We arrived before everyone started lining up. I wanted to see it all before it got destroyed. I needed pictures for Mouse, and to remember later.
This was my first party after all.
Seeing everything put together, blew my mind.
The entrance was framed with wooden temple gates wrapped in prayer flags. Electric lanterns glowed a dim yellow. And hidden speakers played the sound of temple bells, whispering old haunting Buddhist chants to an EDM beat. It vibrated against my skin with each bass thumping.
My eyes widened as I took everything in.
Inside, thick fog rolled across the floor, never rising above the knee, giving the illusion that guests were walking through clouds drifting across a forgotten monastery. The ceiling all but disappeared behind layers of stretched cobwebs, the walls had cracked prayer wheels, broken temple ornaments, and hanging paper talismans stained with faded red ink.
