Ten years later...
The doors to the Sector X laboratory suddenly burst open.
Bang!
Brody rushed inside, carrying Fawn in his arms.
Blood covered Fawn's body.
"Help me!"
"Quick!"
Maxwell immediately ran toward them.
"What happened?!"
Brody carefully placed Fawn on the examination table.
Maxwell checked the monitor beside him.
His expression immediately changed.
"Crap..."
He looked at Fawn's heart rate.
"His vitals are bad."
The monitor continued beeping rapidly.
Noxus quickly stepped forward.
"Move."
Maxwell immediately stepped aside.
Noxus leaned over Fawn and began examining the damaged wires connected throughout his body.
Some of them were completely broken.
Others had been torn loose.
She quickly grabbed her tools.
"Hold him still."
Yin approached them, his expression tense.
"What happened?"
Brody clenched his fists.
"Some people..."
"They just beat him up."
Yin's face hardened.
"Crap."
Noxus continued working without saying a word.
Her hands moved faster as she examined Fawn's damaged systems.
Maxwell noticed her expression.
"What's wrong?"
Noxus stopped for a moment.
She looked at Fawn.
Then at the others.
Her voice became quiet.
"I can't do anything."
Everyone fell silent.
Noxus continued.
"It's already critical."
Yin stepped closer.
"...There has to be something."
Noxus looked back at Fawn.
"I can..."
"...at least replace the broken wires."
She hesitated.
"But he won't be the same."
Her eyes lowered.
"Not the Fawn we know."
Yin clenched his fists.
He looked at Fawn lying motionless on the table.
"...Whatever you have to do."
"Do it."
Noxus nodded.
"Alright."
She picked up her tools.
The laboratory fell silent except for the constant beeping of the monitor.
Noxus carefully began replacing the damaged wires, determined to keep Fawn alive.
Yin clenched his fists.
"Where are those guys?"
Brody answered immediately.
"They're still in the alley nearby."
Yin pulled out his Destroyer Watch and strapped it onto his wrist.
"Then let's go beat them up."
Brody nodded.
"Let's go."
Maxwell picked up his weapon.
"I'm coming too."
Before leaving, Yin looked back at Noxus.
"Try to bring him back."
Noxus nodded.
"I'll do what I can."
The three of them walked out of the laboratory.
The doors closed behind them.
Hours later...
The laboratory doors opened again.
Yin, Brody, and Maxwell walked back inside.
Their clothes were covered in blood.
They looked exhausted.
Noxus was already standing beside Fawn.
She had managed to help him back onto his feet.
Fawn slowly moved his head.
"System reboot..."
His voice sounded mechanical.
Noxus looked toward the others.
"I already fixed him."
Yin stared at Fawn.
He slowly stepped closer.
"Buddy?"
Fawn turned toward him.
"Hello, Yin."
His voice was completely different.
Robotic.
Yin's expression dropped.
Brody looked at Fawn.
"Yep."
"He's not like before."
Yin remained silent for a moment.
Then his eyes suddenly widened.
"Guys..."
"I heard about this experiment."
He looked toward Fawn.
"I think it can help him."
Maxwell frowned.
"What experiment?"
Yin looked at the others.
"But..."
"We need blood."
Maxwell thought for a moment.
"We're near the village."
Noxus slowly looked toward him.
"...Then we attack them."
Yin nodded.
He raised his Destroyer Watch.
"Let's go."
He looked at his teammates.
"Sector X."
The others nodded.
Together, they walked toward the exit.
Their next experiment had begun.
Near the village, flames rose into the night sky.
Several houses had already been reduced to burning rubble.
Brody charged forward and attacked one of the guards, knocking him down.
Maxwell walked over and looked down at the fallen guard.
He tightened his grip on his hammer.
"..."
Then—
Bang!
He slammed the hammer down.
Yin walked past them without stopping.
Nearby villagers had gathered together, frightened and desperate.
"Please..."
"Let us go!"
Yin stopped in front of them.
His expression was completely cold.
"No."
The villagers stared at him in fear.
Yin raised his wrist.
"You'll all be sacrifices."
His Destroyer Watch activated.
Click.
A tiny missile launched from the device.
Whoosh!
BOOM!
The explosion erupted nearby, sending smoke and debris into the air.
Noxus calmly walked through the chaos.
She looked around before approaching another guard.
Shing!
She drove her weapon into him, knocking him down.
Yin glanced around the area.
"Okay."
"That's enough blood."
Brody walked over carrying several syringes in his hands.
He held them up.
"We've got plenty of samples."
He looked toward Maxwell.
"Maxwell, help me with this."
Maxwell nodded.
"Alright."
The three began gathering the blood they needed while Noxus stood nearby, watching the burning village in silence.
Two years later...
Yin was pinned against a wall.
Alpha stood in front of him, holding him firmly in place.
He looked at Yin with disappointment.
"Your young heart..."
"...has already been consumed by evil."
Yin stared back at him.
"Humans will always become ruthless."
Alpha remained silent for a moment.
Then he sighed.
"...Hashima."
He glanced toward him.
"If you please."
Hashima stepped forward.
Before Yin could react—
Bang!
Hashima struck him hard.
Yin's eyes rolled back as he collapsed unconscious.
Alpha caught his body before he hit the ground.
"Let's go."
He dragged Yin toward a waiting carriage.
The door opened.
Alpha placed Yin inside, then climbed in.
The carriage began moving, carrying Yin away from the village.
Back at Sector X
Brody rushed into the laboratory.
"Yin is missing."
Noxus immediately looked up.
Her expression hardened.
"...Bring him back."
She stood from her chair.
"Whatever it takes."
Maxwell nodded.
Fawn stood beside him.
Unlike before, his body was completely normal again.
His voice was no longer robotic.
Brody gave a faint smirk.
"Understood."
The three turned toward the exit.
Noxus watched them leave.
"Find Yin."
"Bring him home."
The doors closed behind them.
Maxwell, Fawn, and Brody headed toward the nearby villages of Feerus City.
Their mission was no longer about experiments alone.
They were going to terrorize the villages to find Yin.
The following year...
The night was quiet.
Maxwell sat alone outside a small building, holding a bottle of beer in his hand.
He took another drink while staring into the distance.
Then he noticed someone approaching.
Maxwell froze.
"...Yin?"
Yin stopped in front of him.
Maxwell stared at him for a moment before slowly smiling.
"You came back."
Yin nodded and walked over.
He sat down beside Maxwell.
"...Where is everybody else?"
Maxwell looked toward the road.
"They're still looking for you."
Yin lowered his head.
"I see."
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then Yin quietly said,
"I think..."
"...it's time for us to change."
Maxwell looked at him.
"Change?"
"Why?"
Yin looked at the bottle in Maxwell's hand before staring toward the distant city.
"I think I've found a new vision for Sector X."
Maxwell's expression became more serious.
"What kind of vision?"
"I've already created some technology..."
"...technology that can actually help people."
Maxwell remained silent.
"And what about our mission?"
Yin looked directly at him.
"We change it."
Maxwell slowly shook his head.
"Yin..."
Yin turned toward him.
Maxwell sighed.
"You're my closest friend."
"But unfortunately..."
"...we can't just do that."
He lowered the bottle.
"I don't know what happened to you while you were away."
"But you can't just change everything in one day."
Yin remained silent.
Maxwell continued looking at him.
"You're asking us to abandon everything we've done."
Yin clenched his fists.
"...I know."
"But if we keep going the way we are..."
He looked toward the city.
"...we'll only destroy ourselves."
Maxwell didn't answer.
The two friends sat beside each other in silence, both realizing that Sector X was standing at a crossroads.
