Chapter 371 - Unnamed

Chapter 371: Fighting against the Dragon's Magic, Everyone Standing Here is Trash

Boom!

Fierce flames surged in all directions, and the immense impact made the entire enclosure tremble slightly.

Fleur Delacour, who was grappling with a Welsh Green Dragon in Zone 2, saw Aaron engulfed by flames and nearly dropped her wand.

What's going on? Is the nepotism over just like that?

She felt a mix of emotions, even forgetting about her own opponent.

After all, in her opinion, if it weren't for him trying to distract the Swedish Short-Snout, he might not have died.

The enclosure instantly fell silent, and all the spectators turned pale with shock at the power of the combined Dragon fire.

As for Aaron, who was directly hit, they didn't dare to think about it; no one could survive such terrifying flames.

"He cast a Shield Charm on himself," Bagman's voice trembled. "Maybe he'll live!"

"Don't delude yourself," Karkaroff, for once not gloating, said in a deep voice. "How strong can a fourth-year Wizard's Shield Charm be? It definitely can't withstand the Dragonfire spewed by three Dragons working together."

"Miss Klein..." Dumbledore hesitated.

"Shhh!" Adrian made a shushing gesture, then looked with interest at the center of the flames.

A figure stood motionless in place, as if the flames engulfing him had no effect at all.

"This is impossible," Barty Crouch muttered in astonishment. "Even an iron man would have melted into liquid iron."

"I knew it," Adrian said with a knowing smile. "With his ability, he could have completely avoided it before the Dragon fire fell, but he made no move, which means he has a way to defend himself."

"Mr. Gaius is alive, this is incredible!" Bagman shouted loudly, and the audience looked at the arena in disbelief, followed by a huge cheer.

"I knew he'd be fine!" Draco gesticulated excitedly. "Slytherinwill win!"

Professor Snape slowly sat back down, tucking his newly drawn wand back into his pocket.

Hermione quietly wiped away a tear and continued watching the match as if nothing had happened.

"A Dragon's lungs can breathe fire, a Dragon's scales can dissolve fire, and a Dragon's claws can envelop fire." Aaron, bathing in the Dragon fire, couldn't help but stretch.

The Dragon fire didn't cause him any harm, but the immense impact still caused him some trouble.

It was only because his physical fitness had been raised to the peak of human ability; otherwise, he might not have been able to withstand it.

Aaron walked out of the flames, appearing unharmed in everyone's sight.

"You... how did you do that?" Fleur asked in astonishment.

"Instead of worrying about that, why don't you worry about the Welsh Green Dragon behind you first!"

"Huh?"

Before Fleur could react, a Dragon claw swept over, knocking her several meters away.

However, the Shield Charm on her body worked, preventing her from being harmed, though she looked a bit disheveled.

"Miss Delacour, could you please hurry up?

If it weren't for me promising my sister to be the last to complete the task, I wouldn't be in such a miserable state right now."

Fleur was about to speak when she saw the Swedish Short-Snout open its maw and pounce on Aaron.

"Be careful."

Aaron shrugged, clenched his right fist, and swung it forcefully the moment the Short-Snout bit him.

"Dragon's Iron Fist."

Bang!

With a dull thud, the Short-Snout's face twisted to the right, and it let out an uncontrolled, pained shriek.

A right hook made it doubt its Dragon life; the punch felt incredibly heavy, exactly like a fellow Dragon's punch, definitely not something a human could deliver.

Aaron, however, unconsciously clenched his fist and stretched his fingers.

This was his first time fighting a Dragon with Dragon Slayer magic, and it felt... not bad.

Although exposing Dragon Slayer magic was out of necessity, who told these three Dragons not to listen to reason!

Roar!

The Hungarian Horntail and the Swedish Short-Snout roared simultaneously, spitting Dragon fire downwards.

Aaron also took a deep breath, flames overflowing from the corners of his mouth, and a red magic circle engraved with a Dragon pattern flashed before him.

"Dragon's Roar."

Scarlet flames erupted from his mouth, colliding with the two streams of Dragon fire in mid-air, and the scarlet fiery shockwave painted the arena sky a crimson hue.

This round of confrontation seemed to be a draw, but Aaron knew that a wide-area roar consumed over ten percent of his magic power, meaning that if he kept this up, he would soon be like a fish on a chopping board.

The spectators present were dumbfounded, many dropping their jaws.

This was not a Fire-Making Charm; magic that could contend with Dragon's Breath was actually mastered by a fourth-year Wizard.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Adrian smiled and clapped, "The meaning of the first task has been realized. What very peculiar magic, I'm afraid Uncle Jienes wouldn't even know about it."

"What kind of magic is this?" Dumbledore asked curiously. He had truly never heard of spitting out flames more terrifying than Dragon fire without a wand.

"How would I know? But I guess it should be magicspecifically used to fight Dragons," Adrian said thoughtfully. "It seems he learned it during his travels, even keeping it from me, his older sister."

"Travels?" Karkaroff asked tentatively. "What travels?"

Karkaroff gave an awkward laugh and asked no more questions.

"Delacour, don't just stand there watching!

This kind of magic consumes a lot of magic power; I can't hold on for long. You'd best get the Golden Egg before I give out."

Aaron said very directly, "Let me be clear, I will get my Golden Egg before my magic runs out, and then you'll be on your own."

"Understood." Fleur looked at the Welsh Green Dragon, which disdained her, and involuntarily tightened her grip on her wand.

Although she appeared strong on the surface, she didn't have much confidence in her heart.

Her Veela bloodline gave her a certain talent for enchantment, but the premise for using this magic was not to be disturbed, and now the arena was comparable to a battlefield, making it incredibly difficult to meet this condition.

"I need a sufficiently quiet environment," Fleur said abruptly.

"Then you can just cast a Silencing Charm. Don't tell me you don't even know that spell?"

"I mean, don't let the other Dragons disturb me, understand?"

"Hey, hey, hey!

Watch your tone; you're asking me for a favor right now."

Fleur's expression changed slightly, and she gritted her teeth, saying, "Please."

"That's more like it."

Aaron said indifferently, then attracted the attention of the three Dragons, keeping them as far away from Zone 2 as possible.

However, while he had lured away the Chinese Fireball and the Hungarian Horntail, the Swedish Short-Snout was still hesitating between him and Fleur.

Seeing this, Aaron decisively raised his middle finger and uttered an obscure sound.

A simple, utterly simple syllable, yet it enraged the three Dragons—no, four Dragons, to be precise. Even the Welsh Green Dragon was provoked, roaring and charging towards Aaron. However, halfway through its charge, a pale blue barrier rose at the edge of Zone 2, blocking it.

"What did you do?" Fleur asked angrily. She was about to cast a Silencing Charm when the Welsh Green Dragon went wild, scaring her into immobility.

"Nothing much," Aaron said, conjuring a sword and shield while dodging the attacks of the three adult Dragons. "I just used Dragon language to say, 'Everyone standing here is trash.'

It's a good thing the Australian Opaleye was lying down, otherwise I'd probably have one more enemy."

Fleur:... "What a lunatic."

"Heh heh!" Aaron snorted disdainfully. "If I were you, I would have gotten that Dragon Egg just now."

Fleur froze for a moment, looking at the Welsh Green Dragon, which was anxiously returning to guard its DragonEgg, and several clear black lines appeared on her face.

Whoosh!

Taking a deep breath, Fleur waved her wand, cast a sound-isolating charm near the Welsh Green Dragon, and then used a sleeping enchantment at the fastest speed she ever had.

Compared to her, Aaron's situation was much more exciting.

The three adult Dragons seemed to realize that Dragon fire wasn't doing much to him, so they simply attacked with their powerful bodies.

Aaron was barely holding them off using only Transfiguration and his extremely high physical fitness, not resorting to Dragon Slayer magic unless absolutely necessary, as it consumed too much magic.

Seven or eight minutes later, Bagman's excited voice came from the judges' stand: "Miss Delacour has the Golden Egg! The fourth champion has successfully completed the task!"

The audience cheered enthusiastically for her. Although Aaron had become the center of attention with his incredible fighting style, this didn't mean she hadn't put in effort.

Completing the task without injury, her performance was excellent compared to the previous three champions.

In Zone 2, Fleur, holding the Golden Egg, nearly burst into tears.

It was incredibly difficult. Originally, the three older Wizards were evenly matched, but this competition rule was simply too unfair.

First, the weakest, Harry Potter, got the Golden Egg using his flying skills, leaving the fiercest Hungarian Horntail on the field. Then Krum got the Golden Egg, leaving the Chinese Fireball, enraged by its eye injury, on the field. Finally, Cedric Diggory's Swedish Short-Snout... But the problem was that both the Fireball and the Short-Snout seemed to be targeting her, constantly interrupting her sleeping enchantment.

If it weren't for a mysterious, well-connected individual in the team constantly drawing aggro, she would have suspected she was being targeted.

On the judges' stand, Madame Maxime let out a heavy sigh of relief. Fleur's success in obtaining the Golden Egg under such circumstances had already proven her ability; she faced far more pressure than the first three champions.

"It's finally time," Aaron said, almost crying with excitement, and sprinted towards Zone 4.

Being ambushed by three Dragons was no joke, but now, as long as he got the Golden Egg guarded by the Australian Opaleye, everything would be over.

Being the last to clear it, with no major accidents, Adrian's sister's request would be met.

Crack!

At that moment, the magic barrier in Zone 2 lifted, and the Welsh Green Dragon seemed to sense something, slowly standing up.

It glanced at Fleur Delacour, who was holding the Golden Egg, then focused its attention on Aaron, who was sprinting rapidly.

The Welsh Green Dragon was the least troublesome of the Dragons, even actively avoiding humans, but Aaron's Dragon language earlier had truly enraged it.
