She could hardly fault me if Tessa's demonstration had inspired me into punching her in the face. If I was going to get punished for something, best believe I was going to ensure I earned and deserved said punishment. By the time the guards had rushed in and separated us, I had broken her nose.
"Fighting in the dorm rooms is prohibited, Mrs. Adams. I am well aware you are only just getting settled back within the school's system, but it doesn't excuse your actions. You will apologize to Ms. Graham for punching her, and then you will report to the janitor, who will explain the details of hundred hour community service."
"Community service?" Tessa and I said in unison, and then Tessa added, "She was trying to kill me! She strangled me!" She gesticulated wildly at her self-induced bruised neck for effect.
