Chapter 7 - Episode 13

Akira's POV

Was it gruesome? Yes.

Did I hate my stay in a hospital room? Of course.

Would I ever stay there again?

That was the problem. I knew I would frequently visit the hospital with the plan I had mapped out in my head.

It was simple. Enter every fucking dungeon and slay any demon until I grew in strength.

I also needed to learn how to draw enough mana if I needed to summon Gleam in battle. Summoning her and allowing her to use her powers in a combat wasn't something I could do in my current state.

And as much as it hurts to admit, it was the plain truth.

"What are you wasting time for buy? Hurry up with that order!"

"Coming!!!"

Mum had something going on today so I was the one running our shop. It was a rush hour so I was finding it hard to keep up with the numerous orders.

I was up and running when I mistakenly slammed into a huge sturdy chest. The contents of the plates in my hand spilling. And it all ended up on the stranger in front of me.

I gulped as I mentally cursed myself. What have I done and why wasn't he even saying anything?

I raised my head and glanced at the stranger in front of me. Dark millet hair, caramel skin. The kind that wasn't too dark or too fair at the same time. A huge contrast to my pail skin and silver hair.

I was too stunned as I kept my gaze fixated on him. And he in turn was looking at me like I was some kind of foreign creature he had stumbled upon.

I brought my gaze down from his face to look at his jacked body only to witness the mess I had caused on his stellar white suit.

"Fuck I am so sorry. I was rushing and I didn't see and I ended up bumping into you and I…"

"Shit relax"

He slightly smiled as his deep voice sounded in my ear, reverberating within me.

"It's understandable seeing that this is a rush hour, do you however know where I can tidy up?"

"Of course, through that door, take a left and open the first door you see on your right. That's the male restroom"

"Okay then"

He snapped his fingers and one of the men with him quickly disappeared only to come back inside with a new set of suit ready.

He handed it to him and made his way to the restroom while I was greeted with the scowl and frowns of the people who had walked in with him earlier. People I hadn't even noticed as I was too stunned by his appearance.

"Hey errand boy, quit staring and come up here for work immediately"

"Coming"

I had only served two tables when the stranger from before walked in. Looking as prim and proper.

I slightly motioned my head to him to take a seat and wait for his order. The only thoughts in my head was me arguing with me on how dangerously handsome he was.

Which brought me to another conclusion. The Akira in this world was gay.

A concept I wasn't foreign to since I was gay back on Earth. And currently, the object my desire was the stranger, who for some reason wasn't heading to the table where his colleagues, I presume, are seated but instead was heading my way.

I must have slammed my head too hard on his chest that made me start hallucinating mid morning.

"Do you need any help? I'm a pretty fast learner?"

What the actual fuck!!!!

I looked at him once more, from head to toe. He looked like someone who was swimming in power and connections. And here he was, volunteering to help out in a food store.

I looked at his colleagues who had all gone pale as if he had committed some verbal blunder. It seemed like he was the superior one. Hence their reactions. And in turn the more reason why I should be scared of him.

"You don't need to worry. The rush hour is almost through. I can handle the rest on my own."

"What other tables are left?"

He ignored me completely as he picked up the apron hanging on the wall and put it on. Each move and step seemed precise and calculated. As if it was a regular thing for him.

And I wasn't going to lie, with his help everything went smoothly, I took the orders and prepared them and he did the serving.

Even when his colleagues offered to help, he shushed them and continued.

I wouldn't allow his actions get to my head though. I had enough work on my plate and I didn't need to add complicated theories to the mix.

But as I looked at him seriously serving the food, a harsh thought came into my head; maybe roach strangers aren't so bad.
