Chapter 1 - beginnings and ends

The amber light of the sun warmed the small village early in the morning. Among many houses, one in particular emitted muffled, indistinguishable sounds. Inside, a couple clung together near a window that shimmered in gold as the sunlight pierced through. Both merged fervently, their bodies so entwined they almost seemed as one, her legs locking around the young man's waist with desire. Sweat lubricated them, leaving both glistening in a yellowish hue. There were moments when both spasmed, locked in an even more violent embrace, before finally collapsing to the floor, sustained only by their arms and heavy, panting breaths. She still kept her body draped over his waist before pulling away, showcasing her ample figure with robust breasts—those generous and enchanting curves—as she caught her breath.

— "Every time we do this, I remember why I chose you long ago, even though I had to wait so long."

— "I thought it was because you saw me naked in the lake that one time."

— "That too."

— "You weren't the only one dreaming about this."

— "Do you think I don't know?" she said, laughing and tossing her curly hair. — "You used to come to my house saying you wanted to play with my kids, but I knew exactly who you wanted to play with!"

— "Caught red-handed!" he said, before bringing his lips to hers, joining their tongues in a wet embrace of hot desire.

— "Okay, I love this, but my man will be home soon. You'd better go."

— "Seriously? I think I've got enough gas for one more round!"

— "Stop it! You fool, hurry up!"

— "Fine! I have to go anyway. But I should already be feeling some kind of change, shouldn't I?"

— "Sometimes it takes longer. You shouldn't worry so much," she said, tapping his bare chest.

— "I'm already a few years late! I'm afraid of being one of those rare cases of people born without access to magic."

She stood up, and with a curved motion of her hand, a resplendent blue light wiped away the sweat and any dirt from their bodies. They dressed, shared one last kiss before saying goodbye, and Gantz stepped out onto the cobblestone streets.

She told me not to worry, but today I turn twenty-one. It's the deadline to awaken my mana! Damn it! I should be feeling something by now! All I perceive are slight goosebumps on my skin.

— "Hey Gantz, visiting Melinda?" an old man said as he passed by, delivering milk bottles to each wooden door.

— "Yeah, it had been a few days since I last saw her."

— "Hey, I know you like to hunt. I heard the forests are quite full this week—plenty of boars out there."

— "Really? I was already planning to go hunting, so I'll pay extra attention."

— "It would be nice if you brought me a piece later."

— "Fair enough, I'll bring you some afterward."

— "I'd better get going if I want to catch anything decent in the forest."

— "Good luck, my boy, and don't forget about me!"

— "I won't."

He ran along the stone roads while appreciating the beautiful scenery of the village's wooden houses, their reddish roofs, and the lively people in their colorful clothes and enthusiastic smiles.

This is the best place in the world, Gantz thought.

...

A carriage with beautiful curves and carvings that resembled lizard scales, topped with flags and red as embers in a hearth, was escorted by a group of armored soldiers. Their armor followed a pattern resembling beautiful beasts that seemed to be a fusion of a lizard and a horse—thick, reddish scales covering their entire bodies, with small horns running along the snout of the creatures, which walked like royalty.

The verdant trees glistened on either side of the road. The ground was uneven due to the lack of infrastructure, and the sun shone like never before, even though it didn't emit much heat.

— "Captain!" a guttural voice called from inside the carriage. Feminine laughter accompanied the voice before ceasing.

A young knight with blue eyes and golden hair approached, sliding the window open. Inside, a short, black-haired man was naked, intertwined with two beautiful naked women with curly hair.

— "Priest, what do you require?"

— "Are we arriving soon, my son?"

— "Just a few kilometers left, My Lord."

— "Excellent. I am inspired today, and we shall have a bit more fun before we must present ourselves." The man delivered two slaps to the women's backsides, and they laughed with pleasure. — "If it weren't for them, I would be dying of boredom on this verification journey."

— "Most certainly, My Lord!"

The young captain moved away with a hint of envy on his face; he wished he were home with his women too. But duty is duty. In the name of the sacred, we must sacrifice some pleasures to fulfill the will of the Great One! His eyes gleamed with reverence as he thought of his god.

The retinue arrived at the small village. A group of people was already gathering around them; the knights straightened themselves atop their mounts to draw the attention of the young women.

One of the women inside the carriage opened the door so the priest could step down, his hands behind his back and a wide smile on his face. The village administrator stood nearby, waiting for the envoy alongside his daughter.

The priest spotted him, but his eyes quickly shifted to the eighteen-year-old young woman beside him—dark skin with white tan lines from her bra on her shoulders, plump red lips, wide thighs, and long black hair cascading down to her waist. He had to control himself not to lick his lips.

Both the young woman and her father noticed the persistence of the priest's gaze. While the young woman grew timid under his watch, her father scratched his chin, scheming in his mind.

— "Priest Olete! It is an honor to have you here with us on this sunny day. I hope your journey was pleasant!"

— "You wouldn't believe how pleasant, my friend!" Olete replied, smiling. He turned to the young woman beside him, took her hand, and kissed it delicately. — "And who might this beautiful woman beside you be?"

— "This is my eldest daughter, Lucia. She is my most precious pearl."

— "I imagine, I imagine!" Olete replied. — "Leaving pleasures for later, then, we have some matters to settle."

— "Yes, let us go. I will escort You and your magnificent knights to my residence."

The beautiful house with red roofs sat upon a verdant hill. The winds brushed across the fine fields as the carriages ascended the stone road. A tree beside the house was heavily laden with apples. The vehicles stopped at the entrance, and a group of maids came to attend to the visitors.

Lucio went up to the head maid and whispered in her ear: — "Tell the maids to 'give the knights whatever they desire.'"

The woman nodded, smiling. He turned and flashed a wide smile at Olete and his maids stepping out of the carriage. Lucia's expression contorted; she furrowed her brow and bit her lip as she walked toward her father. This did not escape Olete's astute eyes. He smiled inwardly.

Everyone entered the house. The knights followed the maids down a corridor while Olete carelessly walked up the stairs with Lucio. Olete dismissed his own maids and grabbed Lucia's hand as he ascended.

— "So, my daughter, what is it like growing up in this town?"

They chatted as they made their way to the central door on the second floor. Lucio entered first and held the door for Olete.

— "My daughter, we shall speak again later. Your father and I have business."

— "I look forward to later." Lucia smiled enchantingly before Olete kissed her cheek and stepped inside.

The office was small but comfortable, with walls lined with leather-bound books. On its ceiling was a beautiful painting of several dolphins leaping around. The floor was covered by a dark blue carpet that led to a fine white marble desk and a black leather chair.

— "Please, My Lord." Lucio bowed as he extended his arms to point toward his own chair.

Olete pomposly sat in the chair, relaxing his body into the pleasant seat.

— "Sit," he told Lucio, gesturing with his hand toward the chair on the other side of the room. Lucio walked over and sat down just as a child would when ordered by an adult.

— "So, what do you have for me?"

— "We have collected a large quantity of mana stones. I believe My Lord will be pleased." He stood up and went to the books in the center of the room, pushing a red-colored one, which opened a large compartment that ejected two briefcases—one smaller than the other.

Lucio placed both on the desk and opened them, causing Olete's face to gleam like a rainbow due to the sun's reflection on the diamonds.

— "Excellent! Excellent!" Olete closed the briefcases. One of them he placed beside him on the chair, and the smaller one he stored inside the chain-shaped ring on his index finger. — "Now let us speak of more interesting matters."

Snapping his fingers, Olete created a small circle. This tiny ball expanded until it reached every corner of the room, covering them completely. He raised his hand, palm facing Lucio, and connected his pinky finger to his thumb. Lucio made the same sign with his right arm.

— "A day of labor for an eternity of purity!"

— "A day of labor for an eternity of purity!" both uttered at the same time.

— "How fares the purification?"

— "Slower than desired. These damned half-breeds give more trouble than they seemed. We managed to exterminate three settlements recently, but the progress diminishes day by day. Curse the First Emperor! That wretched fornicator!"

— "May he burn!" Lucio replied, fervent at his words.

Olete waved his hand. — "And how is your breeding project coming along?"

— "Oh! Splendidly! The young knights must already be enjoying it firsthand."

— "Hahaha! At least these half-breeds are good for that!" Olete rubbed his hands, his lips opening into a wide grin. — "Now, I am more inclined to speak about my midnight snack."

Lucio looked awkward for a moment before regaining his tranquil expression. — "The price remains the same."

Olete waved his hand dismissively. — "Do not worry, you will receive what is due to you."

Both left the room smiling, arms over each other's shoulders like good friends. Olete went down to the first floor and walked through a hallway filled with doors until he opened the last one at the end. His men were naked alongside the maids; moans and the stench of hormones struck him as he opened the door. He looked around, passing over the sweaty bodies and swaying breasts before closing the door.

— "Where is Leonardo?" He looked through the window and spotted the young captain enjoying the breeze beneath the apple tree. He waved his hand in disdain and headed to his room. He would have an excellent dinner and a savory dessert at the end of the day.

Dinner went well. Olete enjoyed Lucia's company for a few more hours, drawing good laughs from her using old stories and ancient jokes. At a certain point, Olete smiled as he noticed her touch on one of his thighs. They parted after dinner.

The house was silent. The shadows of the large apple tree could be seen on the wooden floor as Olete walked silently down the hallway. Although no lights were on, the moonlight illuminated the path. He was amused by the situation; it had been a long time since he practiced this sort of thing, and he was as anxious as a youth about to get into mischief.

Reaching a beautiful floral door, he didn't knock; he merely turned the handle slowly, hoping the door wouldn't creak. It didn't, and he let out a sigh before closing it completely. When he turned his body, he spotted Lucia bathed by the intense moonlight on the bed, her curves covered by only a light, almost transparent white fabric. One of her legs was up on the bed and the other was dangling to the floor, while both her arms were stretched back supporting her body. Her lips parted into a smile.

— "You took your time, Ole. I was almost giving up!"

— "Ole? Is that my nickname?"

— "I can call you Priest if you prefer."

Lucia brought her other leg up into the same position, leaving them open, covered only by a small piece of fabric as she swayed her legs.

— "Call me whatever you like." He walked until he stood in front of her, catching the sweet fragrance of perfume drifting from her body.

She intertwined her legs around his waist, locking her feet behind his back. Olete leaned his body over hers while supporting himself with one knee on the bed. They looked intensely into each other's eyes before bringing their lips close together, connecting in a warm, moist embrace. He slid his arm down between her legs, feeling the heat and moisture. She jolted as he touched her. They didn't know when they had shed their clothes; Olete merely delighted in the beautiful, slightly heavy mounds and full, erect breasts, her dark, glistening skin, and the natural scent emitted from her body.

He moved his waist, and both trembled with passion, their grips firmer and more passionate as they swayed.

— "We only have one last step," Olete said, running his hand over her groin

.

— "Do you want me to deactivate the contraception spell?"

— "I am a priest, Lucia. The word of the God of Tides says we must reproduce with every act. I cannot commit this sin with you."

She paused for a moment before nodding timidly and running her hands over the tattoo, deactivating it. Her grip grew tighter and wetter. His lips widened into a sly smile.

His movements were intense at times, then reduced, becoming slower, intimate, and loving. Lucia controlled her voice, emitting muffled moans. They looked into each other's eyes when Olete lowered his body to kiss her, their bodies trembling in ecstasy at the exact same instant.

Suddenly, the front door burst open. He turned his torso to look at the female figure covered by the night shadows, while remaining connected to Lucia.

The shadow moved like a flash, appearing in front of Olete with long nails aimed at his eyes. A blue barrier emerged, repelling the attack. He broke away from Lucia as she shrieked and crawled to the floor, a white liquid dripping down her legs as she tried to reach the bathroom.

Olete ignored her as he defended against the assassin's repetitive strikes. His phallus remained erect while he created floating, blue, honeycomb-like plates, defending every attack with dexterity.

— "Disgusting sub-human! You dare come here to disrupt a sacred moment?"

The figure did not reply. A furry tail emerged from her back, delivering a low sweep in an attempt to trip him. He waved his left hand, unleashing another spell, causing his body to levitate and evade the tail while forming more honeycomb barriers with his other hand.

— "My turn!" Innumerable blue chains erupted from his back, trying to seize the assassin's limbs. She evaded with dexterity as her body contorted, scaling the walls and using them to propel herself out of their reach.

Screams and roars echoed from outside, making him furrow his brow for a moment.

— "It seems this dance will be a solo," Olete said, summoning a vast number of small blue bees. The tiny creatures attacked with their stingers. She slashed at each insect that approached with her nails, but Olete surrounded her with the shields, narrowing her space. In a moment of desperation, she pulled a small piece of paper from her pocket and threw it into the air, causing an avalanche of fire to engulf everything around.

— "Damn it!" Olete roared, drawing the shields toward himself.

The flames passed over him and vanished immediately after. The assassin emerged right behind them, this time with a beautiful dagger as curved as a serpent, on track to pierce his chest. The glinting blade was stopped by a blue fabric. She retreated, leaping backward as she observed that her target had donned a large, dark blue robe lined with stars and moons.

His eyes turned bluish, and she felt her body violently crushed against the wall. She tried to reach for another paper on her chest when she felt the pressure intensify; her nose began to bleed, and her lungs began to stop absorbing oxygen.

— "Fitting for an insect," Olete muttered, slapping the air.

Her body was crushed against the wall, her bones tearing through her skin and leaking blood and other fluids. Her head burst like a watermelon, scattering brain matter. Her eyes were thrown to the other side of her body while her ribs completely crossed into one another.

Silence lingered for a moment before Olete let out a triumphant huff. He looked toward the bathroom for a second, and then looked at the gore painted on the bedroom wall.

— "Better clean this up. I don't want her having this kind of sight and losing her goodwill toward me." He waved his hand, and a wave of water surged, cleaning the entire room and restoring it to its original state. No one would think anything had happened there before.

At that moment, Leonardo entered the room, stopping upon seeing Olete standing arrogantly in the space. Lucia emerged from the bathroom, dressed in a more reserved nightgown. But Leonardo's powerful sense of smell identified the significant scent on her body. He stared intensely at Olete while thinking: He deflowered our host's daughter in her own home? What the hell! I really should have become a priest!

— "What is it?" Olete inquired, noticing the gaze.

— "Reporting: four targets eliminated, all half-breeds. Do you have any idea why they were after you, sir?"

— "And how should I know what those wretched creatures think in their defective brains?!"

Leonardo did not appreciate the prejudiced manner in which it was uttered, but he brushed it aside. It must be the stress of being attacked, he thought.

— "And it wasn't four, it was five," Olete pointed out.

— "I think we should leave, sir. It is not a good idea."

— "No! Forget it! I still have a mass to give, and a priest always keeps his promises." He looked briefly at Lucia before leaving with Leonardo after bidding her goodbye.
