Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: convergence at sector 2

The emergency meeting hall of Second Division Headquarters buzzed with tension. Holographic projectors cast sharp light across the room, reflecting off polished walls and steel floors. The city map hovered above the central table, red zones blinking violently to mark the destruction in Sector Two.

At the head of the table stood Liora, the Captain of the Second Division. Her presence alone commanded silence. Every officer and soldier in the room straightened instinctively, as if her aura pressed down on them.

"This is not a drill," Liora's voice cut through the murmurs. "A masked figure has escalated the conflict. Sector Two is burning, and this mission falls under my command. I called the 10th Division because this is their battlefield. They have to finish it."

She paused, scanning the assembled divisions. Then she caught sight of Elias among the 10th Division members. Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Aren't you… the kid who defeated the A-Rank alien at the trial?" she asked.

Nyx raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Who knew you're a big shot?"

Elias merely nodded, calm and composed.

The room fell silent as Liora gestured toward the hologram, which shifted to display ten figures—her elite squad.

"These ten," Liora continued, her voice steady, "are the finest soldiers in the Second Division. They will coordinate with you, but know this: we move in separate formations. The 10th will find the masked man, the First will secure civilians and find out more about the glowing crates and we will provide support and keep civilians out of arms way, I will send more men to do that, but these 10 have their own mission

She began the introductions.

"Cyro," Liora said, "my vice-captain.

"Nyra,kade,Axel ,Darian,Rina, vex,Ryen".

A murmur passed through the room. Each member of the Second Division elite squad looked ready for war.

Liora turned to the 10th Division representatives: Elias, Mikasa, Nyx, Vela, Jax, Renji, Rook, Cipher, and Sloane.

"You know the situation. Sector Two is a disaster. The masked figure is dangerous, organized, and he won't hesitate. We will approach from separate flanks, but communication is critical. No one moves without coordination."

Elias nodded, folding his arms. "Understood. We'll move fast, and we'll find him."

Vela calmly tossed a chip into her mouth. "I just hope this guy likes fireworks."

Nyx's blade glimmered faintly. "Don't underestimate him. Whatever he is, he's planning something big."

Jax bounced on the balls of his feet. "Finally. A fight worth our attention."

Liora's voice cut through the chatter again. "10th Division, western approach. First Division, south to secure civilians and find out more about the crates.

Second Division, northern and central zones. Objective: isolate the masked figure and prevent collateral damage. Understand?"

Everyone nodded.

Cipher overlayed drone and satellite feeds onto the hologram. "Western approach clear. Eastern routes show collateral damage, black flames,Thermal scans indicate multiple heat signatures moving independently. Sector is unstable."

Nyx frowned. "He's using chaos to his advantage. Makes sense why he burned those crates—it's a distraction."

Elias's gaze hardened. "Whatever it is, it won't stop us."

Liora's piercing gaze swept the divisions. "Remember, the masked figure is not ordinary. Calculated, precise, and ruthless. Secure the battlefield, isolate him, neutralize him. No mistakes."

Vela calmly stood. "Calm and collected. I like it. Sounds like a challenge."

The transport sirens echoed through the base. Holo-coordinates blinked red on the map, signaling the path to Sector Two.

She turned to the 10th Division. "You know your flank. Don't cross into ours unless absolutely necessary. Timing will decide everything."

Elias nodded. "Understood. Let's move."

As armored transports rolled out, the holographic map highlighted three paths: western streets for the 10th, southern for First, northern-central for Second. Smoke, fire, and collapsed buildings filled Sector Two—but all three divisions were mobilized.

In the distance, faint flickers of black flames rose—the signature of the masked man.

All divisions knew: the confrontation would not be simple. This was the opening of a large-scale engagement, a mission testing their skills, strategy, and survivability.

The 10th Division broke off from the joint formation, taking the western route through Sector Two. Their transports moved silently, weaving through partially collapsed buildings. Elias stood at the front, scanning every alley and rooftop.

Nyx hovered a few feet above the ground, her instinct keeping her ready for quick strikes. "So we're doing this alone," she muttered, a smirk tugging at her lips.

Vela leaned back casually against the transport wall, crunching on a chip. "Good. Fewer people, fewer rules. Let's see how big our playground really is."

Renji activated the first edge of his Star Eyes, scanning the streets. Thermal readings and structural weaknesses lit up his vision. "Looks like he's prepared. Whoever this guy is, he doesn't plan to run."

Jax bounced lightly on the balls of his feet. "Then let's make sure he regrets showing up."

Kaelen shook his head with a smile. "Let's not get reckless. This isn't a one-on-one fight. Coordination is key."

Rook bent a piece of fallen metal into a temporary barricade, placing it at the front. "I'll keep the flanks clear. Don't let anything slip past us."

Cipher tapped rapidly on his tablet. "The drones indicate multiple hostile energy signatures ahead. Not just him—others are converging on the area."

Mikasa, calm as ever, drew a faint line of kinetic energy around her. "Observe first. Strike second. No unnecessary risk."

Sloane checked her medkits. "I'll keep you all alive, but don't make me overwork tonight."

Elias's eyes scanned the chaos of Sector Two for The masked figure .

Suddenly, a faint shimmer flickered in the distance.

The war in sector 2 has just begun
