Chapter 9 - Death and Rebirth

Death and rebirth comes hand in hand, it is an inevitable process of this thing we call life. As the winds blows and the leaves ruffles, the breaking of the soil over and over was a patient and hard task but something worth it.

"Micheal why are you burying it over there, that is people land?"

I gazed at a short dark skinned lady no more than 5'1 neck length wavey braided hair with dark brown eyes... Gazing at Her I exasperated.

"Mother, It's a dead puppy. I don't think they are going to make a fuss.."

"Then why don't you let the vultures have it."

I sighed softly as I continued digging and removing the soil, flash back of the short moment of life this little creature lived ran through my thoughts.

A gentle touch of it's wet nose against my ankle, the energetic wagging of it brownish grey tail which matched the same coat of fur that it was born with, this little energetic pup was no more than two months old, she would have make a wonderful adult mixed breed of german shepard and mongrel.

Resting her now stiff lifeless small figure in the hole which will now be her final resting place on this plane. I slowly covered her with the soil, remembering her final moments of breath just hours before she took her last breath, it was a saddening experience.

Soothing the top of her small head softly to make her passing a bit more memerable and comforting, her figure has drastically lost a lot of weight in her body, Obvious signs that the pup was dehydrated regardless of drenching her with water. The attempts was not able to save her life, with our little knowledge of veternering we had.

Not having any real great or indepth attachment to the little creature, it was still sad to know it life was cut short by unknown illness, regardless, that little pup had so much potentail within her little and young frame. Soothing her head softly for a few minute as her breathing gets slower and eyes getting weaker, I spoke to her briefly knowing not if she could understand me.

" You have done well, regardless of your short life on this earth.... Sorry I never came around to giving you a name, hopefully in your next life you can grow up strong and have a good life. Now rest well, you have done enough.."

And with that her body slowly got covered by the soil, patting it down I took up a soft burgundy plant, if I remembered clearly it was a variation of a 'Joseph Coat Of Many Colors' one of my favorite plants and also one of the plants I sawwas freely avaliable in the yard. Sticking the plant down in the freshly covered grave I patted it down...

"Why are you planting a flowers there? I don't think you should do that on the people land they may complaine."

"Mother.... I have my reasons...."

With that being said she looked at me for a while then asked me a question.

"Oh.... Your showing respect to the dead?..."

"Yes...."

"I understand.... I am sorry.... I didn't notice that is what you are doing..."

"That's fine...."

Leaving me be to finish giving the dead the respect for it's short life, I gave a short prayer for it's journey through the cycle of life. Even though I am not a individual who pray often, following that pttern and finishing. I left the grave site.

" I hope in your next life, you grow up strong..."

- Several centries in the future -

"Light come on, where are you going?"

"No where, I just see something here..."

I heard the voice of a being calling out to me in a direction I have yet to explore within this new world I was born in. Flapping my golden fairy wings I arrived at a suspicious glowing burgundy plant that had a crimson stem, with tiny purple petals for blooms at the top. Landing on the ground with my feet I gazed at the plant.

"Interesting.... Sylphiette... Rusalka... What kind of plant is this?"

A slender figure of a young girl dressed in a green floural dresss with green wings and blonde long hair landed next to me.

'' Hmm... Oh my... Light I think we have found a variation of a Spirit plant..."

Interjecting a short girl with thick thighs dressed in a short grey shorts with a matching top blue wings and messy blue hair came up next to Sylphiette..

"It's a Haku Of Many Colors..."

"Haku of many colors?"

"Yes..."

From my research of the past world, the Haku of many colors is a mutated version of the very common plant from that era called the Joseph Coats Of Many Colors. In our magical era that plant has become almost extinct, due to its ability to evolve and help evolution. However the Haku of many colors is said to be when cared for deeply can evolve and transform into a unique and powerful spirit beast...

Looking at the plant, I smiled softly as I gazed at it making my decision..

" I think.... I'll try my hand at gardening for a while...."
