Luna was absent today and I was absolutely losing it being bored. Why? Because we were supposed to have a substitution for the last 3 periods but none of them came, and since I always lose my sleep trying to goggle between managing two companies and my mission, I decided I'd get a jump on my assignments so that I could get some rest at night like a normal person. In case you're wondering no- I'm NOT a normal person.
I was halfway through the calculus hw when I felt a pair of eyes staring at me with the intensity that could have powered half the city. Kiefer. Of course it was him.
"What?" I asked not looking up from the assignment.
"When are you paying me back? With what are you paying me back?" He asked, making me frown in confusion
"What the heck are you talking about?" I asked.
"I helped you clear your name didn't I? Aren't going to pay me back for that?" He asked. I aldready had a bad feeling about where this conversation was heading, because his eyes were having a michevios glint to it. The kind that promised trouble.
"Money? Hell to the no. I'm not paying you money."
"Maybe you can pay me with something else." He said staring at my chest. My temper flared. Gago!
"Idiot! What is wrong with you?" I said crossing my arms above it.
K- "Relax! I'm joking around! I'm just messing with you. Just pay me with food."
J-"Until when?"
K- "until graduation."
So stubborn.But he HAD helped me. Might as well return the favour. Besides, I don't like keeping debts. Long story.
I just nodded at him and he looked like he won the lottery. So starved is he now. Suddenly I remembered my plans to go to his house to visit hi- Luna. Luna- definitely Luna. Not him.
K- "you're still coming to our house today? Luna isn't home. She's gone to London to run an errand."
J- " Is that why she isn't present today? But I was finally going to meet your brothers! I was exited with all the things she said about them."
K- "you can still come. She'll be back by 8. Come join us till then." He seemed hesitant now. Almost as if he was scared I'd tease him about it. I resisted the urge.
J-"no need if you're so reluctant."
K-"I'm not. I want you there." Heat rushed to my cheeks as I could practically see it flaming. I looked away but I'm pretty sure he noticed. How do I know? Because he let out a low real chuckle that made my heart flip.
J-"I'll be there. Thanks." I replied sounding shocked even to myself. Because I was.
