By the time Isolde stepped out of the bathroom, her mind fully settled on her identity and her life, Cassius had already managed to regain consciousness.
Isolde arched an eyebrow at the sight of him: beads of sweat clustering around his eyebrows and lips, a large portion of the bed drenched by the same sweat.
"What happened?" She asked as she walked toward him, worry beginning to crawl inside her heart again, thinking something must have happened to him during his time alone.
A worry Cassius could clearly see, and it made him smile wryly. "Don't give me that look. You'll make me feel like a damsel in distress."
"Well, what's wrong with being a damsel in distress?" Isolde asked with a relaxed smile, seeing he was okay, then immediately corrected herself. "No, well, not just any damsel in distress. My damsel in distress instead."
She grinned. "What do you think? Tempting, right? I'll cuddle you."
