That morning, the sky was still clear when suddenly a loud explosion echoed from the schoolyard.
The sound sent the students into panic, and the teachers immediately activated the emergency sirens.
"RUN AWAY FROM THAT MONSTER IMMEDIATELY!" one of the teachers shouted through the school speakers.
All the students and teachers were shocked, including Hikari, Airi, Arou, Haru, Tomo, and Lumina.
Without hesitation, Airi summoned a sword into her hand as if she were using summoning magic.
Arou immediately stood beside her, ready to fight.
Then, a tall figure appeared in the schoolyard—the creature radiated a destructive aura.
Its name was: Weft.
Hikari widened his eyes.
Instinctively, a data screen appeared in his vision.
Weft's Data:
••Name: Weft
••Power: Minor Combat & Magic
••Title: Destroyer of Places
••Tier: D
Hikari swallowed nervously.
"What is this? I can see its identity?" he muttered.
He then tried looking at his mother's identity. Another screen appeared with complete stats.
Airi Mikami's Data:
••Name: Airi Mikami
••Power: Red & Golden Threads, Copying Abilities, Power Enhancement
••Title: Ninja
••Tier: SS
Hikari was stunned.
"Eh… Mom's Tier is SS? Is she really that strong?"
Then Hikari checked his own identity.
A screen appeared before his eyes—but everything was hidden.
Hikari Mikami's Data:
••Name: Hikari Mikami
••Power: Locked
••Title: Locked
••Tier: Locked
Hikari stared at the screen in confusion.
"What is this? My identity is hidden?"
Meanwhile, Airi and Arou were struggling against Weft.
Haru, Tomo, Lumina, and the other students watched the battle in shock.
Suddenly, Hikari heard Zata's voice inside his head.
"If you say 'Summon,' your weapon will appear."
By reflex, Hikari spoke the word.
"Summon!"
A white-purple light burst from his hand, slowly forming a white-purple spear.
Hikari stared at Weft.
With incredible speed, he dashed forward and slashed.
Weft instantly collapsed and turned into dust.
The entire school—including the teachers and students—fell silent.
Airi and Arou stared at Hikari with their mouths open in disbelief.
Hikari stood firmly, the white-purple spear still glowing faintly in his hand. His breathing was heavy, but his eyes shined brightly.
After Weft's dust disappeared and the school finally calmed down, the principal and several teachers approached Arou, Airi, and Hikari.
"You were amazing," the principal said with a wide smile.
"You saved all of us."
Arou grinned proudly, placing his hands on his hips.
"Well, that's just how I am… hahaha."
Suddenly, one of the teachers pointed at Arou jokingly.
"But you were the most useless one during the fight."
Arou froze.
"Eh, what?! I'm actually the strongest one here, but during the battle I pretended to be weak so Airi and Hikari could shine."
Airi looked at him with an amused smile.
"Ooh… really?"
The students around them started laughing.
"Hahaha, Arou was so pathetic!"
Arou crossed his arms, slightly annoyed.
"Shut up! At least I fought too."
The principal raised an eyebrow while laughing.
"What are you proud of, Arou? Hikari defeated the monster, Airi held it back, and you only rushed in."
Arou clicked his tongue in embarrassment.
"Tch…"
Hikari lowered his head slightly and looked at him.
"Sorry… Dad… I mean, Arou."
Arou smiled and gently patted Hikari's head.
"Eh, it's fine."
The teachers, students, and their friends all laughed softly.
The tense atmosphere from earlier slowly disappeared, replaced with relief and warmth.
Hikari looked at Airi and Arou, and his smile gradually returned.
After break time ended, Arou, Airi, and Hikari walked toward their classroom.
In the hallway, they met the principal waiting near the classroom door.
"Hikari," the principal called gently.
"Yes, what is it, sir?" Hikari replied as he stopped walking.
"As you saw earlier… this school is often attacked by monsters," the principal said seriously.
"So… are you still comfortable studying here?"
Hikari smiled lightly.
"It's okay, sir. I'm actually happy to study here."
The principal looked at him curiously.
"You're happy because you reunited with Arou and Airi again?"
Arou and Airi looked at Hikari in surprise.
"Eh?" they both said at the same time.
Hikari smiled sincerely.
"No, not only because of that."
The principal raised an eyebrow.
"Eh… then why?"
"I'm happy because everyone here is kind to me too," Hikari answered with a warm smile.
The principal glanced at Arou seriously.
"But… don't get too close to Arou."
Arou instantly became emotional.
"Oi, Principal! What are you talking about?!"
Hikari looked confused.
"Why, sir?"
The principal shrugged while trying not to laugh.
"Because he's the delinquent of this school. He's very mean to all the students."
Arou was shocked.
"Oi, Principal, don't spread fake rumors like that!"
Airi laughed softly while hiding her smile.
"He… He… He…"
The principal laughed as well.
"Hahaha… I'm just joking. Hikari, don't get too close to Arou because he has no manners toward the teachers."
Airi chuckled.
"Haha… that part is true."
Arou held back his anger and could only blink helplessly.
Hikari smiled as he looked at both of his parents, relieved to see them acting casually again.
The principal patted Hikari's shoulder.
"Now then… please head back to your classroom."
"Alright," Hikari, Airi, and Arou replied together as they walked into class.
After classes resumed, the atmosphere in the classroom felt different.
The students were still talking about what happened earlier in the schoolyard—Hikari defeating Weft.
Every time Hikari raised his hand or answered a question, several students looked at him with admiration.
"Eh… Hikari is the one who defeated that monster during break, right?" one student whispered.
"Yeah, he moved insanely fast. That was so cool!" his friend replied.
Hikari lowered his head slightly, his cheeks turning a little red, but he still smiled politely.
"Ah… it was only reflex," he answered quietly while looking at the blackboard.
Airi, sitting in front of him, smiled softly and patted his shoulder.
"Wow, Hikari… you're famous in class now," she whispered teasingly.
Hikari smiled shyly.
"Eh… I only wanted to help, not become famous."
Arou, sitting beside him, lightly patted his back.
"Hahaha, you've become the most popular student now. I'm really proud of you," he said while laughing.
Several other students started whispering, wanting to talk to Hikari or ask about his abilities.
Lumina, Haru, and Tomo watched from the back, looking surprised but proud.
The teacher tried calming the classroom down.
"Hikari, please focus on the lesson. Admiration is fine, but don't let it disrupt class."
Hikari nodded and looked at the blackboard again.
Even though he had become the center of attention, he remained humble.
Deep inside, however, he felt happy that his classmates accepted him—not just because he was strong, but because they genuinely liked him.
From that day on, the name Hikari Mikami became well-known in Class 2-A, not only because of his bravery against Weft, but also because of his calm and kind personality.
That afternoon, Hikari, Airi, Arou, Lumina, Haru, and Tomo were walking casually through a park near the school.
Suddenly, a dark figure with glowing red eyes emerged from the bushes—a mini monster named Scorpio.
Hikari stared at it, and a data screen instantly appeared in his vision.
Scorpio's Data:
••Name: Scorpio
••Power: Poison + Ability
••Title: Poison Spreader
••Tier: C
Hikari swallowed nervously before turning toward Airi, Arou, and the others.
"This is Scorpio. Tier C. Its poison and abilities are dangerous."
Arou raised both hands, and two swords appeared instantly.
Airi smiled fearlessly as she lifted her sword.
Hikari stared at the white-purple spear in his hand.
"My spear's name… is Dark Dragon," Hikari muttered.
"I'll use this spear to stop you."
Scorpio attacked, spreading poison into the air.
But Arou, Airi, and Hikari moved in perfect sync—a team already accustomed to fighting monsters together.
Hikari dashed toward Scorpio at incredible speed, his spear ready to strike.
Arou attacked from the side, while Airi pressured Scorpio from the front, cutting off its movements.
Scorpio tried to resist, but their teamwork was overwhelming.
The poison attacks were avoided, and Hikari's Dark Dragon pierced straight through the monster.
With a loud sound, Scorpio collapsed and vanished into dust.
Lumina, Haru, and Tomo stared in amazement.
"So cool… Hikari, Arou, Airi!" Lumina shouted excitedly.
Hikari looked down at Dark Dragon, a faint smile appearing on his face.
"Yeah… this was only practice, but I can already feel myself getting stronger."
They stood together, silently staring at the remaining dust of Scorpio drifting through the air.
