yeah.

Also tell me how was the chapter and alsos guys give me suggestions please I can see my views there a lot but no one is commenting except 1 or 2 pls comment give your suggestions. If u dont comment I feel like to stop writing the book 😭😥.

Well I m not blackmailing but telling my opinion it really hurts it's my first time writing and I literally don't know how to write and I also know it's not even good, because even I don't like what I am writing but still I m trying to improve.
