Jay's POV
I woke up to the soft morning light spilling through the curtains. When I turned, Keifer was still there, half-asleep beside me, one arm stretched across the bed. My heart skipped a beat.
I quietly got up to freshen myself up. A few minutes later, I came back wrapped in a towel, my hair still damp.
The second Keifer saw me, he smirked. "You really think you need to cover up?"
I frowned at him. "Gago."
(Jerk / idiot.)
He laughed softly, that low teasing laugh that always made me weak. "Ayan ka na naman."
(There you go again.)
"Shut up," I muttered, pulling the towel tighter around me even though I knew he was only teasing.
He sat up a little, his eyes fixed on me like I was the only person in the room. "You know you don't have to hide from me, right?"
My face warmed instantly. "Keifer—"
He smiled, looking way too pleased with himself. "What? I'm just saying."
"You're so full of yourself," I said, trying to sound annoyed, but it came out softer than I wanted.
He stepped closer, his hand settling on my waist, gentle but possessive. "You're mine, though," he said softly.
My breath caught.
"Keifer..."
He leaned in until his forehead touched mine. "What? I'm just reminding you."
Then he kissed me — slow at first, then deeper, like he had all the time in the world and no intention of letting me go. I held onto his shirt, and he smiled against my lips like he knew exactly what he was doing to me.
When he pulled away, he was still smiling. "Good morning."
I rolled my eyes, but I was smiling too. "You're so annoying."
He chuckled and pulled me closer for a second. "Yeah, but you like me anyway."
I looked at him for a moment, then sighed. "Unfortunately."
