Chapter 335 - 335

The Type-2 Giant that could have slaughtered everyone was quickly brought down; with the right tactics targeting the monster's weak points, killing them wasn't hard at all.

Sophia's beautiful eyes sparkled with curiosity. Eddie could clearly rampage unhindered, yet he stayed hidden—she wondered what on earth the man was thinking.

After the giant fell, Piers returned and whispered to Sophia, "Sis, my brother-in-law's aim is deadly—when did you two start dating?"

Sophia blushed; she'd eloped without her family's consent. Her eyes twinkled as if a brilliant idea had struck. "Piers, you're my little brother, right?"

Piers nodded. "Sis, just say it—this reminds me of bad memories."

Sophia cleared her throat. "Help me pass the family's foreign-marriage council meeting and I'll get you the best Infrared, Electromagnetically-Boosted Sniper Rifle available."

Piers hesitated—until he heard "sniper rifle," then his eyes lit up. "The kind more powerful than a Rocket Launcher?"

"What else? Deal or not?" Sophia sniffed.

"Deal, deal—it's settled, Sis!" Piers nodded eagerly.

Eddie was collecting the Parasite Samples from the giant's back; the parasites were useful—they secreted a substance that let cells divide without losing function, including intelligence.

To advance the Immortality Project, he needed to culture more parasites and find their common factor.

How were they produced—and could they be transplanted so human cells generate the substance themselves?

Better to rely on yourself; if the body secretes it, the next level of immortality is achieved.

Only Jill and Hilda knew Eddie's plan; Jill backed her husband unconditionally, not even minding when he chatted with other girls.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown; men play the field—Jill had given Eddie a daughter and feared nothing.

Soon an explosion rang out; Krauser arrived with men. "Kill them all!"

The Majini this time were black mercenaries—still controlled, but with most memories and skills intact.

The mercenary Majini opened up with modern weapons; bullets flew and shells burst, pinning down the BSAA.

"Sheva, flank left with your team. I'll hold the front—everyone load grenades and give it back!" Chris barked into his radio, slamming a grenade into his launcher and firing.

Boom! The blast gave the BSAA a breather.

Eddie led Jill and the two other women to shelter behind a mine-hill—a blind spot no one could see.

A brawny Dark skinned man hefted a Gatling gun and sneered at Eddie. "Filthy outsider—die!"

Ratatat! Sophia almost dove away, but seeing Eddie unmoved and Jill amused, she stayed put.

Eddie raised a hand; the Gatling rounds froze inches from his face, unable to advance.

The hovering bullets still smoked and spun, yet went no farther.

In seconds thousands of rounds hung eerily before Eddie; with a flick of his wrist,

they whipped back, shredding the gunner and the parasites inside into confetti.

Eddie turned, tilted Sophia's chin, and teased, "Do you crave power—or eternal youth?"

Sophia flushed. "I want both!"

"Heh, then it depends on your performance," Eddie chuckled.

Sophia nodded. "I'll give you anything you want—and any intel that could harm you."

"That's what you should do. Make the call; I'll review your intel." Eddie handed her the phone.

Without hesitation Sophia dialed her trusted aide, telling her to open the laptop and launch a secret program.

"My assistant's a beauty too—called the Jade Beauty," Sophia hinted.

"Oh, I think Jill's beauty is enough," Eddie replied unmoved; honey-traps? He'd seen too many beauties.

Chapter 539: Side Effects of Plaga

Krauser stepped up, knife in hand. "Die, Eddie! You crossed Dr. William—think you can run?"

Shing! Krauser's left arm mutated; the stitched limb burst open, forming a unique Bone Blade.

Whoosh! The transformed Krauser gained huge boosts in strength and speed, still mostly human-shaped.

His combat boot slammed the ground; he shot forward like an arrow, the giant fan-shaped Bone Blade on his left arm slashing straight at Eddie.

Eddie sidestepped left, easily dodged, and punched Krauser's left arm, sending him flying.

The blow made the parasites inside Krauser tremble—as if even they felt fear.

Thud! Eddie pressed the attack, lifting Krauser by the throat. "Think you can beat me? A defective parasite is nothing!"

Bang! Krauser was blasted thirty meters into the air—right into the view of William's spy.

The spy didn't know how Krauser was launched, but from that height he'd be crippled if not dead.

A disk clattered to the ground; Eddie picked it up and scanned it with a micro-computer.

The data revealed coordinates and intel on another lab base.

The base lay in a distant Harbor full of Brandon's men, refitted into a military fortress.

In barren Africa, with a bold idea and enough power, you can become a Local Warlord—women included—if you can stand the hygiene.

Eddie kept browsing while Jill guarded her man and enjoyed the scenery.

Sophia fell into thought; her mind couldn't grasp such unscientific phenomena.

BSAA operatives kept fighting the Majini mercs—seasoned veterans who found humans easier targets than monsters.

Krauser crashed over a hundred meters away and lay motionless, half-dead.

Nearby, a man sporting Bujingyun-Style Hair waited on a motorcycle—Carlos, long unseen since Raccoon City.

After the Raccoon disaster Carlos and Captain Mikhail took mercenary jobs everywhere; this time he'd been sent to recruit a tough newcomer.

Carlos caught an ice-cold beer tossed his way. "So you're Krauser—just like the file says. Can that left arm shrink back?"

Krauser willed the parasite; his left arm retracted fully inside. "Thanks—give me five, then we roll."

"No prob. Say, been here long—ever hit a House Party? Hear the girls are easy." Carlos grinned.

Krauser snorted. "Try it yourself—I'm not interested."
