Aijira arrived at the throne room, she saw Redrick was waiting for her.
"This here is the Emperor's permission parchment. Gather everyone of power to this hall at once."
Redrick caught the document that Aijira threw towards him and gave it a read. Upon finding out that it was a legitimate permission document, judging from how the document was written, Redrick bowed his head.
"At once, Consort."
He then ran out of the hall and started preparing.
Aijira took a look at the closing doors, before letting the whole room settle in her Ari.
She could feel the hidden guards and knights inside this room, about a few hundreds of them.
Twisting her tongue from the inside of her mouth, she spread her Ari even wider, to the point that it encompassed the entire palace.
Aijira narrowed her eyes. There were spots in the palace that she couldn't see. The entire underground basement or cellar of the palace was entirely blocked off from her senses.
Then what she presumed to be the treasure store rooms, then each of the royal family's rooms, especially Malik's room.
She could feel even more of a restriction on her senses each time she tried to pry inside.
There were other spots that she couldn't sense, those who barred her entrance to heir secrets.
A few places i have to monitor, Charlie and the others might have more work soon...
She thought to herself. Aijira's finger twitched for a moment, feeling a familiar presence in the entire palace.
Therese...
She was inside the room where the Emperor and the Empress would reside together. It seems she was preparing the entire room to match Aijira's liking.
Though im not sure how she managed to get the palace's servants to help her...
Aijira pursed her lips and turned to the ceiling.
The throne hall was at the top of the palace, at the roof was not a ceiling that covered the view of the sky, but a large glass window that bears passage to the stars above.
Looking at the dusk skies, Aijira gave it a look for a few moments.
Seeing the clouds run past them, the orange red skies, as well as the small appearances of the stars.
As she watches, Aijira felt a small tug on her heart. She stayed silent, didn't react as she continued to look up at the skies above.
Her eyes shone slightly when stars started to brighten the entire sky.
It was beautiful.
The entire scene was beautiful. Probably knew of the most beautiful things that she had seen.
Aijira couldn't help but feel emotional.
She couldn't really express this feeling to the outside, as she was taught to be that way.
So she did the only way she knew how to express her feelings.
By drowning them inside, burrying them deep within.
Aijira let out a soft sigh before turning to the Silver Throne. Looking at it, she looked down watched as runes upon runes of curses manifested in her arms, invisible runes circling her entire arm with malicious intent.
Clicking her tongue, Aijira started walking back to the Silver Throne.
Worst comes to shove, i may need to dispel every curse and hexes i have. It's a pity though, but this amount of curses and hexes are too much for me currently.
Aijira touched the Silver Throne on its arm, feeling the touch of metal, cold metal. She softly caressed the arm of the throne, admiring the beauty of the throne.
Aijira softly sat on it and leaned her head on her palm.
Letting the curses fill her body, Aijira let out a soft sigh and waited. Waited for a political battle to commence.
***
Malik stretched his arms wide, patting his neck, he let out a yawn and turned to the mountains of paper.
Pursing his lips, with a single flick of his finger, the entire room became filled with darkness.
Soon the darkness subsided and a clean room appeared in its place.
Malik grunted as he sat in his bed. It was already night time, the moon had already appeared in the skies above, as did the stars.
Engrossed in the sight of the stars, Malik let out a chuckle.
Looking towards the direction of the throne room, Malik considered joining whatever meeting his so called consort was holding.
It's probably about political power struggles in the capital and what not. Not my business.
He thought to himself.
Malik lied down on the bed, letting his body relax as he closed his eyes.
His golden hair shone even in the darkness, moonlight bounced on it as he let out a soft sigh of relief.
"..."
After a while, Malik clicked his tongue and turned to the direction of the throne room.
He could feel an oppressive presence, the presence of Ari.
His eyes narrowed into a slit as he sat up, scratching his neck, Malik stood up from the bed.
Upon standing up, darkness covered his entire body, it squirmed for a moment as he walked.
As soon as he arrived near the door of his room, Malik was already wearing a black fluffy coat and a regal uniform fit for emperors.
Checking his cufflinks, he pushed his hair up, letting his bangs rest on his forehead.
Feeling the oppressive presence become even more hostile, Malik's eyes frowned.
Is it her? The Duchess? What happened in the meeting for her to exude this kind of Ari? Did those stupid idiots say something wrong again?
Sighing to himself, he grabbed the doorknob to his door and started walking towards the throne hall.
As he walked, shadows constantly squirmed behind him, shutting off any sorts of light source as he walked with a calm stride.
The maids and servants that came across him bowed their heads calmly. But the faint shivering of their hands shows that they were afraid.
They had worked for the royal family for years now, and they knew that when the Emperor, Malik, was walking like this.
It meant one thing.
Something was wrong.
They cowered in his presence, feeling the shadows touch them curiously as they forced themselves to calm down and not ruin the emperor's already bad mood.
Malik arrived at his destination, the knights all knelt down, their heads down to the ground as he walked past them.
He could hear voices arguing from the inside, especially Aijira's.
Her voice could be heard even from outside of the throne hall.
Malik clicked his tongue silently and slowly pushed open the doors to the throne room.
Only to see Aijira on the Silver Throne, sitting on it like an Empress ready to cut off the heads of traitors.
Her red hair shone from the light sources of the room.
Malik stared at her as the room quieted down as soon as they knew of his presence.
Everyone stopped arguing and immediately knelt down. Everyone then spoke at the same time.
"We greet the Emperor."
All except Aijira, who's eyes widened in surprise.
Malik stared at her, especially her purple eyes that reminded him of something.
Something unfamiliar, yet familiar at the same time.
Aijira stood up from her throne and made a curt bow and spoke.
"I greet the Emperor."
