Synopsis
Titania is a world that once was ruled by giants, but after a great war between them, giants no longer remain except for the sole inheritor of their power; The Titan. Now, the world is rich in an energy called “Natural Energy,” giving all access to magical powers should they be dedicated enough. Many species fill the continents and practice utalizing Natural Energy, creating a thriving and healthy world, but at the same time dangers lurk that are caused by this very energy. Titania follows two split perspectives, alternating between two viewpoints in this vast world. The first perspective takes place in the Eastern Continent in the capital known as “Giant’s Helm.” Here, Theodore Reinis, an aspiring Archeologist who loves to study “Natural Energy,” pursues his scholarly aspirations to be like his father, but Theo encounters a horrible accident, and comes out as a completely different person. On the Northern Continent, we follow the viewpoint of Vivian Criab, daughter of Duke Criab in the Kingdom of Eonis. Vivian has just challenged her elder brother to a duel, and won the right to be the heir of house Criab, however an unfortunate circumstance removed any chance of her becoming the heir to the Criab family ever. Follow Theodore the Fortunate on his journey from archeologist to Hero, as he studies the mystery of the changes to his body, and the layers of forgotten history associated with it. Follow Vivian the Deprived on her journey to understand the struggles of her people, as she seeks revenge on those who have wronged her, while trying to also save as many people as possible. Watch as these two starkly different characters change the world around them, and change as people themselves. The journey ahead of each of them is only forged by their decisions, the question is; will they make the right ones?

Chapter 1 - Prologue: History of Titania

The source of all time is life, and the source of all life is energy. Time has existed since the first signs of life, but for the planet we call Titania, it has existed since the birth of the first giant; Uelaylee.

Thousands, maybe even millions of years ago, Uelaylee was born into this world as the Giant of Nature. She walked across the planet, and through through realms, spreading about her will as life was born beneath her feet. Trees grew into forests, and forests grew into eco systems. Nature had been born to its mother.

As Uelaylee walked and spread her embrace, so too did many other giants. Mountains rose from the flat ground, oceans began to sink the land and cover the vast majority of the earth, the sky began to move and change, and day and night began to flow. Every bit of life can be contributed to the giants, for they came first and paved the way for all life that follows, but this story isn't about how they created Titania, it's about how they died to make it what it is today.

Before we get to the main topic, there are a few notes to be reviewed. With the appearance of giants, other creatures were born too. The oldest creatures, and rivals of the giants are dragons. Giants were known to change the world around them, bringing about new concepts and ideas that encompanied their will and power, meanwhile dragons were known to enforce their power onto these creations, and all byproducts from them, bringing about further change. However, despite the tyrannical behavior of dragons, the giants never fought them, for 1 giant could kill hundreds, or even thousands of dragons.

As the giants walked and formed the world, the dragons took what they left behind, and formed kingdoms and nations. This era is known as the "Human Ruling Era," the time when dragons were everywhere, and giants walked around all the realms. Under the guidance and control of dragons, humans were gifted powers and controlled the world around them, allowing all dragons to spread their might.

While humans had the guidance of dragons, across the realms many creatures were still developing basic societal structures. Settlements of Dwarves began to appear in mountain populated areas, Elves and beastkin began to fill the forests, and merfolk filled the waters. Meanwhile, humans and their leaders, Dragonkin, occupied a majority of all land, suppressing these developing societies with their sheer strength and numbers.

As humanity developed their worship of dragons, and drew strength from them, the other species suffered as they weren't granted strength. Instead, they turned towards faith, and began to worship the giants as gods. The elves worshipped Uelaylee, the giant of nature, the dwarves worshipped Eogabii, the giant of mountains, and the beastkin worshipper a diverse array of giants depending on their environment. However, the giant merfolk worshipped was Oasenus, Giant of the ocean.

While all giants were peaceful, and avoided conflict, seemingly lacking the ideals that humanity or dragons had, Oasenus was different. He was a conquerer by nature, and despite the fact he held a majority of Titania's surface in water alone, he wanted more.

Oasenus began to view sea life and the ocean as superior to land. It possessed an immense diversity that land lacked, and it had far more might, capable of surviving harsher conditions, and building populations much faster. Oasenus's beliefs of superiority began to spread through the merfolk, who worshipped him like a god and king, and conflict began to spread.

Over the course of years, humanity and merfolk began to battle. As humans attempted to expand into the ocean, merfolk pushed them back, and tried to claim land. The resulting battles brewed an intense rivalry between the two species, and began to infuriate dragons, who already despised giants. The dragons were quick to act, and began utalizing their abilities to produce volatile effects from their bodies, slaughtering thousands of merfolk every day.

As thousands of merfolk began to die everyday, Oasenus began plead to his kin, begging for assistance in defending his people, but they remained neutral in this feud, cautioning him that it wasn't worth the effort to defend the lesser species. This slowly built a resentment in Oasenus, as he grew defiant of his kin, and began to despise their peaceful stance. Soon, Oasenus engaged in battle himself.

For the next few years, it is said the moon was pulled closer to earth than ever before, barely stopped by Airenis, the giant of lunar forces, as he had to actively fight against the tides of Oasenus's wrath!

Oasenus began to engage in large scale battle with the dragons. As the dragons wiped out his settlements of merfolk, he flooded the lands and wiped out settlements of humans, erecting tides so high the giants were forced to expand earth's atmosphere, and hold the moon in place, while preventing the sun from being eclipsed. Large scale catastrophes spread across the planet.

While his kin struggled to control the damages he was causing, dragons began to relentlessly attack Oasenus, and he began to slaughter them with his might. Such a display of strength brought repercussions onto the planet and land, as many died. Not just humans, but merfolk, dwarves, elves, and beastkin all perished rapidly. Soon it became apparent to the giants that they needed a way to stop their kin, or else all life except them would be wiped out.

Seeing the struggles of the lesser species that worshipped them, the giants began to enact aid of their own, electing leaders among various tribes and societies, and imparting special knowledge to these leaders. This knowledge allowed all species to tap into the very energies that birthed giants; Natural Energy.

Natural energy is what gave birth to the giants, and what they not only controlled, but created. Similarly, dragons are creatures born with the ability to produce their own forms of natural energy, and as a result they tend to be very diverse. Unlike dragons or giants, lesser species could not create natural energy, they can only control it. The sole exception to this is Dragonkin, who can create their own energy, but they can only control it through special methods, in select forms.

With these newfound powers, over the course of years societies were able to survive due to using natural energy to shield against the catastrophes brought about by the war. While the giant and the dragons raged non-stop, societies began to thrive in a violent world, and grow stronger, even surpassing the might of humans and merfolk, whose leaders were far too distracted and violent to allow for innovation.

With time, Oasenus became heavily aware of the weakness of merfolk, and the ocean civilizations. His rage extended further, and the feelings he felt towards his kin very quickly turned to hatred, as he felt betrayed.

Oasenus, with his newfound rage, began to teach warriors in his armies the same methods to utalize natural energy, this had been something he hadn't done until now, for he didn't wish to lose his status as "godlike" due to giving mortal beings powers that could one day rival his own. However, he was forced to, or else he was sure to lose the upcoming battle. Soon, tragadey struck the world.

Oaruader, The Giant of Sand, was a giant renowned for his large dark figure, and catlike appearance. He would often submerge himself deep beneath deserts, leading early beastkin civilizations to build landmarks to depict where he had been. In modern day these are known as pyramids.

Any and all sand could be linked to Oaruader having been involved, as his creation of sand contributed greatly to the rock cycle, even with that cycle naturally creating sand, the world still needed assistance every once in a while.

While Oaruader was creating a new beach in the world, he was interuppted by the tides, as his brother, Oasenus rose from the depths of the sea. Oaruader was then violently struck down by his brother, as his very essence was absorbed, and the power of the sands was absorbed by Oasenus.

Oasenus knew the ocean was filled with much sand, and beaches were the home of many kinds of merfolk, so the moment he saw a chance, he struck his brother down and stole the power for himself, that way his control would increase.

Suddenly, the worlds balance was disrupted, and shifted towards the favor of the ocean, as its very own ruler became the first ever creature to wield the power of two giants. Many giants began to feel immense emotions that were foreign to them. Some felt wrath that their brother was slain, others felt fear for their own life, but many felt greed. With the realization that you could claim your own kin's power, a horrible amount of bloodshed began to spill.

Over the course of many years, giants caved to fear, as they began to attack their own siblings and attempt to absorb more power. Some giants retreated deep into their own territory, while others sought their kin in an attempt to become strong enough to oppose Oasenus. Dragons, the only contenders to oppose giants, began to quickly retreat into many corners of the world to avoid these bloody battles, and humanity was abandoned. As the giants fought, societies and civilizations were wiped out, and the world itself began to break.

While the world was reaching its breaking point, many giants began to see their effort be destroyed by their own siblings. They felt sadness, and intense pain, as nature was being stripped from the world, and the world itself was being damaged. The world was set on a course to be destroyed, until one giant stood up to speak out to all his kin.

Through the mountains and the rocks of the world, the voice of Eogabbi, the mountain giant began to reach even the depths of the ocean, as his words were spoken to share this planet.

"Brother's, Sister's. We fight our own kin, and destroy our own home. The home have built is being destroyed by us, its constructor. We must cease the fighting amongst ourselves at once! For that, I have a proposal."

"Over these many years of battle, we have learned that our power is not our own. This power can be stolen, so too can it be shared. I propose each of us take a part of our power, and place it somewhere most dear to us on this planet."

"While our power is hidden, we will each form armies, allowing the mortal species to remake their societies. These armies and societies will fight in place of us, dictating the flow of the world in our place."

"I know fear has consumed you, and greed has taken away all sense of individuality, but if we fight we will all die, so it is best we each see who among us has the best followers. The very thing that started this will end this."

"As I know you, my own kin who are no different than me, I have already taken the liberty to submerge myself deep within the home of my people. I will rest here until someone either claims my power, and sets it free for another giant, or until I am awoken by the influx of power from you, my kin. I know you too will do the same, because none of us are truly different."

These words that were spoken by Eoggabbi were much more than a proposal, they were a pact. By acceptance these conditions, every giant was instantly cast into a slumber, as their energy left their body and they fused with the earth, leaving behind nothing but a capital for the world to build around.

Over the course of hundreds of years, the survivors of these catastrophic battles were able to recover their species with the energy left by the giants. They harnessed great power, and many civilizations formed, but the most powerful of the two factions were Eogabii's faction, composed mostly of humans and dwarves, and Oasenus's faction, composed of all kinds of merfolk.

In the center of the eastern continent is the tallest mountain range, and at the very center of this mountain range is the ever standing bastion of "Giant's Helm."

Giant's Helm progressed far faster than other civilizations, remaining inside their impenetrable mountain range, and utilizing the abundance of natural resources to grow technology. The brilliant minds of dwarves, the leadership of humans, and the power of the mountain giant blended together to create an impenetrable defense. This defense destroyed the armies of many who tried to breach it, and allowed it to last all throughout the war.

The very depths of the ocean, in the deepest reaches furthest from land, were filled with large colonies of Merfolk who guarded the resting point of Oasenus. These Merfolk were ruthless warriors who manipulated the tides, and invaded streams, attacking all land dwellers and slaughtering hundreds of civilizations.

These two starkly different armies served as the two contenders to win, with their only competition being "Harmony," the land of nature. This foe that could've opposed them was uniquely fallen, as Uelaylee, The Giant of Nature, breached the pact and rose from her slumber early. Instead of giving her power to her kin, she opted to spread it through the entire world, and gave birth to a child now known as "The World Tree."

The War has many notable battles, but not many possess accurate accounts, however the final battle is the most telling.

After hundreds of years, the only two remaining forces were armies of Oceanus and Eogabbi. These two forces lacked the means to engage each other, and had defeated all the other opponents, resulting in two powerful armies. However, while Oceanus's army used might to conquer, Eogabbi's used weaponry and intelligence, building counter forces.

As the end of the war approached, the merfolk began to invade the eastern continent by creating canals and underwater tunnels. The end was approaching, and the final assault was drawing near.

On the day of the final assault, the merfolk attacked from all sides, raising large tsunamis and flooding the area, using the mountains to trap the water inside the nation. A brutal struggle broke out that lasted weeks, and would've gone on for months, as they struggled to break the defenses of Giant's Helm, but Giant's Helm struggled to retaliate.

While the merfolk attacked the land, a lone warrior left and traveled to the deepest parts of the ocean, where he struck their capital.

A lone warrior, armed with nothing but the power of the mountains, raised the capital, and wiped out most of merfolk civilization. He then dug through the depths of the ocean, and claimed the essence of the ocean giant, and all the giants he had slain.

While the assault on Giant's Helm was happening, everyone witnessed a miracle. The sky was said to split, and the raging oceans were said to have calmed. The bloodshed came to a stop, as every living being alive saw the transformation of the natural order around them.

The air filled with illustrious threads, threads that were like nature itself unraveling. These threads were a multitude of colors, but each one extended infinitely, its color slowly fading into a clear color that we all know as reality.

The Nation of Giant's Helm suddenly found itself free of invaders, as the water and damages all faded away. The ocean settlements crumbled, and thousands of years of merfolk history were lost due to defeat. The world shook, as mysteries were buried behind war, and a new era began.

A lone warrior in the depths of the ocean felt his body get filled with vigor, and he watched the kingdom around him filled with bodies turn to sand in the ocean. He then found himself at home, among his people.

He glanced up into the sky, and witnessed a miracle, as he saw millions of brilliant lights ascending and blotting out the sky. Everyone recognized these lights as souls, an inherit understanding gifted to them.

Peering past the souls, everything could see what looked like the outline of a human body, one that overlapped with everything, and absorbed the souls into its body.

Two words filled everyone's head;

Titan.

God.

Everyone knew, Eogabbi was no more. There were no more giants. All that remains is The Titan. God.
