Chapter 8 - THE POWER PLAY

It's the next day after the whole unaliving cat incident just finished. Dorathy is still in mourning and she Misses MR Whiskers very much. Zendaya plans to spend the day with Catherina and her mom at different times, She takes a shower and goes downstairs to have breakfast in her bath robe, on reaching the dining area she sees MR Kingsley comforting Dorathy about the loss of her pet.

Zendaya didn't like the fact that he was talking to her so she interrupts them. " Good morning my Handsome husband" she says as she faces Kingsley. " Good morning Dear, how was your night". He replied with a smile he is definitely loving how his relationship with her is increasing for the better, they kissed yesterday he wonders what else would happen the thing he has desperately been waiting for to consumate his marriage with her.

Unlike other 'in love' and happy couples Kingsley and Zendaya doesn't have a sex life, but with Zendaya's sudden change of attitude they might have one. Dorathy engages in a conversation with Kingsley about the children, unfortunately for Zendaya they'll always have that in common. With Zendaya sitting and eating some fruit for breakfast her mind wonders to the guy who saved her, she didn't even know his name. She just can't stop thinking about him and she has no idea as to why.

MR Kingsley notices that Zendaya is only eating fruits and he gets concerned. " Is this all you're having for breakfast it's not a complete meal you're going to get hungry fast" he says . " Ohhhhhh Darling you see I don't eat much that's why I have just a snatched body". There was so much sarcasm in that statement as if she was throwing some shade at Dorathy. Zendaya leaves the dinning table to go get ready for her day.

In the bedroom Zendaya ponders on what to wear, few minutes later she stepped out in a daring mesh tube gown, scandalously short, the sheer fabric clinging to her body like a second skin. Beneath it, just enough was revealed to tease the eye every curve outlined with intention, every movement drawing attention. The dress rode high on her thighs, leaving her legs long, smooth, and impossible to ignore, while the strapless cut exposed her shoulders and collarbone, giving her an effortlessly seductive presence.

On her feet, she wore sleek Chanel heels, their polished finish catching the light with every confident step. The heels elongated her frame, adding a graceful sway to her walk. In her hand rested a matching Chanel handbag, small yet undeniably expensive, swinging lightly at her side like a symbol of quiet luxury and power.

Her hair was styled in a bouncy SDD wig, full and voluminous, each strand soft, glossy, and perfectly laid. It framed her face beautifully, moving with a life of its own whenever she turned her head. The bounce added a playful contrast to the boldness of her outfit, softening her look just enough to make it irresistible.

To complete the ensemble, her jewelry shimmered in perfect harmony with her shoes, every piece carefully chosen. Her earrings sparkled as they brushed against her neck, her necklace rested delicately against her skin, and her bracelets glinted with every subtle movement of her hand. The matching tones tied everything together, creating a look that was not just stylish, but intentional, commanding, and impossible to forget. She looked breathtaking.

Kingsley had already gone to Work but Dorathy was at home having a conversation with Agatha in the Living room when Zendaya easedropped on their conversation, "I'm telling you, living under the same roof with Zendaya is starting to feel like a punishment."

Her sister, who had been scrolling through her phone, looked up immediately, sensing the tension. "That bad?" she asked, sitting up a little straighter.

Dorathy let out a long, frustrated sigh. "Worse. It's her attitude. I don't even know who she thinks she is anymore."

Her sister tilted her head. "What happened now?"

"Everything, she thinks she can just come in here and take my home from me I'll show her that she's a nobody"

Zendaya hears everything but she could care less she walks passed them like they didn't matter. She arrives at Zendaya's house

The exterior was finished in polished stone and glass, the walls glowing softly under warm, strategically placed lights that made the entire structure look like it belonged in a dream.

Towering columns framed the grand entrance, leading up to massive double doors carved from dark, expensive wood, their gold handles gleaming. Every detail from the symmetry of the design to the flawless landscaping, spoke of careful planning and limitless resources.

Inside, the space opened into a breathtaking foyer with glossy marble floors that reflected the light like a mirror.

A sweeping staircase curved upward, its railings intricately designed, while a sparkling chandelier hung above like a crown. The air itself felt different, cool, quiet, and refined.

Beyond the entrance, each room carried its own sense of luxury: spacious living areas filled with plush furniture, a dining room set for extravagant gatherings, and large glass doors that led to a private outdoor oasis. At the back, a shimmering pool stretched out beside a lounge area, surrounded by soft lighting that turned the night into something magical. Zendaya just simply wondered where these men gets just money.

Catherina wasn't at the living room so she goes up to her bedroom and she could not believe what she saw.
