The cultivation is divided in three schools- martial essence, spiritual essence and mana essence.
There are 12 realms for each school of cultivation and each realm has different names so they are called in the Tiers. From tier 1 to 12.

Every individual has their own cultivation techniques the moment they awaken and there is no answer to that. But after do many years and accumulation, the cultivators discussed and merged many concepts to drew the important points that are common in every path and thus these cultivation techniques became coomon and everyone cultivates them.
most of the techniques remains the same in the same bloodline. for instance, an alpha gets a technique and this is the same technique that ass from his bloodline. this also called many to call them the secrect inheritance of a family.
there are somethines anamolies that appear but it will still share similiarities to the old one.
Eacsh realm is different. But the path of all leads to one. It is said that the demigod represents a single entity no matter which school of cultivation there is. These realms are further divided into ranks. From one to nine and the perfection of a realm is often considered as level 10.
But after tier 4 there are no ranks. There is only comprehension and accumulation. This is the reason that the alliance wants everyone to accumulate in the early years. The more perfection(rank 10) one achieves, the higher their chances are to become a powerhouse in the future.
Despite all that, the rut of an Alpha and heat of an Omega and many other species issues or gender issues still remained. Everyone assumed that this is the price that the galaxy demanded from them in giving such blessing.
