The white light faded.
When Fujino opened her eyes once more, she was no longer standing inside the familiar Western-style Mansion.
A silent void stretched endlessly around her.
There was no sky.
No earth.
No stars.
Only an immeasurable darkness, as though she had stepped into the space that existed before creation itself.
"Interesting."
Fujino looked around calmly.
The envelope that had appeared on her desk earlier now floated before her. The elegant silver seal on its surface had already disappeared, replaced by countless flowing runes.
As she reached out and touched it, the runes scattered like fireflies.
A message entered her mind.
A newborn world has been discovered.
World classification: Undefined.
Development stage: Primordial Chaos.
Permission granted to the Supreme Administrator.
Would you like to intervene?
A smile appeared on Fujino's face.
"A newborn world..."
That was rare.
Very rare.
Most worlds within the Main God Space were discovered after they had already formed their own civilizations and histories.
A world that had not even completed its birth was something Fujino had encountered only a handful of times.
"If it's still at the beginning, then there should be many interesting possibilities."
The darkness before her suddenly trembled.
Countless streams of light gathered together.
A gigantic sphere slowly emerged.
At first glance, it resembled a planet.
Yet upon closer inspection, one could see that it had not truly formed.
Its surface constantly shifted between existence and nonexistence.
Space and time intertwined chaotically.
The laws of reality were unstable.
Even causality itself had yet to become fixed.
It was a world standing between birth and destruction.
A world waiting for someone to guide it.
"How fragile."
Fujino stepped forward.
Every step caused ripples to spread through the void.
The closer she approached, the more clearly she could sense the world calling to her.
Not with words.
But with instinct.
Like a newborn child seeking warmth.
The world desired existence.
It desired order.
It desired a future.
And because of that desire, it had unconsciously sent out a signal that eventually reached the Main God Space.
"Then let me see what kind of future you can create."
Fujino gently placed her hand against the surface of the world.
In an instant—
Boom!
A tremendous shockwave erupted.
The darkness surrounding the sphere shattered like glass.
Countless images flashed before Fujino's eyes.
Mountains.
Rivers.
Forests.
Sunlight.
Moonlight.
Life.
Death.
Civilizations.
Gods.
Monsters.
All possibilities that could exist within this world flowed before her like an endless river.
Among those countless futures, one scene attracted Fujino's attention.
A land hidden beyond reality.
A place where humans and monsters coexisted.
A paradise isolated from the outside world.
A name quietly emerged from the torrent of possibilities.
"Gensokyo..."
Fujino whispered softly.
The moment the name appeared, the future surrounding it became exceptionally bright.
Compared to the countless other possibilities, that future possessed the strongest sense of stability.
As though destiny itself had chosen it.
"Interesting."
Fujino withdrew her hand.
The countless futures vanished.
The gigantic sphere once again returned to silence.
However, a connection had already been established.
As long as Fujino wished it, she could descend into that world at any moment.
"Then let's take a look."
Her voice carried a hint of anticipation.
A world before its creation.
A future paradise of youkai.
And a history that had not yet begun.
Even Fujino found it difficult to resist such temptation.
The surrounding void began to distort.
A passage formed before her.
At the end of the passage, chaotic lightning flashed endlessly.
The aura of creation and destruction intertwined together.
Without hesitation, Fujino stepped forward.
The moment she entered the passage, the world behind her disappeared completely.
Only her faint laughter echoed through the darkness.
"I wonder what kind of surprises await me there."
The passage closed.
Silence returned.
And far away, within that unborn world, the first ripple of change quietly appeared.
