Quote of the Chapter:
"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

The man let out a soft chuckle as he brought his hands together and clapped, the sound echoing within the chamber.
"Impressive...truly an amazing performance, with that kind of conviction in your voices…"
His gaze moved between the two of them with faint amusement, and a slightly larger smile than his previous ones was plastered upon his face.
"I must admit, it almost sounded possible."
He allowed a brief pause before he lowered his hands, fingers resting together for a moment before falling to his sides.
"That is...almost, but I'm afraid that's simply out of the question."
His eyes grew sharper as he looked at them both
"For two half-baked clones, you've done better than expected."
His gaze lingered on #1113.
"Well..at least one of you has shown to be… decent."
Then his eyes shifted over to #1110 and slightly tilted his head.
"The other's skills...remain to be seen for now."
He took a step forward with a strong yet relaxed posture.
"But I need you to understand something, don't misunderstand my actions of holding back, I am not giving you a single chance to escape, I'm merely interested in seeing how far u can go currently based on what you were born to do as the first successful experiments."
The man put one hand behind his back, raised his other one, and made a sign for them to come towards him.
"You're both staying here, and I will make sure of that."

"…So, you got a plan, or are we just winging it?"
#1113 said quietly, leaning slightly toward #1110 without taking his eyes off the man.
"Winging it."
#1110 kept his gaze forward and gave a simple shrug.
"…Great, fantastic even..."
"Cmon man, you need to relax, all we've got to do is not get hit by him."
#1113 let out a small breath and grumbled a bit.
"Yeah, that sounds simple when you say it like that...so you're taking the left or the right?"
#1110 smirked slightly and shook his head.
"Doesn't matter, just go with the flow, and just trust each other to have each other's back."
#1113 nodded once with a resigned look on his face.
"…Cool. We're definitely gonna die."
The man's smile twitched slightly as he watched the two talk, looking completely unbothered, then he coughed.
"…Ahem."
Both of them looked over, with both #1110 and #1113 raising their hands to the man.
"Uh—my bad."
#1113 chuckled a bit, embarrassed.
"Yeah. Sorry."
#1110 nodded once, not really caring too much. Then #1113 took a step forward and pointed towards the man casually.
"Listen, you might be crazy strong or whatever. Like, yeah, you'd probably win most fights."
#1110 stepped up beside him with his arms crossed.
"However..."
The two of them looked at each other for half a second before striking the meanest pose with complete seriousness and speaking in unison.
"WE ARE THE EXCEPTION!!!"x2
The chamber went completely quiet as the man stared at them with a completely blank expression on his face, with his mouth twitching slightly.
"…I see."
Then he let out a small breath through his nose, letting out something that sounded close to a dry chuckle soon after.
"…How unfortunate...I was beginning to find you entertaining, though now, I wish to see how long that confidence of yours can last before you begin to despair."
Then, without any further delay, they rushed towards each other, and the battle officially began.
#1110 moved first, he dropped low as his leg swept across the floor in a clean arc aimed to take the man's footing out from under him.
The man, however, reacted instantly and jumped over the leg sweep without looking down; however, by doing that, he left himself in the air open for attack as #1113 was already in position with his body turned, his weight shifting into the motion as he threw a right hook straight toward the man's head.
The man quickly brought up his arms in time to block the strike, but the blow still carried a lot of weight behind it. Instead of fighting against it, he used the punch's momentum, letting it push him back just enough to create distance between them.
His feet slid across the floor smoothly as he disengaged before bending down quickly, scooping up glass shards from the shattered pods, and throwing them towards the two with great strength and speed behind the attacks.
#1110 reacted first, pushing off the ground and sprinting to the right, the shards cutting through the space he had just been in.
#1113 moved the opposite way, darting left, the fragments slicing past him.
The man didn't hesitate and decided to target #1110, closing the distance immediately and beginning their clash. Their fists collided, with movements being their movements being faster than what a normal man could keep up with, as the man pressed him without pause.
Every strike came precisely, forcing #1110 back step by step. He tried his best to keep up, with the gap in experience and combat knowledge, it was difficult as hit after hit slipped through and began to accumulate on #1110.
#1110 staggered slightly, his guard breaking for a moment with a punch to the face, landing almost immediately after.
"…Tch—"
He was outmatched, clearly, and he refused to give this man the satisfaction of enjoying this nearly one-sided fight, though as the exchange continued, #1110's eyes began to glow a faint neon blue at first. Then his movements began to adjust mid-fight quickly, as another punch was thrown that was blocked semi-successfully with less difficulty this time around.
Then a follow-up blow was sent towards his side, with #1110 deflecting it away and countering with a jab to his chest, with the man taking a step back from the blow.
The man's expression shifted slightly with an intrigued look in his eyes as they continued their fight, even faster than before. Each movement from #1110 began to mirror the man's precision more closely; his mind and body seemed to be adapting in real time, correcting itself in real time with his eyes beginning to glow brighter and brighter as the fight continued as the man found it hard to look him in the eyes without it stunning him for a second as that had costed him a few blows earlier, the speed at which he was learned was surprising the man time and time again as they fought.
Meanwhile.
#1113 skidded to a stop, eyes locking onto a broken pod behind him, and he grinned and moved towards it. He grabbed it and began to lift it up with little to no effort before hefting it over a shoulder and holding it in a throwing posture, and began to dash towards the two of them to build up momentum.
While #1113 approached, #1110 quickly dropped low once more, this time with almost perfect form and timing, swiping away the man's legs to the side as he began to fall. However, before he could hit the ground, #1113 quickly stopped as he threw the pod with all his might over #1110 and into the man's body.
(CRASH!!! BANG!!!)
The impact slammed into the man's body, sending him flying across the room before he hit the wall hard enough to shake it, and the entire room shook from the impact as both #1110 and #1113 looked at each other and rushed towards the man.
#1110 spoke first.
"…Since we're already doing references—"
#1113 picked it up instantly.
"…Might as well go all the way."
The man was pinned against the wall, the broken pod pressing into him, cracks spreading further along the surface behind him. He reached up and grabbed the shattered pod that had been pressed against him, fingers tightening around its edge before pushing it off his body. The heavy mass slid aside, scraping across the floor as fragments fell away from it, and he took a slightly shaky breath with his head down before his head snapped up instantly.
#1113 and #1110 skidded to a stop just in front of him, pulling their left and right arm back, respectively, with a grin spread across both their faces. With both arms cocked back, they swung their fists at full force, their fists connecting at the same time, as the wall indented immediately from the force, and they shouted with childish joy in their tones.
(BBBAAANNNGGG!!!)
"BLACK FLASH!!"x2
The force tore through the wall behind the man, shattering it completely as his body was launched through into the hallway beyond, debris and fragments flying everywhere. Dust filled the air as only the sounds of heavy breathing and the sirens could be heard as they lowered their arms while staring at the man.
"Alright, we gotta move quick before that freak gets back up!"
Taking the opening without hesitation, they bolted through the destroyed section and into the hallway, putting as much distance between them and that room as possible. However, behind them, among the rubble, the man lay, then suddenly he chuckled lowly before he began to sit up against the wall. A small trail of blood ran down from the corner of his lip.
His eyes were closed; however, there was a full visible grin on his face from being genuinely pleased with the fight.
"…Alright,"
He said quietly.
"You two earned a head start with that performance."
He wiped the blood from his lip with the back of his hand.
"…Don't make me regret it."
A small chuckle followed before he turned and walked the other way, planning to catch them at his own pace as he realized that his usual 7 minutes wouldn't work here.
