Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Sacrificing a Classic Supporting-Character Sibling Setup

Gotham people love stimulation!

Or you could say they like using stimulating things to stimulate their numb nerves.

Including but not limited to guns, drugs, and rock music.

Gwen's concert ignited the passion of the entire Gotham High. Even the gymnasium ceiling almost got blown off by the music and the audience's screams.

Actually, her favorite position was still behind the drums, but at a solo concert she had to take the C-position with the electric guitar.

Under the spotlight, Gwen was radiating charm!

Countless boys and girls screamed and cried uncontrollably in her magical singing and rhythm, feeling like they had reached the peak of their lives!

After the full three-hour concert ended and Miss Gwen took her final bow and left the stage, most of the students were still immersed in the rock rhythm and couldn't extricate themselves, feeling like they hadn't had enough.

"One more!"

"One more! We'll pay extra!"

"Oh shit, where did that damn woman go? Bring her back!"

"Is she a star? Does she have an album? Where can I buy the CD? Anything that can be listened to or watched!"

.........

Cross-generational pop music held fatal attraction for these young people. The hormone levels in the gymnasium had already exploded. Even after the concert ended here, they might just move somewhere else to keep the energy going until dawn.

Alpine Juvenile Detention Center would probably welcome a new batch of guests.

But none of that had anything to do with Gwen anymore. After saying goodbye to her bandmates, Gwen turned and headed to the VIP box.

Of course the gymnasium had VIP boxes. Otherwise, if school leaders came to inspect, would you make them sit with the students? Especially at an upper-class school like Gotham High—even if it wasn't necessary, they still had to set up a special one, just to look noble.

The school leaders didn't come today. Of course the ones who came were young Master Bruce Wayne and Miss Pamela Monroe, who had gotten the news and specially waited here.

The young master was completely stunned.

He was a pure-hearted boy who had never seen anything like this before… It wasn't that he didn't have money. Mainly he had been too young before, and his parents wouldn't let him watch this kind of thing. Forget rock music—he had to go to century-old art cinemas to watch literary films just to cultivate taste and temperament from a young age.

Moreover, he had never seen Gwen's wild side.

Crop-top T-shirt and ultra-short denim shorts! Plus studded little leather boots and gothic smoky makeup! How could a little boy handle that? If there weren't outsiders around, his underwear would probably be wet by now.

When Gwen returned, Miss Monroe had already disappeared, replaced by a pair of twin red-haired little beauties.

These were the young master's real cousins.

Kate Kane and Elizabeth Kane.

Legend had it that among the four founding families of Gotham, the Wayne and Kane families had intermarried in the previous generation—that is, the young master's parents. The Wayne family mainly operated… every profitable private project, while the Kane family was a traditional military family.

Miss Monroe had excellent connections. She had sold the young master's information to the Kane family and brought these two little red teddy bears.

Hmm… it was really hard to describe them with any other words. They looked delicate, petite, and cute, yet they had super fierce expressions. Little things that opened the door and barked at you—how else would you describe them?

"Liar!"

"You big liar!"

"Full of lies!"

"We've never even met you!"

"Stay away from Bruce! Otherwise I'll call my dad right now and he'll send a van full of bread men to beat you up!"

"Sell you to Shanghai!"

"Wait… why Shanghai?"

The two sisters, who had been aggressive just moments ago, suddenly froze because of the stupid younger sister's words. What fierce, dumb, and adorable little things.

Gwen walked over without hesitation, grabbed the two red-haired lolis by their heads, and gave them a round of thunderous lightning dragon drill, beating them until they were obedient and crying while holding their heads.

The young master was already in junior high, but these two were still elementary school age—too young even for juvenile detention. No need to be polite with little brats.

"How do you feel, Master Bruce?" Gwen symbolically patted nonexistent dust off her hands and smiled. "Feeling any better?"

"Much better, thank you, Gwen." The young master's gratitude was written all over his face. "You sang so beautifully. There's a magical power that makes people's hearts explode. I wanted to rush onto the stage like them and cheer and clap for you!"

That was a lie!

He was clearly being pretentious. He had come but chickened out at the last moment, not wanting to face his classmates, so he hid in the VIP box and was now being flanked by two red-haired lolis. Cheer my ass…

Gwen had originally planned to create a grand return scene for the young master, but he had chickened out first.

This was what they called man proposes, heaven disposes.

For example, these two little red teddies owed Miss Monroe a favor and had found this golden opportunity to approach their cousin—Wayne Manor had been refusing visits from relatives and friends lately. Who knows who gave them the idea. The problem was these two elementary school girls had zero womanly charm and not enough intelligence to walk into their cousin's heart and comfort his sadness.

Wasted favorability.

"This woman's expression is dangerous!"

"We should still call Dad…"

And they never learned.

Gwen smiled, grabbed the two red-haired heads, clamped them under her arms, spun 1080 degrees, and tossed them onto the sofa. She continued looking at the young master. "So, Master Bruce, besides the songs themselves, what else did you see?"

The young master looked confused. "What do you mean?"

"For example, my real intention behind holding this solo concert?"

"Uh… having fun?"

"More or less. As the saying goes, one minute on stage, ten years of practice off stage. You only saw me singing freely on stage. You don't know how hard I practiced off stage."

Gwen spread her hands. "This is the first test I'm giving you. You need to use your brain to think about my real purpose—at least reach the fifth layer."

The young master looked completely lost. After pondering for a long time he tentatively asked, "Can you at least tell me what the first layer is? Give me a direction?"

"Of course, no problem." Gwen clapped and smiled. "The first layer is making money."

Looking at the despair on the young master's face, it was clear that saying it was the same as not saying it.

"You big liar! How much money can you make from selling tickets!" Kate jumped up from the sofa, clutching her head and pointing at Gwen. "Cousin, wake up! She's seducing you! I know this routine! Have you seen Cinderella? She's Cinderella wearing pretty clothes and glass slippers! Making you have the illusion that she's a princess!"

"Gryffindor gets ten points!"

Gwen snapped her fingers and nodded in approval. "A reasonable deduction. I'll count it as correct for now. Master Bruce, you still have three layers left."
