Chapter 415 The stubborn Minister of Magic just doesn't believe this evil
The Principal's office.
Dumbledore arranged for everyone else to sit down, while he sat behind his desk.
Fawkes shivered when he saw Abbe, feeling completely uncomfortable.
He immediately flew down from his perch and landed in front of Dumbledore, only then did he feel a little sense of security.
"Miss Klein, can you keep an eye on Gaius's pet?" Dumbledore said with a hint of helplessness, "He has caused quite a bit of trauma to Fawkes."
"Abbe is very well-behaved." Adrian stroked Abbe's back, and he nodded cooperatively.
"Harry, what exactly happened?" Lupin couldn't help but ask.
"Wait a moment, let's talk when everyone is here." Dumbledore said, "Harry is not in a good state, he needs companionship."
As soon as he finished speaking, a large black dog walked out from the corner.
He warily glanced at Adrian, then slowly walked to Harry's side, his eyes full of human-like concern and worry.
"It's nothing, I'm fine." Harry said with difficulty.
Lupin poured Harry a cup of warm water and whispered, "Get some rest now!"
Harry drank it all in one gulp, leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
When he opened his eyes, he met Professor Snape's icy gaze and immediately shivered.
"Harry." Fudge said with a forced cheerful smile, "Dumbledore said you had something to tell us?"
"Harry, you know the seriousness of the matter." Dumbledore said, "Tell us everything you know, without any concealment."
Harry took a deep breath and recounted to everyone present what happened after they touched the Triwizard Tournament trophy.
Pettigrew and Barty Crouch Jr. teamed up to subdue them, Lord Voldemort revived using ancient Dark Arts, Death Eaters apparated…
"Wait, you said You-Know-Who has returned?" Fudge's face turned pale, then he forcibly suppressed the panic in his heart, "Don't joke, that's simply impossible."
"It's true." Harry said anxiously, "Barty Crouch Jr. was secretly brought out of Azkaban by Crouch, and Lord Voldemort learned of his existence and the news of the Triwizard Tournament from Bertha Jorkins.
He and Pettigrew rescued him and subdued Alastor Moody, using his hair to make Polyjuice Potion, the purpose of which was to capture me in the Triwizard Tournament."
Fudge kept nodding, and only after Harry finished speaking did he pat him on the shoulder, "Good imagination, Harry.
You might have been overly frightened, but it's alright, I believe Madam Pomfrey will provide you with enough sedatives."
"But sir…"
"Harry, get a good night's sleep, and you won't have such nightmares when you wake up." Fudge said, "The matter of Pettigrew is still shrouded in mystery, I won't comment on it.
But Barty Crouch Jr. has been dead for a long time, he cannot be resurrected to help You-Know-Who rise again."
"Alastor Moody can prove it, he knows Barty Crouch Jr." Dumbledore said faintly.
Fudge blinked, his brows furrowed slightly, but soon relaxed again.
"Alastor was under Imperio, a long-term Imperio.
And his mental state was already not very good; some even say he is an insane murderer, always suffering from persecution paranoia." Fudge's face showed a strange smile, "Dumbledore… you wouldn't really completely believe a child's words, would you?"
"Of course I believe Harry." Lupin immediately said.
"Mind your place, Lupin." Fudge said impatiently, "The reason you can stand here is because Miss Klein of the Klein family vouched for you.
With all due respect, I find what a Werewolf believes to be somewhat false."
A moment of silence, Sirius let out a bark, showing his sharp fangs to Fudge.
"I also believe Harry." Dumbledore sighed, "At least it explains everything that has happened since Bertha Jorkinsdisappeared last summer."
"Alright, alright, then where's the evidence?" Fudge glanced at Harry Potter, "So far it's just a child's word.
Alastor has mental issues, his testimony has very low credibility, and as for Barty and Sirius, there's no need to mention them, they are considered dead by most people."
"I saw Lord Voldemort return with my own eyes, and my scar is still throbbing." Harry said angrily, realizing he seemed to have misjudged the Minister for Magic.
Previously, Fudge seemed a bit arrogant and conceited in his eyes, but essentially he was kind, always appearing amiable to everyone.
But now he actually refused to believe in Lord Voldemort's resurrection. This was too self-deceptive. Didn't he know what the Dark Lord's reappearance meant for the magicworld?
"Sorry, kid." Fudge said very stubbornly, "I've never heard of a scar acting like an alarm bell."
"I also saw Death Eaters, I can clearly recite their names.
Lucius Malfoy."
"Absurd, Malfoy was acquitted long ago.
Malfoy is an ancient Wizard family, always generously donating to good causes." Fudge said with a displeased expression; his relationship with Malfoy was quite close.
If he were a Death Eater, could his position as Minister for Magic still be secure?
"And Macnair." Harry continued to name them.
"He was also acquitted and is currently working at the Ministry of Magic."
"Crabbe, Goyle, Avery…"
"Enough, Harry Potter." Fudge said angrily, "All these people you mentioned were judged not to be Death Eaters thirteen years ago.
And as far as I know, your relationship with Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle is very bad. Macnair was Buckbeak's, that is, the Hippogriff's executioner, you certainly don't like him either.
But even if you have a personal grudge, you can't go too far! Slandering them as Death Eaters will have a very bad impact on their reputation and current lives."
Woof!
Sirius growled and lunged, he couldn't take it anymore.
But before he could act, Lupin hugged him tightly, "The Minister for Magic cannot be attacked in the HogwartsPrincipal's office!"
Sirius calmed down, but still bared his teeth at Fudge.
Fudge swallowed, "All in all, in my opinion, You-Know-Who's resurrection is nonsense.
You are determined to create a panic and destroy everything we have painstakingly built over these thirteen years."
"You fool!" Professor McGonagall shouted loudly, "Bertha Jorkins and Barty Crouch Jr. are both dead, doesn't that explain the problem?"
"My dear lady." Fudge's face turned crimson, "You need to be more precise in your words, they are merely missing, and the Ministry of Magic is working tirelessly to find them."
Hearing this, everyone was speechless, not expecting Fudgeto be so stubborn.
"Um… may I interject?" Adrian said indifferently, then looked at Harry Potter, "Assuming what you said is true, Lord Voldemort has returned."
"What I said is true." Harry emphasized.
"Alright! Then what happened after Lord Voldemort's resurrection?
Why were you able to return safely with the Portkey, and what happened to the others?"
Fudge seemed to have caught the key point, and immediately took the lead, asking with a serious expression, "Yes, where are the others?
This is very suspicious, Harry Potter."
"Minister Fudge." Adrian said meaningfully, "Can you let Mr. Potter finish speaking first?"
"Of, of course." Fudge said grudgingly, his momentum three points weaker than before.
Harry pursed his lips and continued to recount what happened next.
Aaron single-handedly defeated one-third of the Death Eaters, delaying time until Gines and the others arrived, and his gamble with Lord Voldemort using the Moon's Tear were all explained in great detail.
Including Gines's true strength, Aaron's Apparition, the Holy Dragon Patronus, the ultimate magic array, and the magic firearms, nothing was hidden.
Dumbledore and the others looked at each other, all somewhat incredulous.
They all knew Aaron's magical talent, but what Harrydescribed was simply too unbelievable.
Adrian, however, subtly curved her lips, revealing an 'as expected' smile.
Her younger brother had only revealed a fraction of his strength in the Triwizard Tournament, almost deceiving even her, but he absolutely didn't expect an accident to expose him.
Abbe was overjoyed, proudly raising his haughty dragon head.
The Holy Dragon Patronus, who else could it be but him, who else would dare to be it?
"This is too crazy, Dumbledore." Fudge showed a strange smile, "Harry Potter is one hundred percent under a curse, he saw hallucinations."
"It's true."
"No one will believe this is true." Fudge said self-righteously, "You say Mr. Gines is a High-level Archmage, I can reluctantly believe that, after all, the Gaius family can indeed afford such a Wizard.
But Aaron is only a fifteen-year-old student, how could he possibly defeat so many Dark Wizards? This is too absurd."
"Perhaps it is true?" Dumbledore stood up, his eyes shining, "Aaron has excellent talent, a fifteen-year-old might not be unable to do these things."
"Dumbledore, you are widely recognized as the most talented Wizard of this century.
I ask you, could you Apparate when you were fifteen? Could you defeat a dozen powerful Dark Wizards? Could you have two Patronuses? Or could you set up a defensive barrier that could block dozens of Dark Wizards?"
"This…" Dumbledore was speechless, then turned to look at Adrian, who was sitting beside him, "Miss Klein, you know Aaron best, what do you think?"
"Of course I'm sitting and watching." Adrian said casually, "Whether Harry Potter's words are true or false will only be clear when the others return.
However, if I were Harry Potter, I would definitely hide some of the truth, or simplify the course of the battle, at least not mention Apparition, the magic array, and the Patronus.
After all, these are secrets Aaron doesn't want others to know, right?"
Harry Potter: …
