Chapter 138 - Chapter 138: The Holy Element Wand

Once the Uru metal became a pool of silver-gray liquid, Harvey began shaping it with his telekinesis.

When a cylindrical wand body of twelve and one-third inches was formed, he inserted the Phoenix feather through the reserved opening at the top of the shaft.

Then he extinguished the Micro-Fusion Sun.

The sudden change in temperature caused the newly formed wand to emit "creaking" sounds, similar to bubbles being squeezed out from within liquid metal.

Under the thermal contraction, the reserved opening at the top of the shaft gradually fused and vanished.

After waiting for the wand to cool naturally, Harvey attempted to cast the Micro-Fusion Sun.

The miniature sun that appeared this time had a significantly higher temperature, and its power was clearly greater than before.

The brilliant light of the small sun flickered.

After several rounds of testing, he found this new wand amplified his mana by 3.7 times, far exceeding the 1.9 times of his old wand.

Harvey admired the new wand in his hand with satisfaction.

"A legendary blade for a hero; a perfect wand like this should belong to a wizard like me."

"From now on, I shall call you the Holy Element Wand!"

The reason Harvey named the new wand 'Holy Element' was because Uru metal had an extreme affinity for resonating with the elements.

When using this new wand to cast elemental magic—such as metal, wood, water, fire, or earth—the power was even greater.

Therefore, he specifically chose this name.

"With the Holy Element Wand, my strength has increased greatly once again. In the short term, relying on researching new spells to increase my power will become very slow."

"It seems it's time to pursue more Infinity Stones to elevate my strength."

Thinking of this, Harvey sat down in a chair in the laboratory, falling into deep thought.

There are six Infinity Stones in total.

Among them, he already possessed the Mind Stone and the Reality Stone.

The Space Stone was in the hands of the Avengers; it was within his reach.

But Harvey didn't want to completely burn bridges with the Avengers right now, so he planned to leave that for later.

The Time Stone was in the hands of the Ancient One, and he intended to put that off until the very end as well.

The Power Stone and the Soul Stone were both in the hidden corners of the universe, and he planned to get his hands on these two first.

"In the vast, endless Milky Way, if I don't know the specific locations, I'm afraid I could search for a lifetime and never find those two stones."

Fortunately, Harvey was "knowledgeable of all things" and knew exactly where to start.

"To get the Power Stone, I need to go to Xandar and find Star-Lord, the bounty hunter from the Ravagers."

"As for the clues to the treasure map of the Soul Stone, at this point in time, Thanos's daughter Gamora likely hasn't obtained them yet."

"Calculating the time, the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy, triggered by the Orb—which is the Power Stone—is about to begin."

"By then, Gamora will engage in a love-hate relationship with Star-Lord, eventually putting aside their prejudices to become partners in maintaining peace in the galaxy..."

His wandering thoughts drifted further and further.

For this long-distance cosmic journey, Harvey didn't plan on bringing any of the women along.

There were quite a few dangers in space, and he didn't want to bring any baggage; it would be more convenient to act alone with the freedom to advance or retreat.

The strength of Hermione and the others was still a bit too weak; they were top-tier powerhouses on Earth, but they would be mediocre in the universe.

"Fortunately, I went to Asgard and learned a lot of cosmic common knowledge; at least I know the location of Xandar, that famous neutral planet."

However, Harvey's portals could only span 100 light-years at a time.

This teleportation distance seemed very exaggerated.

But relative to the 180,000 light-year diameter of the Milky Way's galactic disk, traveling the galaxy was not going to be an easy feat for him.

"This journey might take anywhere from three to five months to a year or two."

"During this vacancy, I can't let my women be bullied by the Avengers."

Harvey had already decided to give the nine rings snatched from the Mandarin to Hermione and the others before leaving.

Once he left, the Avengers' top-tier combatant, Captain Marvel Carol Danvers, would essentially have no rival.

Without strengthening the girls, he worried that major problems would arise after he left Earth.

Having formulated the gift-giving and crash-course training plans, Harvey stroked his chin and began thinking about how to get to Xandar.

"Most of the advanced civilizations in the Milky Way are located near the Galactic Center, where massive black holes and stars are as numerous as the hairs on a cow, making it easier to acquire energy at close range."

"Xandar is also located in the Sagittarius Arm near the Galactic Center, directly opposite the Orion Arm where the Solar System is located."

"The distance between them is as high as 70,000 light-years!"

Thinking of this, Harvey felt things were a bit tricky with only a hundred light-years per jump.

Moreover, he didn't know the environment around the destination points; he could only open portals a hundred light-years away based on general direction.

One must realize that on a cosmic scale measured in light-years, a miss of a hair's breadth results in an error of a thousand miles.

Therefore, every time he opened a portal, he would have to stop and calibrate his direction.

Yet he had no technology or magic to calibrate cosmic coordinates.

If he risked the journey, he might very well get lost after a few dozen jumps.

And getting lost in the vastness of space, Harvey couldn't even guarantee if he could make it back to Earth alive.

Furthermore, on such a long journey, he would inevitably encounter many unpredictable and unexpected situations.

Although Harvey had confidence in his own strength, he wanted to find a faster and safer "means of transport" and didn't want to waste time dealing with the dangers of long-distance travel.

After all, the Marvel Universe was full of spaceships equipped with space-jump technology.

Like Star-Lord's ship, the Milano; a single space jump could span hundreds of light-years, and with star charts, one wouldn't get lost.

If he took the cosmic "highways"—the jump points of specific wormholes—the ship's speed would be even faster.

How fast?

One could cross tens of thousands of light-years in a few hours, arriving at Xandar from the edge of the Milky Way!

Therefore, Harvey was mulling over getting a spaceship for transport.

"It seems I'll have to go fleece Asgard again; as the Realm of the Gods, they surely have even more advanced starships."

Having made his travel plans, Harvey began packing the items he would take.

Things like Essence of Dittany, Skele-Gro, Invigoration Draught, Felix Felicis, and other healing and specialized potions.

He even brought along pots, pans, and seasonings.

After all, he didn't know if he would be accustomed to alien cuisine.

Anyway, with a ten-thousand-cubic-meter custom spatial bag, he could fit even more household items.

After packing his travel gear, Harvey left the underground lab and arrived at the entrance of the first-floor hall.

Hermione was currently waving her wand on the lawn outside the villa, engaging in a training duel with Cho Chang.

Both sides were using offensive spells with low lethality, such as Impedimenta, Stupefy, and the Disarming Charm, or Sectumsempra which had a counter-curse.

The leaden sky was still filled with lead-gray volcanic ash, and multicolored magical lights illuminated half of the cloud layer.

"Oppugno!"

A vortex appeared at the tip of Cho Chang's wand, continuously shooting out hundreds of magical birds that would explode upon contact with an object.
