"You're really going out there like that?" her males asked in alarm. None of them had expected her to suddenly decide to face the Ape King, especially when he was actively searching for her.
"I'm going out there to calm everyone down," Tessa replied with a shrug. "And also to tell that so-called king to fuck off."
The five of them exchanged uncertain glances.
Tessa tilted her head. "Relax. I'm safe. I know I'm carrying your future in my stomach, so I'm not stupid enough to throw myself into danger. Besides..." she smiled softly, "you'll all be with me the entire time, won't you?"
The question left them silent.
She didn't know what was running through their minds, but one thing was certain—remaining inside the house wasn't going to solve anything.
