Dylan entered the hall for the first lecture of the day, and Nathan was already inside with a seat kept beside him. Emily was also there with him.
A small smile appeared on Dylan's face as soon as he saw them. Finally, something to take his mind off all the worries crowding it since morning.
"Why weren't you around yesterday? Are you alright?" Nathan asked immediately Dylan sat down.
"Yesterday was my birthday, so I stayed at home to celebrate. Actually, I wouldn't have because I didn't consider it anything important in particular, but my brother made sure it was celebrated."
Then Dylan grinned lightly and added teasingly, "So, did you miss me?"
Nathan and Emily looked equally surprised at his words.
"It was your birthday?" Emily asked.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Nathan added immediately after.
