Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: The Girl with Crimson Eyes

🌙🐺🧛 *Chapter 2: The Girl with Crimson Eyes*

The final bell rang loudly through the halls of Haneul High School.

Students quickly packed their bags, chatting about homework, clubs, and weekend plans. The hallway soon filled with the sound of footsteps and laughter.

But inside Class 2-A, one person remained seated quietly.

Kang Jae-Min.

He sat by the window, watching the sky slowly change color as the sun began to set behind the tall buildings of Seoul.

Orange light filled the classroom.

Yet Jae-Min's mind wasn't peaceful.

Not after what happened earlier.

Not after her.

His fingers tightened slightly on the desk.

Kim Ara…

The moment their eyes met earlier, something inside him reacted.

Something wild.

Something ancient.

His wolf instincts.

And wolves only reacted that way for two reasons.

Danger… or destiny.

Jae-Min sighed and stood up.

"Maybe I should just go home," he muttered.

But the moment he stepped into the hallway…

A strange scent reached his nose.

His body froze.

His eyes sharpened instantly.

That scent again.

Cold.

Sweet.

Like winter mixed with blood.

His heart beat faster.

He slowly turned toward the staircase.

Standing there…

Was Kim Ara.

She was leaning calmly against the wall, her long black hair falling softly over her shoulders.

Her crimson-tinted eyes looked directly at him.

Almost as if she had been waiting.

For him.

Jae-Min frowned slightly.

"You're blocking the way," he said calmly.

Ara didn't move.

Instead, she tilted her head slightly and studied him carefully.

"So…" she said softly.

"You're the new student."

Jae-Min raised an eyebrow.

"You noticed."

Ara smiled faintly.

"It's hard not to notice someone like you."

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Especially when your scent is so… unusual."

Jae-Min's eyes hardened.

So she knew.

Or at least suspected.

He stepped a little closer.

"And what about your scent?" he replied quietly.

Ara's smile grew slightly.

"Mine?"

Jae-Min's wolf instincts growled inside his mind.

"Yeah," he said.

"It smells like death."

For a moment…

The hallway became completely silent.

Then Ara chuckled softly.

"Interesting."

She pushed herself off the wall and slowly walked closer.

Each step she took made the air feel colder.

Students passing in the distance suddenly hurried away without understanding why.

Ara stopped just one step away from him.

Her red eyes glowed faintly.

"A werewolf… in this school," she whispered.

"So my guess was right."

Jae-Min's jaw tightened.

"And you're a vampire."

Neither of them looked surprised.

Because both already knew.

For centuries…

*Werewolves and vampires had been enemies.*

[3/8, 5:55 AM] null: Natural rivals.

Predators that rarely trusted each other.

Yet somehow fate had placed them in the same classroom.

Ara crossed her arms.

"So tell me, Kang Jae-Min…"

"Why would a werewolf come to Haneul High?"

Jae-Min looked away toward the window.

"Same reason you did."

"To live quietly."

Ara stared at him for a moment.

Then suddenly…

Her expression changed.

Her eyes narrowed sharply.

"Did you feel that?" she whispered.

Jae-Min immediately sensed it too.

A strange energy.

Dark.

Heavy.

Coming from somewhere outside the school.

His wolf instincts reacted instantly.

Danger.

Ara turned toward the window.

"That energy…"

Jae-Min grabbed his bag quickly.

"Come on."

Ara blinked.

"Excuse me?"

"If you felt it too," he said, already walking toward the stairs.

"Then we both know something isn't right."

Ara watched him for a second.

Then quietly followed.

Outside the school, night had already begun to fall.

The school yard was nearly empty.

Only the wind moved through the trees.

Jae-Min stopped near the back gate.

His eyes scanned the darkness.

Ara stepped beside him.

"The energy is stronger here," she said quietly.

Jae-Min nodded.

Then suddenly—

CRACK!

A loud sound echoed from the forest behind the school.

Both of them instantly turned toward the noise.

Something moved in the shadows.

Slowly…

A tall figure stepped out from the darkness.

But it didn't look human.

Its body was twisted.

Its eyes glowed red.

And its mouth opened to reveal long sharp teeth.

Ara's eyes widened slightly.

"That's not a normal creature…"

Jae-Min's wolf instincts roared inside him.

"Stay back," he said quietly.

Ara raised an eyebrow.

"You're giving orders?"

The creature suddenly charged toward them.

Fast.

Too fast for a normal human.

Jae-Min's eyes flashed golden for a split second.

His muscles tensed.

"Looks like we don't have time to argue," he muttered.

Ara's lips curved into a small smile.

"Finally something interesting."

The monster lunged at them.

And in that moment…

Two supernatural predators prepared to fight side by side.

A werewolf.

And a vampire.

But far away…

Hidden on top of a tall building overlooking the school…

A mysterious man watched everything.

His glowing eyes narrowed.

"So the prophecy children have finally met…"

He smiled darkly.

"Good."

"Let the game begin."

TO BE CONTINUE..🔥🔥🔥
