Day 1
I woke up late.
Like… really late.
The kind of late where even the sun is judging you.
I stared at the ceiling.
Peace. Silence. No drama.
…Suspicious.
The door opened.
"Alive?" Percy's voice.
I groaned. "Barely."
He walked in, holding a glass of water. "Good. That means you can eat."
"I'm not hungry."
"You're eating."
"I said—"
"You're. Eating."
I stared at him.
"…You're annoying."
"And you're dramatic. Get up."
I rolled out of bed like my life was ending.
Downstairs, Jare was already sitting there like a statue.
I dropped into the chair. "Do you ever blink?"
"Yes."
"I've never seen it."
"I blinked yesterday."
I paused. "…That's concerning."
Percy snorted behind me.
Jare ignored both of us.
We started eating in silence.
Then Percy leaned over. "You eat like you're mad at the food."
"I am mad at the food."
"What did the food do?"
"Exist."
Percy laughed.
Jare… actually almost smiled.
Almost.
Day 2
I sat on the balcony, doing absolutely nothing.
Percy leaned on the door. "You've been staring at that tree for ten minutes."
"It's a nice tree."
"It's the same tree from yesterday."
"Still a nice tree."
He sighed. "You need help."
"I have you. That's already a problem."
"Ouch."
Jare stepped outside, standing next to me.
"You'll go back tomorrow," he said.
"Yeah."
"You ready?"
I shrugged. "Do I look ready?"
Percy answered immediately. "No. You look like you're about to fight someone."
"Good."
Silence.
Then Percy added, "Just don't get expelled."
"No promises."
He groaned.
Jare just shook his head slightly.
I stood up.
"Two days is enough," I said.
Percy muttered, "Here comes the chaos."
I glanced at him.
"No," I said calmly.
