Lirien's POV
The days at home were starting to feel more normal. Even though I was still tired most of the time, taking care of the babies with Vael, Davis, and Sara made everything feel meaningful. One afternoon, while the babies were napping, I remembered something important. Mira and Kai had been asking to see the babies for days. They had sent many messages saying how excited they were to meet their new nieces and nephews, even if it was only through video.
I smiled and picked up my phone. I video called them together in a group call. The screen lit up, and soon both their faces appeared.
"Lirien!" Mira said happily. Her eyes were wide with excitement. "Finally! We've been waiting for this!"
Kai leaned closer to the camera. "Show us the babies! We want to see them so badly!"
