Chapter 358 - 358

In the end, that ten percent still flowed into TerraSave, while Eddie, who held fifty percent of the profits, was responsible for making money here.

Ada also received a call; with a wave of her hand, like a queen, she crushed an attacking Tyrant into pieces with invisible pressure.

"Honey, the Federation will launch an assault in two hours," Ada whispered.

Eddie nodded. "Got it. Let's go—this place isn't safe."

Svetlana slung her sniper rifle over her shoulder and tossed it to a maid. "Gather everyone—we're heading to TerraSave's camp."

The maids here were all war orphans Svetlana had adopted; she had trained them meticulously, and they were women she could trust.

Empty the villa? Totally unnecessary—anything money can buy isn't worth much.

Eddie decisively led his people in retreat; on the way out he saw a black Thanatos Tyrant with its limiters released and giant claws beating down two equally unshackled Cursed Tyrants.

He had zero interest in these defective products. Once upon a time he might have been scared; now, a Tyrant was just a little brother.

Along the road, plenty of civilians were also fleeing; sadly, those carrying too much couldn't run fast and ended up dead.

The white-and-black duo of Carlos and Tyrell were actually on duty near the main road; spotting Eddie, they waved him through immediately.

"Move—this place is chaos," Carlos said.

"The messier, the more fun," Eddie replied, flooring the accelerator and speeding off.

The refugee camp lay outside town; inside the city, artillery thundered and citizens screamed—it was hell on earth.

When Eddie reached the camp, he actually saw Leon.

"Hey, Leon—seeing you here is never good news," Eddie said with a grin.

Leon frowned. "Don't talk to me—I'm under surveillance."

Chapter 570: Three Thousand Men, Gone in a Flash

The person in charge here was someone else; neither Cindy nor Claire came in person—they stayed at headquarters playing mahjong.

Inside the Eastern Slavic Parliament Building, Sergei watched Kaplando directing armed men to assault the regular army's front line and sneered, "This guy really isn't afraid to die."

Nikolai opened the office door. "The trap is set—just waiting for the Federal Agents to walk in."

Sergei gripped a blade. "Excellent—the motherland's revival is at hand. Nikolai, are you afraid of death?"

Nikolai raised his gun. "For the motherland, I go without hesitation."

"Send Ivan to hold back the Western Federation's beasts; when they arrive, deploy Talos and wipe them out in one go," Sergei ordered.

"Roger." Nikolai saluted and turned to leave.

Sergei gazed at the Slavic Map behind him and murmured, "Eddie, I hope you keep your word. Mr. Spencer, I've failed you—but you no longer need me."

While Eddie was still in the temporary villa sparring with Svetlana and Ada, a Western Federation force had already breached the Gulf War border and invaded Eastern Slavia.

They swept all before them, while the Federation's defense spokesman held a press conference: "We will not allow three thousand Federation citizens to die in vain. Eastern Slavia used bioweapons in its civil war with no regard for consequences. For future peace, the Western Federation will dismantle the current Eastern Slavic command and promote new elections."

The moment the conference ended, Federation troops launched their assault.

A Cursed Tyrant in mid-fight was split in two by a fighter's heavy-caliber machine gun; after the smoke cleared, only its skeleton remained.

The Thanatos Tyrant, unaffected and un-targeted, kept advancing on the Parliament Building under its cranial chip's control.

The Western Federation's surprise attack caught everyone off guard, yet Eastern Slavic leader Derek only sneered, "Pull back—I've got something special for these old friends."

Federation infantry, covered by air power, entered the city—only to find hordes of mindless Plaga-infected rushing them.

The ground troops had to shoot the monsters dead, all broadcast live under the headline: "Western Federation Slaughters Civilians of Small Nation!"

Despite the Plaga-infected interference—and citizens' heads bursting with parasites—

modern military firepower gave the bugs no chance to inflict casualties; at most, their saliva corroded a layer of steel plate—nothing more.

Eastern Slavic regular forces kept contracting their line, already pushed to the Parliament Building.

Armed fighter members, aided by Thanatos Tyrants and Lickers, also fought their way to the building's exterior, and battle erupted anew.

This time an Eastern Slavic soldier grinned and pressed a button; a massive explosion rocked the street—tons of explosives had been planted there long ago.

Even the Thanatos Tyrant couldn't escape; nearly ten tons of explosives hurled it sky-high.

An anti-air missile then struck it squarely, and the already-shattered Thanatos Tyrant finally seemed truly dead.

Just after the Western Federation jets flew past, a precise Stinger Missile hit one, anticipating the fighter's flight path—as if the plane had rammed the missile itself.

Boom! The fighter blossomed into flame; the pilot didn't even have time to eject.

The Western Federation's first dogfight in Eastern Slavia had begun. After the first jet was hit, the remaining flight of five all crashed into missiles in exactly the same way.

Every trajectory had been predicted—like seeing ghosts.

Six Talos Tyrants appeared, each shouldering three-meter-long cannons; their massive frames absorbed the recoil, letting shells strike fast-moving jets with pinpoint accuracy.

With these six steel beasts on the field, the Western Federation's infantry suffered devastation.

One after another, precise anti-tank rounds slammed into advancing tanks and IFVs; the soldiers inside had no time to react before meeting their maker.

In just half an hour, Nikolai's ambushes and snipers—together with the six Talos Tyrants—wiped out an entire infantry regiment of nearly three thousand men.

Modern firepower combined with top-tier bioweapons produced terrifying results.

When the Federation's defense spokesman saw this, he immediately ended the press conference—he couldn't bear to stay.

Simmons was equally stunned: three thousand Federation citizens gone just like that? With the previous three thousand, the death toll had reached six thousand!

Svetlana leaned against Eddie, beautiful eyes on the computer, a post-coital cigarette between her fingers. "Just as I thought—given the Russians' hatred of the Western Federation, it could never end so easily."

"Well, Sergei did surprise me a bit—but that's all." Eddie watched a missile streak from the nearest Federation silo.

One missile strike obliterated half the town, melting five Talos Tyrants in the inferno; before a missile, even steel-armored Tyrants must kneel.

Leon seemed to realize something—he finally understood why Kevin had been so down and out: their every move had been monitored.

Ada watched half the city destroyed, her face expressionless. "Honey, what's next—what's your move?"

"Sit back and enjoy the show—watch how the Western Federation gets driven out." Eddie took the cigarette Ada had just smoked.

The humiliated Federation commander dispatched two limiter-free Thanatos Tyrants to infiltrate the Parliament Building and slaughter everyone inside.

Three thousand dead was no small matter—someone had to answer for it. If the commander didn't want to die or face a court-martial, he'd better take that building.
