Looking at the four people kneeling neatly by the shore, Arashi hadn't expected Trafalgar Law to make his decision so quickly.
More importantly, the moment Trafalgar Law dropped to one knee and said, "Please accept me as your disciple," the system notification appeared right on cue, informing him that the mission had been successfully completed and awarding him 3,000 Travel Points.
The fact that the system notification appeared at this moment meant that Trafalgar Law wasn't acting on a whim.
He genuinely wanted to become Arashi's disciple.
That was what surprised Arashi.
After all, this version of Law hated the world even more deeply than he did in the original story. It shouldn't have been easy for him to place his trust in someone he had never even met before.
But after thinking about it, Arashi understood.
Because of Corazon, Law had no reason to doubt him.
Everything Arashi had said were things only Law and Corazon knew, yet Arashi had spoken of them clearly and accurately. That alone was enough to convince Law that Arashi really was Corazon's friend.
Most importantly, Law's identity in the North Blue was extremely dangerous right now. One careless mistake could attract the Donquixote Family's pursuit.
Under those circumstances, Arashi coming here specifically to take him as a disciple was practically inviting trouble upon himself.
"Cough, cough..."
At that moment, Old Wolf, who had spent half the day resting aboard the Traveler, emerged onto the deck with Robin and Perona supporting him.
Looking at Law and the others kneeling by the shore, he smiled in satisfaction before turning toward Arashi and bowing slightly.
"Mr. Arashi, this old man believes they are all good-hearted children. If you could take them in, I would be endlessly grateful."
Arashi smiled.
"My purpose in coming here was precisely for this matter."
Upon hearing that, Old Wolf immediately stepped forward and shouted toward the four at the shore,
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and call him Master!"
"Master!"
Without any hesitation, Law and the other three shouted in unison before bowing deeply toward Arashi.
Looking at the four of them bowing again, Arashi leaped from the Traveler and landed in front of Law.
His expression turned serious.
"Although I agreed to Corazon's request and came here to take you as my disciple, I won't be bringing you out to sea with me."
"For one hundred days, I will teach you everything I can."
"After one hundred days, I will leave this place."
"As for how your future path unfolds, that will be your own decision."
Even though the system had already declared the mission complete and awarded the Travel Points, allowing him to leave immediately if he wished, Law had already knelt and called him Master.
If Arashi simply turned around and left now, it would be rather shameless.
Besides, having one of the future Supernovas as his first disciple wasn't such a bad thing.
As for Law's three companions?
They didn't matter.
Teaching one student was teaching.
Teaching four students was still teaching.
Meanwhile—
The Hawkins Pirates' ship, which had been fleeing from Drake's pursuit, finally managed to shake off the Marine warship after weaving through the sea for quite some time.
By sheer coincidence, they arrived in the waters surrounding Swallow Island.
"Captain, there's an island ahead!"
On the deck, a young pirate peered through a telescope at Swallow Island in the distance.
"Should we find a place around the island to hide for a while?"
"Yes."
Having just completed another divination, Hawkins answered without hesitation.
"This island will be our land of good fortune."
Hawkins's luck today was genuinely incredible.
Earlier, when Drake's warship had been closing in on them, the Hawkins Pirates had already prepared themselves for a desperate last stand.
But at that critical moment, a thick fog had suddenly rolled across the sea.
As the fog spread farther and farther, Drake's warship remained less than two hundred meters away, yet Hawkins's crew had seized the opportunity to abruptly change course and disappear into the mist.
That was how they successfully escaped.
Of course, Hawkins himself had never panicked.
His divinations had already told him that not only today, but for a considerable period of time afterward, he would continue to be favored by fortune.
And his most recent divination had revealed that this island would become his ultimate lucky place.
The pirate ship rapidly approached Swallow Island.
Worried that Drake's warship might still discover them, they circled halfway around the island before anchoring in a secluded bay.
"You all stay here."
Looking at the somewhat desolate island, Hawkins blinked before leaving those words behind and jumping directly from the deck onto the beach.
Although the divination had declared this place his lucky land, he couldn't afford to be careless.
He needed to investigate the island first.
Half an hour later, Hawkins finally spotted Wolf's Workshop standing ahead of him.
Night had already fallen.
The building was brightly illuminated, and occasional voices drifted from inside.
Seeing this, Hawkins stopped hesitating and walked quickly toward the workshop.
"Who's there?!"
The moment Hawkins appeared outside, a voice rang out from within.
Immediately afterward, Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi burst through the door.
Seeing Bepo emerge first, Hawkins blinked in surprise.
Although he found it astonishing that a bear could speak, he still politely introduced himself.
"My name is Basil Hawkins."
"Captain of the Hawkins Pirates."
Meanwhile—
Inside the workshop, Arashi raised an eyebrow when he heard Hawkins's voice.
"How did this guy end up here?"
Though surprised, he immediately called out,
"Bepo, let him in."
"Yes, Master!"
Bepo answered loudly and enthusiastically.
It was obvious that becoming Arashi's disciple had made him incredibly happy.
"Mr. Arashi?"
Following Bepo and the others into the workshop's living room, Hawkins froze when he saw Arashi.
At that moment, everything clicked into place.
As expected, his divinations had never been wrong.
The reason this island had become his lucky land was because the very same Mr. Arashi—the man who had appeared as the Wheel of Fortune in his earlier divination—was here.
"You actually escaped the Marines' pursuit. Excellent."
Arashi smiled warmly before continuing,
"Tell me, did your appearance here come from another divination?"
"Yes."
Hawkins nodded seriously.
"My divination indicated that this island would become my lucky place."
"That impressive, huh?"
Arashi's interest in tarot divination immediately increased again.
As he beckoned Hawkins over, he said,
"Come, come. Have a few drinks with me."
"And while we're at it, let's talk about tarot divination."
"I'm very interested in it."
