Anker
"I have to…!" I mutter, turning away. I was completely thrown by how she was looking at me, so I stormed out of the office.
'Go back, you have to come back, because we need to mark her.' Anton demands.
I could feel him pushing forward, trying to break free from my control. The more he pushed, the more I retaliated, keeping him shut away. I had to get out of the house.
I head towards the hospital, as I stride across the ground. I wanted to know if Theresa had told Emilia more things than she could open up to me.
She was fast asleep on the desk. She was startled when I woke her up.
"What did you say to Emilia?"
"She needs to know the truth." She said, rolling her eyes at me. "It's not fair if she doesn't know what is coming." She rubs her eyes while yawning. "Why asking, had she done a runner?"
"No, she is my office."
"Then, no harm done." She said, shrugging her shoulders at me. "If you want my opinion, she is nice, different from the other girls."
"You don't need to tell, I am well aware. Why do I think I chose over others?"
'Because she is our mate.' Anton mutters gleefully.
I try ignoring his comment. He had to be wrong. Her wolf wasn't present. It would be impossible to know.
Theresa walked around the desk, leaning on it and smiling at me. I was right, you do really like her, don't you?"
"She had a name." I snap, turning on my heels, and you walk away.
'You are just fighting it, why?' Anton asked as I stopped in front of the house.
'How do you know?' I mutter.
'I know, whenever she looks us in the eyes, her wolf is buried deep, but it's strong, I can feel it. Maybe even stronger than us.'
I could still smell her strange scent as I pushed open the door. I had given her another opportunity to run but she was still there.
She sits in the office, hanging her legs on her chest. Anton practically screams at me to claim her as mine. Instead, I asked her why she is still here.
"Well, I'm still here because you didn't tell me to go anywhere." She keeps her eyes low, and I wondered if she knew. "And I have nowhere to go."
"Have you looked through my stuff?" I asked, glancing around at the paper on my desk. It actually remained the same and untouched, but that didn't mean it hadn't been touched.
Her hair falls around her face as she shakes her head.
"I have zero tolerance for lies, remember!" I reminded her. I don't do scheming women."
She frowns. "I didn't look because…" She drags her teeth across her bottom lip and her cheeks flame. "I…I can't read."
I least expected her to say that. The others would come up with some crazy cooked lies.
"School?"
She shakes her head. I should have guess that she never went to school. Not if she has been a slave since she was four.
"Theresa tried teaching me a bit, but I didn't understand."
Why didn't Theresa tell me? Is it because she likes Emilia too? By the way, she has never been interested in any of my other brides. In fact, she hated every single one of them.
"I get it." She mutters. "You now regret choosing me, but please don't kill me. I can work, I can clean,I can do anything you need me to do. Just please, don't kill me."
I immediately pulled her up from the chair, and planted my lips on hers.

Emilia's POV
His lips appeared rough, yet very soft, I couldn't help but just had to pull away. He looked annoyed, frustrated, maybe even angry as he stared at me. I couldn't be sure. His hands that had been clenched around my upper arm drops, as he takes a step back from me.
I had rejected an Alpha and he was an Alpha who most likely had never been rejected before. What have I done?
His crimson eyes hovered on my face until I lowered my gaze. I felt mortified that it had even happened. I never had expected my first kiss to be like this.
He snaps at me. "You can leave." He said, turning away and moving to his desk.
"Uhm, I should leave? Leave where exactly? I whisper, fully expecting me to throw me out of his pack"
"Just leave the office!"
I gently worked away, but suddenly paused at the door, wondering if I should apologize. Glancing back, I see him focusing on the paperwork. He flicks his hand at me, showing me the way.
Stepping out into the hallway, I feel my cheeks burn.
Just then, I heard a deep voice echoing. "Are you okay?"
Looking up, I see one of the men who came to my brother's house with Alpha Anker. The more I looked at him, the more I got to see how much he looks like Theresa. He possesses almost the same features as Theresa. The same dark hair and dark eyes.
"I've been longing to have a time with you. I'm Albert." He smiles.
"Alpha Anker's brother?" I whisper as he slides down the hallway towards me.
"I want to believe that you most likely must have met my twin too."
"Are you talking about Theresa?" She had only mentioned brother, she had not said that Albert was her twin, not that it was important though.
He leans against the wall next to me. "Yeah, she is the one. Is everything alright? You appear flustered."
"Not really, just tired.". I lied. I didn't know who or if I could trust anyone around here. I definitely didn't want to spill my guts to Alpha Anker's younger brother. "Just trying to remember the way back to my room."
"Okay, I could help show you the way." His dark eyes drift past my face to my chest before looking back up. I had seen such a look so many times, though not here, but back in my home.
"You will do no such thing." Alpha Anker snaps as he rips the office door open. "Don't you think you should be training along with others right about now?"
I see how Albert frowns and holds his hands up. "Was just trying to be friendly." Albert mumbles, but he has a smirk on his face before he turns and walks away.
Alpha Anker fixed his gaze on me." I love my brother, but I would prefer it if you were never alone with him." His tone had changed from how it had been in his office.
I couldn't help but stare at him steadily, after all, he was the one who sent me away. Could this be some kind of test? My brother and Beta Clarke would like to test me now and then.
