Chapter 414 - Mark of the Tailed Beast

Fumori Masaki curiously looked at the mark in his palm. He felt that the mark carried the aura of the Four-Tails chakra, but it seemed very inactive, like it was dormant. He could tell it was a type of jutsu, and while he wasn't entirely clear on the specifics, he could vaguely guess some of it.

"What is this?" Fumori Masaki asked.

"This is equivalent to a clone of me," the Four-Tails Son Goku replied. "In a sealed state, I can't give you too much chakra, and since you also need to show your sincerity, I'll give you this mark. This mark, like us in our nascent stage, will automatically absorb natural energy to produce chakra. However, because it's incomplete, the amount produced isn't much, and it can't become a true Tailed Beast. But for you to use for enlightenment, it should be no problem. The only thing is that it has a connection with me, and only with my consent will it spontaneously produce chakra."

"I see." Fumori Masaki nodded, indicating he understood. "So, after you've seen my sincerity, you'll allow this mark to start producing chakra, right?"

"That's the idea." The Four-Tails Son Goku smiled. "Fumori Masaki, let me see what kind of society you will build."

"Just wait and see." Fumori Masaki nodded at the Four-Tails Son Goku, then looked at the mark and said, "By the way, can this mark be used as a medium for communication?"

"It can. Since it's my chakra, there's an inherent connection. As long as there aren't any special barriers or seals blocking it, long-distance communication is possible," the Four-Tails Son Goku said.

"Then you might even be able to meet your old friends. I wonder if your relationship with the other Tailed Beasts is good?" Fumori Masaki said.

At these words, the Four-Tails Son Goku was a little surprised. It thought for a moment and then understood, saying, "You brat, you want to ask other Jinchuriki for Tailed Beast chakra?"

"Just an idea. Your chakra alone might be too singular. Adding some comparisons might make it easier to find commonalities," Fumori Masaki said.

"Tsk. Anyway, I've already given you the mark. Whether the other guys give you theirs is up to your skill, and I can't say much. But speaking of which, I really haven't seen those guys in a while. I wonder how they're doing now. Hmph, they probably aren't doing well," the Four-Tails Son Goku said.

"I'll find a way to get it for you. I don't know about the other Jinchuriki, but I can confirm that the Nine-Tails and One-Tail are doing well. Their Jinchuriki are good people," Fumori Masaki said.

There was no need to mention Bunpuku, the One-Tail's Jinchuriki.

He was even called a person of the same quality as the Sage of Six Paths by Shukaku himself. Bunpuku, who always adhered to his beliefs, never treated Shukaku as an anomaly, but as his friend, and certainly wouldn't mistreat Shukaku in daily life.

And in Konoha, Kushina, following Mito's dying advice, learned to get along with the Nine-Tails. Fumori Masaki also taught her some methods. Compared to the Kushina in the normal timeline who only saw herself as a restraint for the Nine-Tails, the current Kushina was already trying to befriend the Nine-Tails.

If everything goes smoothly in the future, with Kushina's aptitude, she might even achieve a perfect Jinchuriki state, becoming one with the Nine-Tails, and Naruto's Tailed Beast Mode would appear on Kushina.

"Those two guys, Shukaku is a boisterous one, and Kurama is an arrogant one. To be honest, I really don't want to meet them. But, I've been bored for so long, so one is better than none. If you can get those two to come over, I'd be grateful to you," although it complained, the Four-Tails Son Goku still hoped Fumori Masaki could bring the chakra of those two Tailed Beasts.

"I understand. You'll definitely see them. Although I'd like to chat with you more, now is not the time. After the war ends, you'll see my sincerity. Oh, before that, you should also try to understand your Jinchuriki better. If you're always blocked in the mental world, you won't be able to see the outside," Fumori Masaki reminded.

"Hmm, I remember his name is Rōshi, right? I'll try talking to him." In the past, the Four-Tails Son Goku didn't really know Rōshi well and had to recall his name, but now it intended to confide in Rōshi.

As Fumori Masaki said, both Tailed Beasts and Jinchuriki were unfortunate. They should have warmed each other, but instead, they were alienated, which only made them feel colder.

"I hope the day I acknowledge you isn't too far off. I also want to chat with you," the Four-Tails Son Goku said to Fumori Masaki before he left.

"Hmm." Fumori Masaki glanced at the Four-Tails Son Goku, looking at the massive, awe-inspiring Tailed Beast, which in some ways also seemed very vulnerable. Seeing it alone in the mental space made him feel a desire to advocate for the care of Tailed Beasts.

"Oh, and don't let those Uchiha brats come again. Their eyes are too unsettling. It's been like that since their ancestors," the Four-Tails Son Goku suddenly remembered something and shouted to Fumori Masaki, who hadn't left yet.

Fumori Masaki paused slightly, then nodded with a chuckle. The power of the Mangekyo Sharingan was indeed very coercive, and it must have been uncomfortable for Tailed Beasts.

"Next time, we'll meet in my own mental space. Goodbye, Son Goku." Fumori Masaki waved his hand, and his figure slowly disappeared from the mental space.

"Goodbye, Fumori Masaki." Only after Fumori Masaki's figure had completely vanished did the Four-Tails Son Goku slowly utter these words.

The time in the mental world and the real world was not entirely synchronized. Although Fumori Masaki spent a considerable amount of time in the mental space, not much time had passed in reality. After he left the connected mental space, Fumori Masaki took a deep breath, opened his eyes, and first looked at his palm. A faint golden-red mark was there, and the power of the Four-Tails Son Goku had already entered his body.

"You've worked hard, Ken-kun. How's your body?" Fumori Masaki turned to Uchiha Ken, who was beside him, asking about his physical condition, as the Mangekyo Sharingan put a great strain on the body.

"No major issues, Hokage-sama." Uchiha Ken deactivated his Mangekyo Sharingan, feeling a significant mental burden. His Mangekyo Sharingan was not of the genjutsu type. Although he didn't need to use genjutsu of the Tsukuyomi level on Rōshi and the Tailed Beast, it was still a considerable pressure for him.

"Go get some good rest later and take some nutritional supplements. You should choose when to use it in the future. I imagine you've learned some knowledge about the Mangekyo Sharingan from Kagami," Fumori Masaki thought for a moment and said.

Uchiha Ken himself knew that if the Mangekyo Sharingan was overused, its power would be sealed, manifesting as a loss of light. Not to mention the power of the Sharingan, even normal eyesight would be completely lost. The price of the Mangekyo Sharingan was evident.

Fumori Masaki's concern for Uchiha Ken's physical condition, telling him not to easily use the Mangekyo Sharingan, touched Uchiha Ken deeply.

Fumori Masaki couldn't be unaware of the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan. If Uchiha Ken repeated his performance from the War in the Land of Rivers several times, he could definitely achieve a large number of merits, but the lifespan of his Mangekyo Sharingan would also rapidly shorten, and his physical health might also deteriorate.

Indeed, the Third Hokage always cared about his subordinates. Many of the ninja welfare benefits in Konoha had originally been established under the leadership of this Hokage-sama.

Moreover, after this incident, Uchiha Ken had a deeper understanding of Fumori Masaki's power. Although he had no intention of eavesdropping, the defenses Fumori Masaki built in the mental world made him feel somewhat tricky. It was incredible that someone not specializing in mental jutsus possessed such powerful mental abilities.

Uchiha Ken, of course, wouldn't know that Fumori Masaki's Sage Realm primarily came from the mental aspect, unlike the traditional Sage Mode which originated from the physical body. Later, through multiple insights into spiritual cultivation, Fumori Masaki's mental resilience became extraordinary.

Fumori Masaki and Uchiha Ken both knew, but others didn't know the price of the Mangekyo Sharingan. When Uchiha Ken revealed his Mangekyo Sharingan, even if it wasn't directed at them, the people around him could still feel immense pressure. The originally scarlet Sharingan already gave people an ominous feeling, and the Mangekyo Sharingan was even more so.

Mizuki, who also possessed the Sharingan, could feel the power contained within those eyes. It was a power far greater than that of ordinary Sharingan. If she could also possess this power, she thought, she would be able to protect more people.

Mizuki glanced at Asuna beside her, thinking, "If I had possessed the power of the Sharingan earlier, Asuna wouldn't have been in a life-threatening situation from using that secret technique."

That time, Asuna narrowly survived, and Mizuki awakened her Sharingan as a result. But it also made Mizuki realize that she needed to become even stronger. However, the Mangekyo Sharingan was a legendary realm, and there was no clear explanation within the Uchiha clan on how to advance to the Mangekyo Sharingan. Otherwise, after Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Izuna, no one had possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan until now.

However, from what Uncle Kazemori said, the Mangekyo Sharingan seemed to have some special secrets, Mizuki thought to herself. She also remembered that Uchiha Ken was going to get some nutritional supplements later. Could it be that the Mangekyo Sharingan had a particularly great impact on the body?

At this moment, Rōshi also came to his senses. His mind had been imprisoned by the Mangekyo Sharingan, unable to hear any voices. He only felt a moment of daze before waking up, but Uchiha Ken's Mangekyo Sharingan still made him uncomfortable.

Because Uchiha Ken was not skilled in genjutsu, his methods of mental confinement were much more violent compared to the more flexible and mysterious Uchiha Kagami.

"What an unkind guy," Rōshi muttered.

"You've worked hard too, Rōshi. I think you can try talking to the Tailed Beast inside you during this time to pass the boring hours. I won't let you go back before the Hidden Stone Village truce," Fumori Masaki said.

Rōshi already knew that if the war didn't end, he definitely wouldn't be able to go back. He chose to accept this point, as long as Konoha didn't intend to extract the Tailed Beast from his body, threatening his life, nor did they intend to extract any secrets from him—in fact, there were no secrets to extract, he himself didn't know many secrets—then eating and drinking in Konoha's camp didn't seem so bad.

However, Rōshi frowned about when he would be able to return. Although one of their Jinchuriki had been captured, it was still uncertain whether Ōnoki would quickly surrender. He only hoped that the stubborn old man would realize soon that continuing the fight was meaningless.

The next day, when the Hidden Stone shinobi once again launched an attack, the contest between Ōnoki and Fumori Masaki also began. Since both of them were on this battlefield, they couldn't easily disengage. If either one was left unchecked, it would pose a huge threat to their respective forces.

This time, however, Fumori Masaki revealed to Ōnoki the news that Rōshi had come over to his side, and Ōnoki's expression immediately turned very unpleasant.

"What do you intend to do?" The battle between the two sides came to a temporary halt. Ōnoki floated in mid-air, pondered for a moment, and then spoke to Fumori Masaki.

"I only have one request: end the war. You also understand that continuing to fight is futile, right? Hope can no longer be placed on others. You just want to fight a beautiful battle and then have a dignified peace talk, but now a Jinchuriki is in our hands. I think it's better for everyone if you choose to stop the war sooner, if you don't want to lose another Jinchuriki," Fumori Masaki said.

Ōnoki understood that Fumori Masaki believed that the Hidden Stone Village had already lost one Jinchuriki, and the situation had become very unfavorable. Instead of gambling on a glorious battle, it would be better to stop the war sooner. If they lost another Jinchuriki, the Hidden Stone Village would have no bargaining chips left.

"Allow me to consider it," Ōnoki said in a deep voice. "...What terms can you offer?"

"The truce treaty is a matter for the ninja villages, not something one or two people can decide. I can only tell you now that both the Jinchuriki and the Tailed Beast are fine. We can return them to the Hidden Stone Village, of course, at some cost, such as compensation," Fumori Masaki said without changing his expression.

Ōnoki stared intently at Fumori Masaki, then snorted coldly and floated backward. Fumori Masaki did not pursue him.

Under the unspoken agreement of the leaders of the two great ninja villages, today's battle ceased in a short amount of time.
