Chapter 2:The Unspoken Cries
Nisa's eyes still look tired today. She couldn't sleep at night. Sitting by the window, she stares outside - everything seems so normal, yet no one can see the strom inside her.
From the kitchen, her mother calls,
"Nisa, come have breakfast."
She replies, "Coming," but there is no life in her voice.
On the way to college, the streets are crowded as usual. Friends are laughing and chatting. But Nisa feels trapped in a different world. She can't share her thoughts with anyone. Because she knows people may listen, but they don't understand.
While the teacher is explaining something in class, Nisa's mind drifts away. The words from last night keep echoing in her head," You are never enough....."
Who said it? Maybe no one .Maybe it's just the fear inside her.
Suddenly, Riad asks from beside her, " Are you okay?"
Nisa gets slightly starled and replies, "Yes, I am fine."
But she knows the truth, she isn't okay.
At the end of the day, she stands in front of the mirror at home and looks at herself. The pain hidden in her eyes is clear.
She slowly whisper,
"Am I really this week?"
It feels like everyone is fighting their own battles, but no one shows it . Everyone silently endures.
That is what, "Silent Lives, Hidden Battles" truely means.
That night, Nisa opens a diary. On the first page, she writes -
"From today, I will write my truth. Maybe no one will read it, but I want to understand myself. "
Her hands trembles slightly, but she doesn't stop.
Because within this silent struggle, perhaps her true strength is hidden.
