Chapter 340 - 340

William picked up the well-preserved chemical gun and injected himself with the enhanced G-Virus.

In an instant, a raging will filled his mind, yet his thoughts remained crystal clear.

Without hesitation, William began devouring his two clones, then went to find his daughter Sherry—he would kill her to keep her from being defiled by that beast Eddie.

Outside the North African port, the Marine Corps and BSAA personnel had already evacuated; no one was left. Missiles struck the harbor one after another, and the quarantined waters were flooded with disinfectant to stop the virus from spreading.

Disinfectant can't kill the virus, but it can slow its spread to a certain extent.

Then why not use disinfectant to detoxify the human body?

Good question—any student asking this, please consider: could you survive chugging a bottle of dichlorvos?

From the plane, Eddie could still see the explosions at the harbor. In the end, the monster mutated from Morpheus was only eliminated with missiles; the Uroboros Virus fears high temperatures—keep the area hot and the virus will die out naturally.

"It's all over!" Leon leaned wearily against the cargo bay wall of the aircraft; along the way, he had lost many people he knew.

"Not yet—William flew to Vienna and is now wreaking havoc in the city. We need to head there for support," Chris said.

Sheva belonged to the West Africa branch, so she stayed behind for clean-up and would assist TerraSave with local relief—depending on conditions—only after the biohazard was fully cleared.

Exhausted, Leon muttered, "It never ends—as long as bioweapons show up, we don't get a moment's rest."

At the Foreign-Trade University, monsters now roamed everywhere; large numbers of zombies shuffled through the campus.

These zombies ignored William, shambling past him to wander the area.

A short-haired, pretty young woman stood in the auditorium gripping a Samurai Edge; beside her stood the mature, sultry Annette.

This young woman was the daughter born when William and Annette were still husband and wife, both having neglected Sherry.

But after Annette was lured away by Eddie, Sherry's relationship with her mother improved.

The whole city plunged into chaos: large numbers of Raging Zombies—fast-moving—infected the area. Local agents and patrolmen couldn't hold out; without the Guard nearby, the city would have fallen.

Following his memories, William came to the auditorium—empty save for Sherry and Annette.

Seeing his daughter again, William's face twisted hideously. "Sherry!"

"William Birkin! I'll call you father one last time—why did you release the virus?" Sherry raised the Samurai Edge. Wearing high leather boots, jeans, a dual-purpose combat-camouflage jacket, and an exposed belt, she looked fresh and stylish.

William saw his daughter grown up; under G-Virus enhancement, the blood-bond tracking had become so strong he could recognize Sherry instantly.

"Why? Hmph—because of that bitch Annette, your mother! Where is that slut? Tell me and I'll kill her—the tramp dared to cuckold me!" William raved, flinging tables and chairs aside.

"Mother's fine, and she's not here. Go away—I don't want to kill you." Sherry lowered the Samurai Edge, sorrow flickering in her lovely eyes; she couldn't bring herself to slay her father.

William gave a furious laugh. "You unfilial girl—you still want to stay with that bitch's lover, don't you? Who's that garbage? Speak up and I'll kill him!"

Sherry regarded the monster that had been her father. "You're pitiful. I didn't want to believe it, but now I'm sure: my father is a murderer, a criminal, a super-criminal spreading viruses to wipe out humanity."

"Hmph, even if you won't tell, I'll find him. You'll inherit my power and multiply without end—heh-heh." William stepped toward Sherry, as if planning something obscene.

G-Virus transmission is peculiar: the virus must be cultured through a blood-relative host, akin to xenomorph parasitism—cruel and utterly repulsive.

In another room, three beautiful women were present—two young and lovely, one mature and intellectual.

Weren't these three women none other than Annette and her two daughters, Sherry and Chelsea?

What had been set up in the auditorium was a virtual-reality projection invented by Chelsea; it could achieve an effect utterly indistinguishable from reality.

William had obviously been fooled; his vision had been confused by scent, so the Sherry before him was nothing more than a wooden mannequin dressed in one of her coats.

William tried to parasitize her with his tentacles, only to discover the daughter in front of him was a block of wood—the real person had long since vanished!

Sherry lowered her head in sorrow. "Mom, I'm so sad. My own father turned out to be someone like this—I can't accept it."

Annette could only comfort her daughter. "He's no longer human; he's not your father. Sherry, will you blame Mom? It's my fault you ended up like this."

Sherry shook her head, beautiful eyes brimming with tears. "No, Mom is the best person to me. I just can't accept that my father is a madman who wants to destroy the world!"

Chelsea, however, was unmoved. She was Annette and Eddie's daughter and had nothing to do with William. "What's there to cry about? We're eating and drinking well. We came this time just to let you see William's ugly mask, so you can live your life in peace from now on!"

The words sounded harsh, yet Sherry was touched.

"Thank you, Chelsea!" Sherry said sincerely.

Chelsea waved her hand. "Cut it out. Just treat me to hamburgers later—every kind of hamburger!"

Sherry broke into a smile. "You really are exactly like Brother Eddie—you both love hamburgers!"

Annette felt blissful; her two daughters got along, sparing her headaches. The only one who still worried her was Sherry, and she didn't know what to do—she'd have to let Sherry solve it herself.

Chelsea took out a cigarette and lit it. Every gorgeous blonde smokes, and she was no exception. "Can we leave now? I don't want to stay here. Don't get soft-hearted; it could cause unpredictable trouble for us."

Sherry couldn't bear it, but could only nod and give up on rescuing her classmates. "I understand."

Annette rubbed Chelsea's head. "It's not that extreme. If it's convenient, we can still save them."

Chelsea rolled her eyes coquettishly. "Save them for what? We don't want to save men, and we won't. Save women to be my aunts? I'm not that stupid!"

The remark made Sherry and Annette exchange glances, speechless—Chelsea really dared to say anything.

"Chelsea, you're really rather blunt." Sherry was exasperated.

Chelsea blew a smoke ring. "Isn't it true?"

"What about that monster outside?" Sherry had already given up on William as her father; someone so insane didn't deserve the title and had never raised her.

"No need to kill him; he'll die within a day—thirty-six hours at most. Let's go." She had accurately deduced the effects of William's enhanced G-Virus.

This enhanced virus used the blood of Wesker's son, Jake.

Ms. Yaxi's blood also contained a special substance that could boost immune potency—why Jake's blood could immunize against the C-Virus. Ms. Yaxi herself lacked immunity, so she could still fall ill.

The three women left together; the moment they stepped out of the room, a wandering Licker pounced at them.

Sherry delivered a perfect spinning kick that snapped the Licker's head—clearly she had been enhanced, and not just a little.

Killing in one blow a Licker that could slay special-ops soldiers—this strength came from Annette.

William hadn't the slightest clue that the Sherry and Annette he sought had already gone, and he raged helplessly in the auditorium, wrecking everything.

His daughter gone, his wife taken away—thinking of William's life, it really was rather tragic.
