That evening, Asagami Fujino and the others took the private plane September had purchased and headed for the Persian Gulf, leaving behind only Ryusei, Qi Xiaosai, and Ryusei's three subordinates.
"Phew, they're finally gone." Ryusei leaned back on the sofa and let out a long breath. These past few days had been exhausting. He had fallen from a rich second generation to a maid, been 'killed' by Asagami Fujino with a fake gun before coming back to life, and then witnessed a New World he had never seen before through Asagami Fujino's hands. It turned out that superpowers really existed, but even after gaining power, his attempt to capture September Days had failed.
The events of the past few days were far more exciting than everything that had happened in the previous dozen or so years of Ryusei's life. Through this series of events, Ryusei's worldview had been shattered and rebuilt from scratch.
"Hey! Wake up!" Ryusei unceremoniously kicked Qi Xiaosai, who was still unconscious on the floor, specifically aiming for his face.
"Hey! What are you trying to do to my face!" Qi Xiaosai quickly opened his eyes and performed a fish-flop roll to dodge Ryusei's kick. What if he accidentally got disfigured! He had to rely on his face to make a living!
"Fine, now that you're awake, go clean up the place." Saying that, Ryusei thrust a broom into Qi Xiaosai's hands. He had been responsible for all the housework in the villa these past few days, but now that he had Qi Xiaosai, he could finally relax.
"Brother, you aren't really planning on staying here, are you?" Qi Xiaosai set the broom aside and looked at Ryusei.
"What do you mean?" Ryusei asked.
"September Days!" Qi Xiaosai grabbed Ryusei's arm. "I've already guessed September Days's next target. Are you sure you don't want to go?"
"September Days! Are you sure?!" Ryusei looked at Qi Xiaosai skeptically.
"Of course! I can swear to it!" Qi Xiaosai raised his hand and spoke with great seriousness.
"I see..." Ryusei hesitated for a moment before asking, "Tell me first, where will September Days go?"
Qi Xiaosai flipped his hair flamboyantly: "The Persian Gulf!"
"The Persian Gulf?! Why there!" Ryusei was incredibly shocked.
"Think about it. The Gusilan Artifacts here are gone. According to my information, the nearest Gusilan artifact is at a company in the Persian Gulf. I can guarantee that's September Days's target."
"But the masters are in the Persian Gulf. If they see us sneaking off there and say we've deserted our posts, it might not be something that can be settled with just a single gunshot."
This was Ryusei's biggest concern. It would be fine if they weren't caught, but he was terrified of being discovered. Ryusei could already imagine how miserable his end would be.
"Stupid! You said it yourself—it's only bad if we're caught. So, we just have to make sure we aren't caught." Qi Xiaosai smiled eerily. How could he not have considered what Ryusei was worried about? From the moment he learned September and the others were going to the Persian Gulf, he had been thinking of various possibilities and solutions. Now, he already had a plan; it just required a small sacrifice from Ryusei to solve everything perfectly.
"Hey, hey! Your smile is really weird!" Ryusei looked at Qi Xiaosai warily. That eerie smile gave him a very bad premonition.
"How could it be!" Qi Xiaosai quickly pulled back his eerie smile and put on a serious, solemn expression. "As long as you're willing to make a small sacrifice, I can guarantee they will never find out."
Ryusei frowned: "Sacrifice? What exactly do you want me to do?"
"Don't worry about that for now. Let's pack our bags and head to the Persian Gulf first." Qi Xiaosai hurriedly pulled Ryusei's hand, but the other man didn't budge.
"What's wrong? Don't you want to catch September Days anymore?"
Ryusei shook his head and scratched his hair. "Of course I want to catch September Days, but we have a problem that hasn't been solved yet."
"A problem? What problem?" Qi Xiaosai looked at Ryusei in confusion. If they didn't leave soon, it would be hard to find September and the others.
"Money!" Ryusei said weakly. "We don't have any money. To get to the Persian Gulf, we have to fly, but we can't even afford the tickets. For you, me, Bun, and the other three, that's five tickets total. I don't have that much money."
"Oh, that's all? I thought it was something serious. Don't you worry." As he spoke, to Ryusei's shock, Qi Xiaosai pulled a card from under the skirt of his maid outfit.
"Look! This is my life savings. With this, going to the Persian Gulf won't be an issue," Qi Xiaosai said proudly, flipping his hair stylishly.
"How the hell did you pull that out from under your skirt?!"
"Is that really what you're focusing on? Hurry up and pack your bags so we can leave!"
On September's private plane, Asagami Fujino retracted her Clairvoyance, a faint smile appearing on her lips. "They're coming too."
"Ryusei? He really is persistent." September seemed indifferent.
"Well, you are September Days after all. You stole the ziwei star and caused his family to go bankrupt. It's no wonder Ryusei is chasing you."
"Hey! You were the one who stole the ziwei star! I'm just the one taking the blame for you!"
"But the ziwei star is in your hands now. And even if I hadn't taken it, wouldn't you have made a move for it anyway? In the end, Ryusei would still be coming after September Days."
"Tsk, you hateful person!"
Ignoring the angry September, Asagami Fujino turned to look at April, who was sitting behind her. "April, how is your training with Sakuya going?"
"Ordinary Magic is no problem. For other spells, I just need to increase my Magic Power." April replied with a smile. Compared to when she was first abducted by Asagami Fujino, April's attitude toward her had undergone a world-shaking change. This was partly because Asagami Fujino had stopped bullying her and would occasionally flirt with her. Asagami Fujino was confident it wouldn't be long before she could sweet-talk April into bed.
"That's good. This trip to the Persian Gulf is a perfect chance for you to test your current strength."
"Okay."
"By the way, Alice, how are you feeling?" Asagami Fujino looked at Alice beside her.
"I'm fine. I can feel that the child will be born before long." Alice's face wore a radiant, maternal smile.
"What?! Alice, you're actually pregnant!"
Both September and April were extremely surprised. They were on good terms with Alice, but she hadn't told them anything about being pregnant.
"I forgot to tell you guys." Alice smiled sheepishly.
"Alice, tell me quickly, whose child is it!" September asked hurriedly, and April also nodded as she looked at Alice.
"Whose? Fujino's, of course."
"What!"
