Chapter 187 - Thank you

Noxus stood silently among the ruins of Sector X.

She looked down at the ground, her expression filled with regret.

"...It's my fault."

Yin looked at her.

Noxus clenched her fists.

"I got Brody and Fawn killed."

Her voice trembled.

"If I could go back to the past..."

"...maybe I could change everything."

Yin stepped closer and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"No."

Noxus looked at him.

"It wasn't only your fault."

"I made the decision too."

He looked around at the destroyed laboratory.

"I helped build Sector X."

"I helped choose the path we took."

Yin gave her a small smile.

"But..."

"We still have each other, right?"

Noxus slowly looked at Yin.

Then she looked toward Maxwell.

Maxwell remained silent for a moment before giving a small nod.

Noxus's expression softened.

"...Yes."

"We still have each other."

Alpha stepped forward.

"Noxus."

"Maxwell."

"Both of you will be taken to the Balance Table."

"You'll face the consequences for what Sector X has done."

Noxus nodded.

Maxwell sighed but didn't resist.

A horse-drawn carriage soon arrived beside them.

Alpha stepped aside.

"Please."

"Step into the carriage."

Noxus looked at Yin one last time before walking toward it.

Maxwell followed her.

The two climbed inside.

The carriage door closed.

As the horse began moving, Yin stood outside and watched them disappear into the distance.

For the first time...

Sector X was truly over.

Saito looked around at the destroyed Sector X base.

He let out a tired sigh.

"...What an adventure we had."

Kaito nodded.

"Yeah."

Before Saito could say anything else, Alpha walked toward them.

Saito immediately noticed him.

"Oh great."

"He's going to give a speech."

Alpha raised an eyebrow.

"I heard that."

Saito froze.

"...Sorry."

Alpha looked toward the Blue Scarf members.

"Blue Scarf."

"You helped us, even though you aren't one of us."

"The Balance Table thanks you for your assistance."

Saito smiled.

"It's nothing."

Shiro stepped forward.

"It is."

He looked at Saito seriously.

"You helped save many people today."

Saito smiled.

"Then I'm glad I could help."

Alpha nodded.

"Now, if you'll excuse me..."

He turned toward Yin and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Let's go."

Yin suddenly stopped.

"Wait."

He walked over to Saito.

"Thank you."

Saito looked at him.

"Like I said..."

"It's nothing."

Yin chuckled.

Then he turned toward Alya.

He reached into his pocket and pulled something out.

A transparent device.

Alya's eyes widened.

"...My device!"

Yin handed it to her.

"I believe this belongs to you."

Alya stared at it.

"How did you—?"

"I grabbed it before the laboratory exploded."

Alya smiled and carefully took it back.

"Thank you."

Yin nodded.

"If you have some time..."

"Come visit me at the lab."

He smiled.

"We could use someone like you."

Alya looked toward Saito.

Saito gave her a small nod.

Alya smiled.

"I will."

Yin smiled back.

"Great."

Alpha placed his hand on Yin's shoulder again.

"Now."

Yin nodded.

"Alright."

A faint light surrounded them.

In the next moment—

Whoosh!

Alpha and Yin disappeared from the battlefield.

Saito watched them vanish.

Then he looked toward the remaining Blue Scarf members.

"...Well."

"Looks like we're finally done."

Rin suddenly broke the silence.

"...I'm hungry."

Saito looked at him.

"Then let's go eat."

Shiro chuckled.

"I'll buy you something."

Saito immediately smiled.

"Now that's what I call kindness."

Herion laughed quietly.

"You didn't waste any time."

The group relaxed slightly after everything they had been through.

A moment later, Lily walked toward Saito.

"We Red Sun will be heading back to our territory."

Saito looked at her.

"So soon?"

He smiled.

"You don't want to join us?"

Hashima stepped forward.

"We still need to take care of a few things around our territory."

Saito nodded.

"I see."

Lily suddenly smirked.

"What?"

"You'll miss me already?"

Saito immediately looked away.

"No."

Lily laughed.

"Sure."

Saito sighed.

"Don't start."

The others chuckled as the tension of the long battle finally began to disappear.

Saito waved toward the Red Sun Gang.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Go do your samurai thing."

Hashima chuckled.

"We'll meet again, Saito."

He turned and began walking away with Makuto.

Lily followed them, but after a few steps, she suddenly stopped.

She glanced back at Saito.

Then—

She quickly rushed toward him.

Before Saito could react, Lily leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek.

Saito froze.

"...Huh?"

Lily smiled.

"That's for saving me."

She immediately turned around and ran back toward Hashima and Makuto.

Saito stood completely frozen.

Kaito stared at him.

"...Is there something we don't know?"

Bomb crossed his arms thoughtfully.

"I believe our captain has something we call..."

He paused dramatically.

"...love."

Fanny immediately finished the sentence.

"Love."

Saito's face turned serious.

"No."

Alya chuckled.

"Sure."

"You can trust us with your secret."

Rin looked between Saito and Lily.

"Wait..."

"Are you two already—"

Saito immediately cut him off.

"Okay!"

"Let's go eat."

Rin blinked.

"...You didn't answer."

"Let's go!"

Saito quickly walked away as everyone followed him, laughing behind his back.

Saito suddenly looked toward Olsen.

"How about you, Olsen?"

Olsen glanced toward the others.

"I think I'll pass."

He looked toward the sky.

"I want to go back up there."

Saito suddenly remembered what had happened during the battle.

The frozen time.

The mysterious figure.

Saito's eyes widened.

"Wait!"

He quickly rushed toward Olsen.

"Before you go!"

"I met this guy during your fight with Noxus."

"He froze time!"

Olsen stopped and looked at him.

Saito continued.

"Everyone was frozen except me."

"I couldn't figure out what happened."

Olsen was silent for a moment.

Then he gave a small smile.

"Oh..."

"That."

Saito stared at him.

"You know who he is?"

Olsen looked toward the sky.

"Let's just say..."

"...he's our creator."

Saito's eyes widened.

"What?"

Olsen didn't explain any further.

"You'll see."

He slowly rose into the air.

Saito looked up at him.

"Wait!"

But Olsen continued floating higher.

Saito sighed.

"Yep."

"He didn't give me any answers."

Olsen disappeared into the sky.

Saito stood there for a moment.

"...Why does everyone keep doing that?"

"SAITO!"

Rin's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

Saito looked back.

"Wait up!"

He quickly walked toward the others.

Rin waved him over.

"We're going!"

Saito caught up with the group and looked around at his friends.

For a moment, he thought about everything that had happened.

The battle.

Sector X.

Noxus.

The mysterious figure.

Olsen's strange answer.

Saito smiled.

Well...

I already like this journey.

He walked alongside his crew as they headed toward Dan Village.

Shiro and Herion followed with them.

Rin suddenly rubbed his stomach.

"I'm seriously hungry."

Saito laughed.

"Then let's hurry."

The group continued down the road toward Dan Village, ready to finally fill their stomachs after the chaos of the battle.

High above the road, Olsen floated silently in the sky.

He looked down at the Blue Scarf crew as they continued toward Dan Village.

His eyes settled on Saito.

"That boy..."

Olsen smiled.

"He's really fascinating."

He remembered how Saito had remained conscious during the frozen time.

"He almost met him."

Olsen chuckled softly.

"I wonder what kind of future awaits you, Saito."

He looked toward the distant sky.

"I hope I get to see it."

With that, Olsen turned around.

Golden auris surrounded his body as he flew higher into the sky.

Soon, he disappeared into the clouds.
