The chamber was no longer silent.
Even in a place where elements should not exist—
The air moved.
Not wildly.
Not uncontrollably.
But… intentionally.
Elian stood at the center, his hand slightly raised. The faint current of wind circled him—not as something separate, but as something that belonged.
Lyra watched with disbelief.
"…that shouldn't be possible."
Kael remained calm.
"…and yet, it is."
Elian slowly closed his eyes.
"Aeris…" he whispered.
The response was immediate.
The air tightened.
Not exploding.
Not surging.
But gathering.
Like it was waiting for direction.
Elian's heart pounded.
"…so this is what it means…"
The wind wasn't guiding him anymore.
It was listening.
"Then…" he said quietly,
"…move."
A sudden burst of force shot forward—
BOOM.
The air slammed into one of the pillars across the chamber, cracking its surface instantly.
Lyra flinched.
"…okay—yeah—that's definitely not normal."
Elian opened his eyes, surprised.
"…I didn't even push that hard…"
Kael stepped closer.
"…because you're no longer forcing it."
A pause.
"…you're commanding it."
Elian looked at his hand.
"…commanding…"
The word felt heavy.
Dangerous.
Powerful.
The wind whispered—
"…careful…"
"…a command carries weight…"
Elian nodded slightly.
"…then I'll choose carefully."
Kael crossed his arms.
"Good," he said.
"Because if you lose control now…"
A brief pause.
"…it won't just hurt you."
Elian exhaled slowly.
"…then let's test it properly."
Lyra raised an eyebrow.
"…test it… where exactly?"
Before anyone could answer—
The chamber trembled.
CRACK.
A deep sound echoed through the structure.
Kael's eyes narrowed.
"…something's wrong."
Elian looked around.
"…don't tell me this place is breaking…"
Another crack.
This time—
Louder.
The floating structure above the pedestal began to distort, its shape becoming unstable, flickering faster than before.
The air grew heavy again.
Not like before.
Worse.
"…it's reacting to you," Kael said.
Elian frowned.
"…to me?"
The wind stirred uneasily.
"…this place… does not accept change…"
Suddenly—
The ground beneath them shifted.
A low rumble spread through the chamber as something began to rise from below.
Lyra stepped back.
"…okay yeah, I officially don't like this place."
From the shadows between the pillars—
Figures emerged.
Not hunters.
Not the same as before.
These were different.
Their forms looked like broken fragments of stone and air fused together, unstable, constantly shifting like they didn't fully exist.
"…guardians," Kael said quietly.
Elian tensed.
"…of this place?"
Kael nodded.
"…and you just triggered them."
The guardians moved.
Slow at first.
Then suddenly—
Fast.
One lunged toward Elian.
He reacted instantly.
"Aeris."
The air surged.
He raised his hand—
The incoming attack—
Stopped.
Mid-air.
Lyra's eyes widened.
"…you froze it?!"
Elian's expression sharpened.
"…no."
A slight movement of his fingers—
The force shifted.
Then—
CRASH.
It slammed sideways into the wall, shattering part of the stone.
"…I redirected it."
Kael watched closely.
"…good."
More guardians approached.
This time—
All at once.
Elian stepped forward.
No hesitation.
No fear.
"Aeris."
The wind answered instantly.
A powerful surge exploded outward, pushing the guardians back, distorting their forms as if they were struggling to maintain shape.
But they didn't fall.
They adapted.
"…they're learning," Lyra said.
Elian clenched his fist.
"…then I'll be faster."
He moved.
For the first time—
Not reacting.
But attacking.
The air bent sharply around him, propelling his body forward at incredible speed.
He appeared in front of one guardian—
And struck.
The force of compressed wind shattered it instantly.
BOOM.
Fragments scattered into nothingness.
Elian landed, breathing steady.
"…one."
The others didn't hesitate.
They closed in.
Faster.
Stronger.
Elian raised both hands.
"Aeris!"
The chamber exploded with motion.
Wind surged in every direction, colliding with the guardians, tearing through their unstable forms one by one.
CRASH.
BOOM.
SHATTER.
Within seconds—
Silence returned.
The guardians—
Gone.
Lyra stared.
"…okay… I'm officially impressed."
Elian exhaled slowly.
"…I'm just getting started."
Kael turned away slightly.
"…good."
But his expression—
Was serious.
"…because that was the easy part."
Elian frowned.
"…what do you mean?"
Kael looked toward the entrance.
"…they felt that."
A chill ran through the air.
Even inside the chamber—
Something beyond it—
Had noticed.
The wind whispered softly.
"…they are coming…"
Elian's eyes hardened.
"…then let them."
For the first time—
He wasn't just surviving.
He was ready.
