Chapter 100
JAIME'S POV
The morning sun flooded my room, illuminating every corner, and I stretched luxuriously on my bed with a wide yawn. Ever since Wayona had planted that brilliant idea in my head, I'd felt a surge of optimism. I was practically giddy thinking about how this would play out.
A sharp knock came at the door.
"Come in," I called out. Katsha stepped inside.
"I'm here," she said. I'd summoned her earlier that morning, but I hadn't expected her to show up quite so fast.
"What time did I message you?" I asked.
"Around seven-thirty."
"Ah, it's just past eight now," I noted, glancing at the clock. "Well, no matter. I have a task for you. I need you to find beach houses near Olive High School. Check the rates—I want to know the cost for a three-day stay." I leaned back against the headboard, watching her.
"Right now?" she asked. I nodded firmly.
"Take a seat. I want the report immediately."
