Zaiyal's father Zaiyal VIII arrived screaming if his son was okay and he
sensed his son's life-force fading and eventually burning out. Ungar was shocked
for the first time in his life Zaiyal's father was truly worried about him. It took the
boy almost dieing for his father to finally treat him with love and respect. Ungar
made it clear to Zaiyal senior that his son and the others were currently healing in a
hut that he had set up and he also introduced Zaiyal senior to Taiping and Acon 01
01 01 -012. Zaiyal's father was restless over the condition of his son and it would
be several hours before Zaiyal, Daniel, Sarai, Tatu and the others would wake up
and be on the path to reaching there full health. Ungar knew he had to tell Daniel
something he had been hiding from him since the beginning because of Ebisu.
Something he knew long before he first met him. It was something that Ungar
honestly didn't know if the boy could handle but Master Miyamoto Musashi made
it clear that he would have to tell Daniel it was practically the only way he could
grow and morally Daniel deserved to know this. As Ungar waited for the inevitable
the hours seemed to stretch on into eternity. And the feeling in his soul was
extremely tense. Ungar knew the time was soon at hand where he would have to
reveal the truth.
Several hours had gone by. And it seemed that soon Daniel and the others
would wake up. Zaiyal's father had been beside himself with grief. Eventually
Zaiyal was to first wake up and Zaiyal's father hugged his son who was in a
dilerious state. He said that he was tired of blaming him for his mother's death and
that he would be a better father from than on and that his son almost dying was
what it took to realize what he had taken for granted. One Zaiyal became more
aware of his surroundings the fact that his cold distant-father was showing
compassion and love for the first time in his life to his only son was too much to
bear and Zaiyal collapsed into a sobbing mess. The two embraced each other but it
was eventually sort of interrupted by Tatu the Wasp Prince who thought it was a
feminine and pathetic display of emotion on both of their parts.
Soon after Sarai awoke and of course after being healed from Ungar's spell and than both Daniel
and Sun-Wukong Jr. had awoke from their naps as well as Quilu the Orc who
apologized for ditching everyone when Demon King Taipei confronted them whom
was forced to apologize by threat from Ungar. And finally Taiping and Acon 01 01
01 -012 greeted there friends telling them about their time training on Flower and
Fruit Mountain with Jr.'s father the famous Monkey King whom they would after
Daniel passed one more trial they would be meeting up Sun-Wukong and his allies
shortly. Taiping and Acon 01 01 01 -012 were introduced to Tatu who they
understandably didn't trust. When everyone was eventually woke everyone wanted
to know how Ungar had seemingly come back to the Spirit Realm and where he
had gone. Ungar explained everything including; the truth about his reincarnations
and the purpose for his existence, his training with the legendary Japanese
swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, and of course meeting the Star People who lived
beyond time and space. Everyone was fascinated by Ungar's story even Tatu who
feigned non-interest was absolutely jealous of Ungar's destiny. The Wasp thought
to himself; "That Warlock over there is the reincarnation of countless
living-beings, and one day he'll become a sacred being and obtain the power of a
God?! This is ridiculous! I should be the one who obtains that kind of power! Its
my sacred birth-rite!" thought Tatu. Tatu's had a violent rage within his soul but he
held it back knowing that he had to work with the Warlock and the others to destroy Lord Zeal the tyrant who had slaughtered his people. After a little long
Ungar made an announcment. Stating that there was something that he was tasked
from keeping secret under orders from Ebisu that he had known for some time but
Master Musashi had convinced him that it was time to reveal the truth. He began to
speak up about this long-held secret. "First off, Daniel I'm sorry. I should have
told you much sooner." Said Ungar. "Told me what? What are you talking about?"
said Daniel. "I'll explain." Said Ungar.
Ungar began to speak one more;"Some centuries ago Ebisu had a child with
a Chinese peasant woman, a human and a mortal who bore him a son half God
and half mortal. The name for the boy was Zhin-Lu but his actual name would be
'Iblis.' Everyone began to shout about how its even possible that didn't know until
now that Iblis was the son of Ebisu. "Until now Ebisu has kept it a closely guarded
secret only his chief-advisors knew off this fact including myself. The boy
eventually grew up and unlike his mortal would live for countless Eons before
finally perishing. After his mother died he left Feudal China and traveled to the
realm of the Gods meeting with Sun-Wukong the Monkey King and Tripitaka who
helped him find his father. It should be noted that this was many centuries before I
met Ebisu, I have never meet his son Iblis and I can only tell you what Ebisu has
said about him. I cannot give any first-hand accounts. According to Master Ebisu,
Iblis was a troubled boy.
Constantly questioning if mortals should be allowed to exist or at the very least allowed to have free-will. Was it not better to have their
destinies decided by Providence alone? This was what he always asked Ebisu. But
Ebisu consistently pushed back stressing that all life was sacred and that freedom
was the most sacred thing in this world; for if men weren't free they're would be no
point to living. The two were always at odds and even though Ebisu loved his son
Iblis became more and more hostile of his father. Eventually Iblis began to lie to
other Celestial Beings that his father in fact held these views and that his father
had begun to apparently feel these things after the death of his mother who he
loved and as a consequence of him being devastated by her death began to adopt a
more nihilistic mindset. At this point the two were openly condemning the other,
father and son condemning each other of the same crime. The crime of calling for
the end of all mortal life in the Cosmos. This became so bad that it was taken to the
court of the Jade Emperor. It was eventually decided that Iblis was guilty and Ebisu
was telling the truth. Iblis's punishment was to live the next 100,000 years trapped
in a stone tomb in the Underworld. That's where Iblis is today and is remained but
in his absence his followers began a century-long journey to bring him back from
the Underworld and cleanse the world of the living. And that is what Lord Zeal is
trying to achieve the resurrection of the Dark Lord Iblis." Everyone was stunned
but they couldn't believe this. This entire time Iblis the being that were working to
stop from being brought back and destroying the world was the son of the very
entity that put sent them on this quest.
"There's more." Said Ungar. Everyone turned around in shock. "Centuries
after Iblis was banished Ebisu eventually found love again.
Another human woman
but this time from the Western World in the 21st century. This occurred several
decades ago, the two had a child. What I didn't tell you Daniel is that you were
that child... you're mother told you that you're father walked out of the house but
that was a lie. You are the son of Ebisu. And I knew it from the second I met you. In
fact, I knew it from the day you were born because Ebisu was beside himself with
joy. He declared openly that now he would have a second chance to be a better
father than he had been to your half-brother Iblis and raise this child to be a good
man, maybe even raise him to be a 'Junzi.' When you're mother died of cancer it
crushed him and he wanted to make sure you were safe so he brought you to this
world and knowing your potential picked you as the next Gate-Keeper... Well now
you know the truth..." said Ungar. There was a long silence a deafening silence and
than a roaring laughter. It was Daniel. He was laughing histerically. "You know you
had me for a second you told me the part that was true about Iblis and than you
added the fantasy about me being Ebisu's son at the end. I got to say. Not a bad
prank." Said Daniel. "Its not a prank Daniel it's the truth." Said Ungar. Daniel
began to laugh again this time even harder but there was a hint of denial in his
laughter that was broken by Tatu. "LISTEN YOU IDIOT THE WARLOCK'S
TELLING YOU THE TRUTH! You honestly think that when there's this much at
stake he would just prank you like this. I thought I had no respect for the Tin-Can
but clearly even I have more respect for him than that.
I would say you're a fool but
I know you just don't want to believe it but you better shut up and accept it! You're not the only who has to deal with trauma, my entire-race was ripped from this
world you little shit! So do us all a favor and take this seriously Elf! Will you do me
and the rest of us that simple kindness Elf?! Or is it better to just laugh it off likes it
some kind of ridiculous joke?! Frankly I'm tired of this and you need to grow up
you foolish child!" said Tatu. After this there was a long silence and than Daniel
said. "He's right. Who I am fooling I know it's the truth. I should have known.
People told me I was special, I was the new Gate-Keeper. But now I know the truth
it was nepiticism pure and simple!" said Daniel. "Daniel please!" said Ungar.
"Shut up! This whole time I thought you were my friend Ungar but you sat there
and lied to me telling me I was special. I never really believed it but I trusted you
because you seemed to have your heart in the right place. But now I know I was
wrong. The first day you met me when I woke up in the woods you should have
defied your orders and told me that I was going to meet my real-father what was he
going to do to you if you did that kill you? We both know that's impossible
Ungar..... I'm sorry everyone I'm not the great warrior you were promised. Zaiyal
you were right about me the whole time I was skeptical of the claims and I always
put stock in your claims but its official now, you are the better natural warrior. And
to everyone Zaiyal, Sarai, Tatu, Jr. and everyone else. I'm sorry. I'm going to leave
now.
You'd be better off without a false prophet dragging you down." Said Daniel. "Daniel stop!" said Ungar. "OR WHAT?! Just face it! I'm a child! Its why
you never told me the truth and its why I'm storming off like I am right now. I
should just accept it. To everyone else, good luck. I hope one day we can be comrades again. Until than, good bye friends." Said Daniel. After saying this
Daniel took off. Sarai snarled and said; "Good going Tatu, you pushed away the
one person who could help us defeat Zeal." Said Sarai. Tatu responded in kind; "I
just said what needed to be said." Said Tatu. "Someone has to bring him back. We
can't lose Daniel. He needs to find the Spirit-Blade!" said Ungar. "Don't worry
Ungar. I'll bring back the Elf! Just give me some time." Said Zaiyal.
