It was formal, written in the standardized language of official correspondence, its characters precise and its structure exactly what the legal process required. I read it standing at my desk, still in my outer robe from the morning meeting I had just returned from, and I felt the words settle into me like stones into still water.
The Ministry of Revenue, having reviewed the formal challenge filed by the household in relation to the notation appearing in Registry Entry 442, and having examined the independent documentation submitted in support of said challenge, had determined that the notation was inconsistent with the independently verified record and should be removed. The challenge was accepted. The notation was removed, effective the date of this letter. The registration of the household stood as originally filed.
