Chapter 26 - Slow Progress.

Learning was not easy.

Kofi realized that quickly.

Very quickly.

The next day, after finishing his usual work, he returned again.

Same place.

Same man.

Same quiet environment.

But this time…

He knew what to expect.

Or at least…

He thought he did.

Starting Again

"You came back," the man said without looking up.

"I said I would," Kofi replied.

The man nodded slightly.

"Good."

He handed him another task.

"Try this."

Kofi took it carefully.

This time, he tried to remember everything from the day before.

Every step.

Every instruction.

But as he started…

Something went wrong.

Mistakes

"Stop," the man said.

Kofi paused.

"You're rushing," the man added.

Kofi looked down.

"I thought I understood," he said quietly.

The man shook his head.

"Understanding is not thinking you know," he said.

"It's doing it right."

Kofi nodded slowly.

"I'll try again."

Trying Again

He started over.

Slower this time.

More careful.

But even then…

It wasn't perfect.

Another mistake.

Another correction.

"Watch closely," the man said, demonstrating it again.

Kofi leaned in.

Focused.

Not just looking…

But really seeing.

Frustration Creeps In

After some time, Kofi stepped back slightly.

He let out a small breath.

"This is harder than I thought," he admitted.

The man looked at him.

"Of course it is," he said.

"Anything worth learning is not easy."

Kofi nodded.

But inside…

He felt it.

That small frustration.

The same feeling that had made him give up before.

A Choice

He stood there quietly.

Looking at his hands.

Thinking.

"I can stop," he said to himself.

"It's easier."

No stress.

No pressure.

Just go back to what he already knew.

Simple work.

Simple routine.

Or…

He could continue.

Struggle.

Make mistakes.

Feel uncomfortable.

Grow.

Decision

Kofi picked up the tool again.

"I'll continue," he said.

The man didn't smile.

But he nodded.

"That's how it starts," he said.

A Small Improvement

This time, something changed.

Not perfect.

But better.

"Hmm," the man murmured.

Kofi looked up.

"Better," the man said.

Just one word.

But it meant everything.

Understanding the Process

As the evening went on, Kofi improved slowly.

Very slowly.

But enough to notice.

Each mistake became a lesson.

Each correction…

A step forward.

Walking Back

That night, Kofi walked home more tired than usual.

Not just physically.

But mentally.

Learning had taken something out of him.

But it had also given him something.

Understanding.

"This won't be easy," he said quietly.

"But it will be worth it."

Still Holding On

He stopped for a moment.

Looked ahead.

Then nodded to himself.

"I won't quit this time."

And for the first time…

That decision felt solid.

End of Chapter 26

Growth was not comfortable.

It was slow.

Full of mistakes.

Full of pressure.

But Kofi had made a choice.

To keep going.

Even when it was hard.
