Another uneventful day.
Labrynth was completely sunk into the soft sofa, her fair little feet swaying idly as the boring patrol logs scrolled across the holographic screen before her.
Another peaceful day today, not much fun at all.
She yawned, about to turn off the screen and go back to sleep, when a burning pulse suddenly surged from deep within her chest without warning.
"Mmph!"
Labrynth groaned, her small face turning red as her body involuntarily curled up.
At the same time, the holographic projection screen in front of her flickered wildly as if being interfered with.
The labyrinth map on the screen automatically zoomed in abruptly–the silver light net that originally covered the core area was now expanding outward at a terrifyingly rapid pace!
The silver glow was no longer gentle veins but had transformed into a greedy maw, devouring large swathes of the already cleared sixth floor in one gulp. It even tentatively extended its tendrils toward the deep darkness representing the unknown.
[Level Up 5 → 6]
[Talent Heart of Silver has been triggered]
[Skill Silver Castle Lord increased to LV4]
[Coverage Area increased, current radius: 1000 meters]
A series of notifications popped up before Labrynth's eyes, announcing a leap in her authority as the Labyrinth Lord!
"Radius... one thousand meters?!"
Labrynth's eyes shot wide, staring at the silver territory on the screen that had expanded by a full twofold, her small mouth forming an "O" shape.
This expansion speed was just too ridiculous!
After a moment, the burning palpitation gradually subsided, replaced by an unprecedented sense of fullness.
Labrynth spread open her palm, faint silver light swirling at her fingertips. She could clearly feel that her connection to this vast labyrinth had become closer than ever before.
Splendid!!
After a brief moment of intoxication, Labrynth immediately remembered something even more important: the skill draw after leveling up!
"Quick! Where's my wheel!"
She excitedly rubbed her small hands together, eagerly summoning the skill pool interface.
An incredibly dazzling golden wheel appeared before her, divided into countless grids of varying sizes, each emitting light of different colors.
"Give me a divine skill! Please!"
Labrynth took a deep breath, extended a finger, and forcefully spun the wheel's pointer.
The pointer spun rapidly, trailing a series of brilliant golden light trails. Finally, under her watchful gaze, it slowly came to a stop on a grid emitting a pale blue glow.
[Skill: Mind Node]
╰ The Castle Lord can designate one or more absolutely trusted individuals as secondary Mind Nodes. Connected individuals will gain partial labyrinth management permissions, including but not limited to: controlling Dolls within designated areas, adjusting traps within authorized ranges, viewing maps of specified regions, etc.
Labrynth read the skill description word by word, her breathing growing rapid.
Th-this is... the ultimate divine skill for legally exploiting workers, isn't it?! Σ(っ°Д°;)っ
With the territory suddenly expanding to a radius of one thousand meters, tasks like planning patrol routes, configuring and maintaining traps, transporting and managing resources... these miscellaneous chores had instantly multiplied exponentially, giving her a splitting headache.
And the appearance of this skill perfectly solved all the problems!
"Arianna!"
Without hesitation, Labrynth immediately called in Arianna, who had just finished reporting.
With a thought, a slender silver thread of light shot from her fingertip, connecting to Arianna's forehead.
"My… My Lord... it feels like something strange has entered my mind..."
Arianna's body stiffened, her typically expressionless, dazed look shifting slightly.
"Don't be afraid, this is proof of my trust in you."
Labrynth began painting a grand picture with a serious face, "From today onward, one percent of this labyrinth's management authority is entrusted to you. Work hard, and I'll increase it to two percent in the future!"
To fully free her own hands to handle the impending wave of massive "customer" traffic, Labrynth decided to take things a step further.
She opened the store, her gaze sweeping over the dazzling array of blueprints, finally settling on one she had used before.
[Basic Doll Modification Blueprint]
She spent Emotion Points to exchange for the blueprint, then pulled out a brand-new Pure White Doll.
Labrynth slapped this faintly glowing blueprint onto the Doll's bare chest.
Silver-white light instantly bloomed, transforming into a magical cocoon that enveloped the whole Doll.
About thirty seconds later, cracks appeared on the cocoon's surface, accompanied by a soft crack as it completely shattered.
However, seeing the scene after the cocoon, the anticipation on Labrynth's face instantly froze.
The Doll's body seemed to have become much more agile, no longer as rigid as before, but its appearance... hadn't changed at all!
It was still that faceless, pure white stone lump, standing there like a half-finished, glitched model that failed to load properly.
"Why? I created Greeny exactly the same way before. What went wrong?"
Labrynth wore an expression of disbelief as she tried to converse with the Doll.
"Can you understand what I'm saying?"
"Yes, Castle Lord."
The Doll emitted a clear but emotionless voice, its logic and reasoning perfectly fine.
Now it was Labrynth's turn to be troubled. She scratched her head, utterly perplexed.
Could it be because Greeny was the first one, so there was a newbie protection bonus? Or... does it require a higher-level blueprint?
After pondering for a long time without finding an answer, Labrynth decided to try again!
Gritting her teeth and enduring intense heartache, she spent eight thousand Emotion Points in the store to exchange for a blueprint emitting a dazzling purple-gold glow.
[Intermediate Doll Modification Blueprint]
"If I fail again this time, I'll... I'll cry for you all to see! (ಥ_ಥ)"
Labrynth summoned another brand-new Doll, took a deep breath, and forcefully pressed this expensive blueprint onto the new Doll's chest.
In a blink, a blinding golden light, ten times brighter than before, erupted.
A massive golden cocoon rose from the ground, accompanied by the majestic roar of Mana like a grand symphony, an extraordinary sight.
The moment the cocoon shattered, a silver-haired horse-girl exuding a cold, ascetic aura stepped out with elegant strides.
A pair of silver-white demon horns grew from her head, a delicate monocle rested on the bridge of her nose, and she wore a meticulously tailored black-blue butler's suit.
Her left hand steadily held a silver tray, while her right hand elegantly grasped a silver teapot, perfectly embodying the image of a butler and attendant Labrynth had envisioned.
