Chapter 5 - Rina

He almost felt bad for a second sitting in such a high end car with such ragged clothes, the feeling quickly washed away, after all it was his car, and he was now filthy rich.

Who cares, who cares! It's my car now and I can do whatever I want with it.

Plus he could just take it to deep wash later anyway.

He was a little curious about who had delivered such a massive car so fast in the middle of the street in broad daylight.

But… Why would he worry about boring stuff when he could enjoy the fruits of his labor—or, more accurately, the fruits of three years of daily gaming sign-ins?

Welp. How do I learn the skill come again?

Immediately as Furuhiya thought of that, a flood of information he never knew overwhelmed him.

It caused him a slight headache but it quickly went away as the flood of information stopped.

As for the skill? As the name suggested, he became decent at driving any vehicle, be it motorcycle, car or a boat.

It was a decent skill.

Curious to see what had changed, Furuhiya placed his hand on the steering wheel–not to much surprise, not much had changed.

"Well it's to be expected I guess."

At least he had the courage to turn it on and take it for a ride, the courage at least.

Without wasting any more time he turned the car on, found his location on the gps and drove off.

Greenberry residential complex, Valcrest ville estate.

Furuhiya's green Porsche came to a stop in front of the complex.

Inside the car, Furuhiya was on cloud nine. The drive from his old neighborhood to here was halfway rough, but despite the nonstop bumps he didn't feel a thing.

Almost as if he had rode a cloud here instead of driving.

Despite having doubts about the skill, it turned out alright. Albeit he wasn't the best driver out there, he managed to not damage the car… Yet.

Furuhiya turned off the car and took the keys, then imagined the apartment's documents and keys which instantly materialized with a pink puff of air on his knees.

The first thing he noticed were–obviously documents. But the second thing took much more of his attention.

Atop the documents sat a small black card with matte gold stripes.

Furuhiya picked up the card, and at first touch he felt that the gold was real, and that the card was made of special material due to the high class feeling it gave him.

He grinned again, he just couldn't stop it.

Furuhiya left the car and closed the door, lightly stretching and taking in the fresh air of the neighborhood. Completely different from his old neighborhood's polluted air.

Then his head swirled around, left, right, he was left shocked. All around were luxurious cars, Mercedes, Maybach, BMW, Lamborghini, Ferrari…

The sight of these expensive cars made Furhiya's head swirl, is he in the right place, like not literally, but actually?

Does he belong there?

The answer was no, but luck,

Ahem.

Fruit of his gaming labor for the past three years got him here.

As he spotted the doors he took a few steps forward, looking around he couldn't spot any dirt–even in the open garage he was at. It wasn't just cars, the complexes were also luxurious.

Now he knew why the security guards stopped him at the tall iron gates, despite the luxurious car.

Furuhiya smiled as he opened the building's door and entered. Inside there were two elevators.

He stared between the two, then got closer to the left one.

Apparently the condo came with its own elevator, so he was about to use the card and call for it when the other elevator opened.

The elevator doors slid open, and a tall girl stepped out. She carried herself with effortless confidence, a white T-shirt lifting just enough to show a sliver of her waist beneath a black jacket.

A red mini skirt traced her long legs, her heels clicking softly against the floor—sharp, steady, impossible to ignore.

furuhiya froze–he knew who this was.

Rina?

She looked his way, golden earrings catching the light against her soft, round face. Short black strands slipped over her blue eyes, giving her gaze a quiet, effortless allure.

She passed by him, her heels clicking against the cold tiles of the hallway. Furuhiya still stood frozen when suddenly she stopped.

"Wait a second…?" She turned around, he could feel it. "Furu-chi?"

No one had called him that since high school.

He ignored it.

With a shaky hand, he tried to slide his card into the reader and call the elevator.

"You're Furu-chi, right?"

Rina was Furuhiya's former classmate. Middle school and high school, before he dropped out half way through the first year.

The reason being… Her.

At least one of them. They lived in completely different worlds, Rina was a golden spoon, as wealthy as one can be while Furuhiya came from a struggling family on the outskirts of the city.

His parents worked hard so he and his sister could educate themselves in the centre, and live there in an apartment without worrying about commuting.

Also she was the beautiful, pretty, cute, intelligent class queen bee while he was the quiet, dumb kid.

"Hey~" She came closer, her perfume alluring to Furuhiya despite his hate for her. "Are-"

"W-wrong."

"What?"

He stood tall, despite his shaky legs. "Wrong person..."

"Hm." She sighed, tilting her head. "Well if you say so."

"Ah-" She turned around, "That elevator it's for private use. You can use the general elevator instead."

"Alright.. Thanks."

Just as she continued walking, DING! She was stunned to hear an unfamiliar elevator sound.

She sharply turned and saw the private elevator which hadn't opened since forever, open.

Her eyes widened in confusion as he saw the man who looked like her old classmate, dressed in clothes barely fitting for a delivery person than anything more, open the private elevator.

Her eyes roamed all over him, trying to find something if she missed anything.

That's when she spotted the card as Furuhiya was taking it out of the reader, "That-That card?"

As someone who had lived in that building for a few years now, she knew exactly what it meant.

What she couldn't grasp was how a person who looked like he delivered for a job could afford it.

And then there were the papers in his hands as well.

He bought it? Impossible.

She decided to ask him, just as Furuhiya stepped into the elevator. "Hey-"

Unfortunately for her, Furuhiya didn't bother, or rather didn't want to have any further conversation with her.

He watched nonchalantly as she ran over to the elevator, which closed in her face.
