When she looked up at the sky again, it was the bluest sky she had ever seen. It felt so far away, yet the dragons flying around still seemed close. The day was beautiful, the weather perfect for being outside—but despite it all, why did she feel so sad?
She felt small under that vast sky, as if the world was too big and she was all alone.
Even as she lifted her face, tears threatened to fall at any second.
"Sa! Sa!" he called her name with his gentle, beautiful voice.
She smiled softly. "What is it, young master?" she signed, hugging him in her small embrace.
"-ad?" he signed back. "Sad."
