Chapter 365 - 365

"That Kenneth is dead," Eddie said, controlling the helicopter as it lifted off, then took out his phone to film.

Since Uncle Kenneth was dead, he had to take good care of Aunt Anlra. This was another arduous task, truly worthy of being called Biohazard.

The propeller spun, and Sheva grabbed a sniper rifle and delivered a headshot to a pursuing Majini below.

These parasitized villagers had perfectly retained their intelligence; they could ride motorcycles and drive cars, and their weaponry had advanced to the point of using firearms, though their accuracy was still somewhat lacking.

If they had encountered Majini who were former mercenaries, Josh's team would absolutely not have survived until now.

The machine guns on the armed helicopter swept the area, and the motorcycle-riding Majini behind quickly fell, their motorcycles exploding after their fuel tanks were hit.

The mature, third-form, bat-shaped Plaga began to ascend, preparing to use swarm tactics to shoot down the helicopter.

Jessica's beautiful eyes widened, her vibrant red lips parted slightly, and an invisible infrasound wave was emitted.

All the flying parasites trembled, struggled briefly in the air, and then burst open, raining down as disgusting bloody water and minced flesh.

The characteristic fear of noise exhibited by the Las Plagas parasite still existed, and Jessica just happened to specialize in sonic attacks!

Chapter 579: Handsome, Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?

After their escape, the group met outside a small town.

Sheva walked over and asked, "Josh, did something happen to you?"

The kind-hearted Dark skinned man replied, "We encountered a new type of virus being used in those villages. After injection, the test subjects start to burn with flames, then turn into mud-like monsters that are not lethal."

Eddie lit a cigarette. "Do you have video footage?"

Josh handed over a disk. Samantha took the disk and began reading the data. It did indeed show the initial state of the Pupa Virus: the subject catches fire, secretes large amounts of fat, and finally forms a cocoon.

Inside the cocoon, the test subject continues to reorganize, and the insect genes contained within the Pupa Virus are incorporated into the human's own genetic sequence.

They might turn into a monster, or they might retain a human appearance while gaining the abilities of an insect.

But regardless of the outcome, they ultimately become a monster; the only difference is whether that monster is wearing human skin.

Eddie watched the experiment video, frowning slightly. "Send this footage to the local armed forces and have them deal with that village. If the local forces won't handle it, report it to headquarters and resolve it with missiles."

Josh disagreed slightly. "There might still be innocent villagers and victims inside. We should save the survivors first."

Eddie was unfazed. "The characteristic of the Plaga is infection, ensuring the continuation of the species. Even if they haven't been used as test subjects, they will become one of them. That place is overrun with monsters. Those humans you see are actually already controlled by the parasite. If you're unconvinced, you can take people and try."

These words laid out all the facts clearly and plainly. If someone truly couldn't understand, they were welcome to go die; he certainly wouldn't stop them.

Uncle Josh fell silent. He knew the person in front of him was an authority on virology, and suddenly asked, "What is your view on virus experiments?"

This question caused the BSAA team members who had narrowly escaped death to look at Eddie with wary eyes, acting as if they might open fire if his answer displeased them.

People who are still shaken are the most easily provoked.

Eddie smiled, flicking his cigarette ash. "Neither for nor against. Everything has its reason; existence is justification. Everyone hates excrement, so why does excrement exist?"

These words left the BSAA team members deep in thought about life, while Eddie embraced Sheva and departed.

Back at the town villa, Anlra was saddened after learning of Uncle Kenneth's death. Even though he was a eunuch, they had been husband and wife, and she already felt guilty toward Kenneth, so she immediately cried like a weeping willow.

"Jessica, wait for me here. I need to go back for a moment," Eddie instructed. Anlra naturally had her daughter Samantha and the newly joined Sheva to comfort her.

Jessica nodded. "Be quick. I will wait for you here."

Eddie nodded, went to a deserted area, and after a burst of electromagnetic flickering and a flash of blue light, he vanished, leaving behind only a strange rune mark on the ground.

The next second, he arrived at the established platform on the deserted island. The stones here were covered in scorch marks, seemingly the result of Eddie's teleportation.

Electromagnetic theory was very convenient, but it consumed a lot of energy and had many restrictions.

Alexia was constructing a massive new energy source next to the island. When she saw her husband appear, she merely glanced at him. "You're back?"

Her voice was quiet, but it accurately reached Eddie's ear.

"Mhm, I came back to drop something off. Do you have time? Want a cup of hot coffee?" Eddie said with a mischievous smile.

Alexia, wearing ten-centimeter high heels and expensive earrings, gently stroked her hair. "Sure, I'll wait for you in the usual spot." Having said that, she left behind an afterimage and quickly disappeared.

Carla took the volcanic ash and set the container aside, pulling Eddie into the room. Inside, Alexia was brewing five cups of steaming coffee. "You were really slow. Drink."

Five hours later, Sheva couldn't find Eddie in the villa.

Having no choice, she sought out Jessica, who was watching the computer on the sofa. "Jessica, where did Eddie go?"

"He probably went to recharge. He should be back by now, unless he ran into a few opponents." Jessica, who understood her master and husband well, continued watching the computer calmly.

A confused Sheva could only join Samantha in the kitchen to cook dinner. Just as dinner was ready, Eddie opened the room door.

Eddie held his lower back, which was a bit sore. It seemed he still needed improvement. "Dinner's ready? Then I won't be polite and will start eating."

Sheva looked at Eddie's movements with some confusion. "Did you throw out your back?"

"No, it's just a bit sore. It's nothing, a little rest will fix it. After we finish, we still need to find a few materials and continue excavating some volcanic ash." Eddie certainly wouldn't tell the truth.

Instead, his daughter Samantha was smiling brightly, not exposing her father. "Yes, he's very tired today. I'm going to check on Mom, you two eat slowly."

At a secluded boarding school within the Federation, Nikolai was conducting experimental tests using the enhanced Pupa Virus provided by Daniel.

Malicious attacks were occurring throughout the Federation, forcing the National Guard to enter cities to assist with defense and ensure there were no large-scale riots.

If this continued, work would become impossible. Once office workers lost their income, those without savings would collapse when facing mortgages and various expenses, leading them down a path of crime.

Meanwhile, at The Pentagon, Benford decided to revoke the reinstatement of the Blue Umbrella Corporation. At this critical juncture, this could easily lead to a collapse of institutional faith, and the Federation could not withstand such turmoil.

Simmons argued vehemently, "No, it cannot be revoked. This is the only way we can contend with the BSAA. The BSAA is now controlled by the European Union, and the East is uninvolved. This is a confrontation between us and the European Union."

"In the Eastern Slav Republic incident, we lost nearly seven thousand people. We must settle that score!"

"Do you want the citizens of the Federation to lose confidence in themselves? Every city is currently under the threat of terrorism. Only by casting aside the past can we move forward," Benford replied, rejecting the proposal.

"Has Your Excellency considered whether the tycoons and families supporting the Federation's economy agree with this?" Simmons could only resort to using the power of the families as a threat.

"Are you threatening me, Simmons?" Benford was somewhat enraged.

"Of course not, I am merely offering you a piece of advice." Simmons shook his head, as a crisis of trust emerged between him and the current highest leader.

Chapter 580: Helena's Sister, Deborah

Half a month later, Sheva was on temporary leave, and Josh was in charge of the work. The experienced Josh was Sheva's former mentor, so there was no need to worry about any accidents occurring.

The situation in West Africa was relatively good; even if biological weapons appeared, they were generally easy to deal with.
